How To Catch a Book Babe

Rate this book
Biker boys and a book babe? What’s not to love about that plan.

There’s no way Milo can resist joining the latest social media trend it’s perfect for his content (so what if he only has ten followers and one of them is his mom) and the perfect way to meet women.. All he has to do is convince his best friend Xavier to lounge on their bikes outside a bookstore, and the women will come running. After all, Milo and Xavier have everything these dirty-minded romance readers are looking for, from the red flags to the sweet rides.

Xavier is not thrilled about Milo’s plan. After all, Milo has a documented history of questionable ideas—just look at his massive pile of speeding tickets. But Milo’s enthusiasm is impossible to resist. Together, the two bikers set up outside the most popular bookstore in town, film a few ridiculous clips, and prepare for absolutely nothing to happen.

Then June walks out. She’s brilliant, shy, and absolutely not the type of girl who should give two reckless bikers the time of day. But she’s also hot and bothered from her latest spicy book, enough that it hinders her normally rational decision-making.

An impulsive invitation leads to one unforgettable night for the three of them, but it’s most definitely a one-time thing.

Except Xavier and Milo keep showing up on June’s front porch.

Soon the boys’ wacky plan turns into something sweeter than they ever a slow-growing throuple shaped by late-night visits, spontaneous kisses, and hours spent in June’s bed worshipping each other.

But the silly social media prank can’t lead to anything lasting or real, can it?

Xavier and Milo are very new to providing their social media content. However, they have a plan. It's one that involves sitting outside of a bookstore, mainly for one particular reason. It's for a sweet and shy woman named June. Their plan is based on the idea that if a woman likes a concept in a story version, then the same applies to the real world. Well, there might be some truth to this concept since this woman seems to definitely likes her guys on motorcycles.

All Spice, No Substance: A Messy Biker Fantasy Ride

This book reads like someone’s chaotic fantasy stitched together from a biker Instagram feed. It throws in just about every popular trope and kink it can find, without much care for cohesion.

The result? It’s undeniably spicy and easy to breeze through, but also pretty mindless. If you’re looking for depth—whether that’s meaningful character development or a layered, engaging plot—you won’t find it here.

That said, if your goal is pure escapism with a heavy dose of heat, it might still scratch that itch. Just don’t go in expecting anything beyond surface-level entertainment.

My favorite quotes:
Why was my mouth always three steps ahead of my brain's quality control department?

"The roads were fin," Milo said, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her close for a kiss. "X was the hazardous condition."

Bikes, books, and a throuple built on chaos, care, and way too much heat.

Milo’s plan is simple: park outside a romance bookstore, film some thirst traps, and wait for the book babes to roll in. It’s supposed to be a goofy stunt, not the moment everything changes. But when June walks out mid-spice-scene and locks eyes with two hot bikers, one impulsive night flips all their expectations.

Xavier’s the last guy who should be catching feelings. He’s all sharp edges and buried damage, more comfortable pushing people away than letting them close. Milo, all charm and chaos, hides fear with jokes and flirty grins. And June? She’s used to rules and quiet, not the intensity of two reckless men who want her exactly as she is.

What starts as chemistry crashes into something deeper. Between late-night visits, emotional messes, and unexpected tenderness, they build something raw and real. But love takes more than heat. It means showing your scars, trusting your people, and choosing to stay when it’s easier to run.

Xavier starts out closed off, thinking love isn’t something he gets to have. Milo grows from chaos to caretaker, learning to give and take without fear. And June, steady and brilliant, shifts from distance to connection, navigating intimacy. Together, they become something messy and worth holding onto.

An ultra-hot, high-heat MMF biker romance blending bisexual awakening, kink exploration, found family, hurt comfort, mutual pining, and spontaneity that turns one impulsive hookup into something lasting. Featuring a neurodivergent heroine, soft dom, and submissive hero, it explores identity, emotional vulnerability, self-worth, love, and intimacy that transforms. It’s about learning to trust and be seen, choosing love without shame, and building a relationship that doesn’t fit the mold but fits exactly right.

The Elevator Pitch: Two reckless bikers film a thirst trap outside a bookstore and end up falling hard for the brilliant, autistic woman who walks out. What begins as one impulsive night spirals into an MMF throuple full of emotional vulnerability, kink exploration, and unexpected love. It's sharp, steamy, tender, and grounded in a connection that doesn't just heal, it transforms.

The characters within the narrative are not just funny; they are multifaceted, realistic, relatable, lovable, and exceptionally well-developed, each contributing to the richness of the story in their own unique way.

Milo stands out as a loyal, humorous, and exceptionally talented character whose creative spirit shines through every page. His romantic nature is not just a trait but a defining aspect of his personality, allowing readers to connect with him on a deeper level. He embodies the idea of kindness, often going out of his way to consider the feelings and needs of those around him. This thoughtful approach to life makes him relatable, as many readers can see parts of themselves reflected in his creative thinking and genuine care for others. Milo's journey is filled with moments of self-discovery and growth, showcasing how his creativity can sometimes clash with the expectations of the world around him, adding layers to his character that resonate with anyone who has ever felt out of place or misunderstood.

Xavier, on the other hand, presents a contrast to Milo with his quieter demeanor and strong, albeit stubborn, personality. He is a character who grapples with the weight of his past, making him a deeply relatable figure for anyone who has faced their own struggles. His journey through anxiety and self-doubt adds depth to his character, making his internal conflicts palpable. Readers will find themselves empathizing with his worries about not being good enough for those he loves, as these feelings are universal. Xavier's strength lies in his vulnerability, and as he navigates his relationships, particularly with Milo and June, he demonstrates that it is okay to seek help and support from others. His character arc is a testament to resilience and the importance of self-acceptance.

June is a vibrant, funny, and intelligent character who serves as a beacon of hope and positivity. Her talents and creativity shine brightly, making her a source of inspiration not only for Milo and Xavier but also for the readers. June’s ability to bring light into even the darkest situations is a powerful trait that resonates with many who have experienced their own emotional lows. She embodies the idea that strength can be found in vulnerability, and her journey showcases the beauty of overcoming personal struggles. June’s character is a reminder that it is possible to experience both joy and sorrow, and her emotional depth makes her relatable to anyone who has faced challenges while still striving for happiness.

The settings in this novella are vividly described, allowing readers to immerse themselves fully in the world alongside the characters. Each location is painted with rich detail, creating an atmosphere that enhances the emotional weight of the narrative. Readers can easily visualize the environments in which Milo, Xavier, and June navigate their lives, making their experiences feel more tangible and impactful.

The writing itself strikes a balance between humor and emotion, effectively showcasing the full spectrum of human experience. From moments of happiness and laughter to instances of sadness and introspection, the prose captures the essence of what it means to be human. This blend of light-heartedness and depth makes the story engaging and relatable, inviting readers to reflect on their own lives while following the characters' journeys.

The plot is intricately woven, offering a well-developed narrative that, while occasionally moving at a brisk pace, maintains a compelling trajectory. The romance that unfolds between Milo, Xavier, and June is particularly well-executed, creating a dynamic that is both spicy and heartfelt. Their interactions are filled with tension and tenderness, allowing readers to invest emotionally in their relationships.

However, a point of critique arises in the way emotional moments between the three characters are sometimes overshadowed by the more intense, spicy scenes that follow. This can create a sense of imbalance, where the heartfelt connections feel momentarily lost amidst the passion, leaving readers yearning for more space to fully appreciate the emotional depth of their interactions.

“How To Catch a Book Babe: A Spicy MMF Motorcycle Club Romance” is a beautifully crafted novella that masterfully blends sweet and spicy elements. It provides readers with not only tantalizing moments of romance but also deeply heartfelt exchanges that allow connections to form between the characters and the audience. This narrative is a celebration of love, friendship, and the complexities of human emotions, making it a delightful read for those looking to explore the nuances of relationships in a vibrant, engaging setting.

This book features an autistic engineer who finds love with two boys from the wrong side of the tracks… who just so happen to fall for each other, too.

My Thoughts:
I read the whole thing but mentally DNF around 15-20%. Nothing about these characters or story line really caught my attention. Because I was mentally checked out I thought there seemed to be many grammar mistakes which took away from me wanting to read the book. If you are just wanting smut I guess this will work. I honestly don’t even remember a single chapter after the characters got together that didn’t have a scene. This book was overrun with the smut. I felt like all they liked about each other was physical and none of them took the time to learn about the others. Definitely a waist of my time and glad I didn’t have to pay money to read it.

How To Catch a Book Babe by Kristin Lance is one of those stories that sneaks up on you—starting as a ridiculous social media stunt and slowly, sweetly turning into something heartfelt, affirming, and surprisingly tender.

Milo’s plan is objectively unhinged: park motorcycles outside a bookstore, film some cringe-worthy content, and wait for romance readers to fall into their laps. With ten followers (one being his mom) and a long history of bad ideas, Milo’s optimism feels equal parts hilarious and endearing. Xavier, his more guarded best friend, knows this is probably going to crash and burn—but goes along anyway, because that’s what you do for the people you love.

Enter June.

June isn’t loud or reckless. She’s brilliant, shy, autistic, and very much in tune with her own needs—even when desire momentarily knocks her off balance. What starts as an impulsive, spicy encounter quickly becomes something far more meaningful as Milo and Xavier keep showing up, literally and emotionally. The result is a slow-building, deeply intimate throuple that grows from physical chemistry into trust, communication, and genuine care.

One of the greatest strengths of this book is its character work. June’s self-awareness and clear communication are refreshing and empowering to read, especially as she advocates for herself without apology. Milo’s relentless optimism and determination make him impossible not to root for, while Xavier’s journey—working through historical trauma, low self-esteem, and learning to ask for help—is handled with compassion and respect. Watching the three of them learn how to support one another feels earned and deeply satisfying.

Yes, the book is spicy—deliciously so—but the heat never overshadows the emotional growth. The intimacy feels purposeful, celebratory, and rooted in connection rather than shock value. Add in triple POV, fast pacing, and a romance that blends sweetness with chaos, and you’ve got a story that’s both fun and fulfilling.

How To Catch a Book Babe is proof that sometimes the silliest plans lead to the most meaningful love stories. If you enjoy biker boys with soft hearts, bookish heroines who know themselves, and romances that balance heat with healing, this one absolutely deserves a spot on your TBR.

this was fine. i liked it better than the first one but i dunno that it deserves a whole extra star.

these books aren’t long by any means, but the problem is that they feel too long for the amount of information that you actually get. you don’t end these books really feeling like you know these characters, although i will say you know them a teensy bit better than you did in the first one.

xavier has the most character detail and development, which is nice, but i wish all three characters were equally well developed. june seems to have some unresolved boundary issues with her parents which are not really set up well, and seem to be resolved over the course of one and a half conversations. and honestly these issues with her parents seem to mostly be there just to trigger a panic attack and for xavier to handle half of the phone call and then comfort june.

milo is the character that seems to have the least development and therefore becomes a little incongruent with his description. he’s the fun one, more emotionally healthy and aware than the other two, but then also exacting and dominant and powerful. and it’s not that those things can’t exist together, they absolutely can, but it’s more that it comes out of nowhere. the beginning of the book has xavier calling milo out on his crush on him and kinda teasing him about it, and then all of a sudden milo is calling himself daddy and giving xavier emotional maintenance spankings.

but again, this one was much more fun than the last one so it’s not completely bad, it just more feels a little thoughtless. it doesn’t feel like a story about three people who fall in love. it just feels like three people who like sleeping together and exploring themselves together.

This small-town biker romance completely surprised me—in the best possible way. Despite the biker element, this is not a motorcycle club romance at all. Instead, it’s about two young friends who simply love their motorbikes and are trying to get their lives together. They feel like real, normal people rather than genre stereotypes, which makes the story especially charming.
Their idea to find a girlfriend via a romance bookstore is both funny and endearing, and that’s where they meet an autistic woman who initially enters a situationship with them. What really stood out to me is how naturally this connection evolves into a genuine relationship between all three of them. Nothing feels rushed or forced—the emotions, trust, and commitment grow gradually and very organically.
Alongside the romance, the characters also face changes in their professional lives, which leads them to reassess old friendships and connections. These shifts add emotional depth and realism to the story. The book doesn’t shy away from showing the backlash they receive for their relationship, but even this is handled thoughtfully and realistically.
Overall, this is a beautifully written, cozy, and heartfelt reverse harem romance that focuses on growth, communication, and chosen family. The relationship development feels authentic, respectful, and deeply human. An absolute joy to read and an easy recommendation.

This is a standalone story within the series.

It follows the story of June, Milo, and Xavier. Their connection is quite sweet and engaging. The plot kicks off with Milo and Xavier trying out some new social media to find a 'book babe' outside a book shop, which is how they end up meeting June.

I really liked June as a character because she is so honest and straightforward. She is autistic, which I found really refreshing. It was lovely to see how patient and protective Milo and Xavier were with her, and I enjoyed watching the three of them figure out how to make their unconventional relationship work. Their support for one another was definitely the highlight for me.

I've seen videos with bikers outside book stores and I love this take on the social media already out there.

Their initial meeting was very blunt and to the point, and I'm sure with most women it wouldn't have worked and would have ended up with them with a black eye.

The way they evolve and become a relationship is very sweet, and it was lovely to see how Milo and Xavier deal with their attraction to each other, more so than with June.

Overall a sweet contemporary MMF.

This story is triple POV, well written, and a fast-paced, sweet and spicy, contemporary ménage a trois romance between June, the female autistic electric motorcycle engineer lead, and Xavier and Milo, the financially struggling male motorcycle enthusiast leads attempting to build social media influencer status. I enjoyed June’s acceptance and accommodation of her own needs, including the way she clearly communicated with Milo and Xavier. I enjoyed Milo’s optimistic approach to the world and his determination to keep trying for success. I empathised with Xavier’s historical trauma and appreciated the support the others gave him, including the push for professional assistance. I enjoyed seeing his self esteem and his communication around his own needs improve. I enjoyed the spicy intimate scenes, and the building of a relationship from a physical base. I enjoyed the personal growth and development of individual characters. I enjoyed the ending.

How to catch a book babe is a super spicy lust to love story between an autistic engeneer and two motorcycle lovers guys.

I really loved seeing the way the characters learned to be together, accepting each other and helping each other understand one own needs. We have three very different people here, an autistic girl, with difficulties understanding social cues and communicating within society's norms; a broken boy, always waiting for the other shoe to drop, running away before he could get left behind; and a golden retriever guy always wanting to help, but afraid to ask for what he really needs. Seeing them together, growing into an unconventional relationship was very satisfying, and I loved the personal grow each character goes through.

Plus, there's plenty of spice. If the characters weren't so complex, I would have put this into erotica territory, but as things stand, I feel like the plot deserves to be recognized.

Overall, this is a sweet, super hot read, relatively quick and with plenty of feel good moments.

Absolutely loved this story! It felt so real and I easily bonded with each of the characters. I also found a little bit of myself in each of them, which made it all the more real to me.

And chapter 13 was absolutely amazing! I love watching X break down and let everything out only to be put back together in a loving way. That scene nearly broke my heart for his hurt, but oh it was so fantastic to read.

And then when June finally has a long overdue conversation with her parents while silently being supported by her boys was chef's kiss.

And when it was finally Milo's turn to need someone to care for him and June and X stepped up to the challenge without batting an eye - swoon!

Loving this new series and can't wait for the next one. Hopefully Aimee will get her polycule soon along with her happily ever after.

I grab Kristin Lance's books without really reading the blurbs. It usually is a non-issue for me. This book was more unsettled/angsty because the characters are younger and less established. More insecure and more life hurts that haven't been dealt with yet.

The story was enjoyable but I was frustrated with one of the MMCs letting his buttons be pushed by an annoying, unimportant person. This lead to me having to put the book into a timeout while I was hesitant to continue reading. Wish I had forced myself to keep reading because it moved forward quickly.

I have no regrets reading the book but I would probably not have read it this particular week if I had known more about it. For someone else, I think what bothered me would have been a non-issue or a blip but I can only speak from my perspective.

As far as the neurodivergent element, that was a non-issue and fit the MFC.

The AI narration was horrible, personally wish I read it instead of listened to it. The two men were easy to separate in my head by their personalities milo the funny, always happy (daddy) to them while axel is more of a masking his emotions so know one can hurt him type. But that being said its easy to differentiate them, with the writing it became confusing during two of the sex scenes... reverse harem an why choose are my preferred reads and I rarely have this issue unless its with indie authors. The author wanted the whole book to be about the fmcs autism and a found family vibe but, and I feel it would've worked if there was a better plot. Biker guys waiting in a parking lot of a book store to create tiktoks was a start, but it became boring quickly when I realized there wasnt going to be more of a plot.

Kristin Lance's How to Catch a Book Babe is an excellent addition to the Aimee Position Series. Kristin Lance is great at writing MMF stories, and this one definitely delivers. I really loved the inclusion of an autistic character. June’s very straightforward, no hidden meanings way of speaking adds so much to the group dynamic and feels real and authentic. Watching the three of them work through their individual issues together is what truly makes this story stand out.

If you are looking for an MMF romance with both heart and heat, plus some seriously sexy motorcycle guys, this is definitely the one for you.

This was a really cute read and super fast too. I will say caught me off guard with how spicy it was and it really picked up pretty fast, but the character development in a shorter book was really impressive and I liked it a lot.

Watching X grow into a more confident person, when he was insecure and felt like he didn’t deserve love. Watching how he grew confident and accepting of love was so cute. It was definitely a non-stereotypical book and kind of jumped right into it, but it was very cute.

If you are looking for a found family, and very spicy book, this is definitely up your alley. It basically covered everything that you could think of and captures polyamory very well. Overall adorable and fast read, and what can I say… I am a sucker for a biker.

A great addition to this series!

We meet Milo and Xavier, best friends since primary school, living together and working mediocre jobs whilst trying to get there online presence noticed. Unbeknown to Xavier, Milo has crushed on him for years but not acting on it for fear of upset.

Whilst filming new content at the local bookshop, they meet June, an autistic engineer. Throwing caution to the wind, they approach her with an unorthodox request and what follows is a beautifully constructed story that grapples with life, love, bisexuality and neurodiversity in a "mainstream" world.

Bikers and their Book Babe

So much better than book 2! Now this was a cohesive book with all the characters fleshed out. I really enjoyed the growth from where they started. X has zero filter and at first I thought oh he!! No this is not the book for me, but then as the story developed and the FMC explained she has autism and she preferred people to state exactly what they what or mean because subtle nuances would go unregistered. Milo is just full on book boyfriend energy. Love the multiple POVs. I wanted more of an epilogue, but all in all so much better than the first book! Loved the whole concept! Lean into the bikers and tik tok craze happening.

Why choose/ MFM/ MM/ friends to lovers/ pining/ polyamory/ motorcycle MMCs/ found family/ HEA

Trigger warning: neglectful parenting/ anxiety/ panic attacks/ motorcycle accident

This story was pretty spicy and I love when the boyfriends are also boyfriends. I will say, one thing that bugged me was that Milo’s personality seemed to change. At the beginning he was compared to a golden retriever but after they all hooked up the first time, he turned into a self assured daddy dom. All of his golden retriever traits seemingly just disappeared. I don’t mind him being dominant but between the start of the book and the end, it read like 2 completely different characters.

HOW TO CATCH A BOOK BABE is Book 2 of The Aimee Position. It's a steamy, smutty, MMF, bi-awakening, girl gets gets her 2 bikers romance. Xavier and Milo are 2 hunky bikers trying to set a thirst trap outside a bookstore, hoping a cute book babe wants a biker hookup. It's more a joke for their social media content. But June comes out all hot and bothered after reading her spicy book. She is a sweet, sassy, autistic booklover. The three have what is supposed to be a one-night stand but it becomes more as the boys keep returning. This was a fun, smutty read. It's not overly deep but I liked the characters. There were some laughs along with hot chemistry and a happy ending.

This was another wonderful addition to the series and I really liked the inclusion of an autistic character. June is lovely, very straightforward and just so relatable. Milo and Xavier are best friends and are looking to boost their content followers by posting pics at a bookstore... I enjoyed watching the three of them work through all their personal issues and seeing their communication growth. Of course, the spice was spicing and a fab HEA is in store for them ;) I've really been enjoying this whole series and look forward to the next book. Good fun!

Books, Bikes and Bared Feelings

Milo and Xavier figure they’ll hang out outside their local romance bookstore in the hope of meeting a “book babe” or two, when instead, they see June. I loved how June was bluntly honest, and how her nature led to the bedroom (well, actually the coach) basically right after they met. The red hot heat comes first, but I loved how they learned to be vulnerable with each other. A wonderful story, with terrific representation and five hot chilli peppers worth of heat.

Spicier than I thought!

The book cover is deceiving…this book is much spicier than I thought it would be! (but I’m not complaining…)

June is autistic, smart, and loves to read. Xavier and Milo are best friends who are blue-collar workers just trying to get by.

Milo is trying to capitalize on the current trend of bikers and books on social media and convinces Xavier to tag along. That’s where they meet June.

The relationship between the three is sweet, definitely spicy and fun to read!

If all you’re looking for is mindless smut, this is your book. It tries for sweet and serious at times but honestly I think that just confused the tone further. I couldn’t work out if it was trying to be overtly self-aware in a Book Lovers kind of way, or if it was perpetrating harmful stereotypes about romance readers… I choose to ignore all these things and just go with it.

It’s not badly written by any means, it’s just not super cohesive, and I will say that the kink is handled very poorly.

It’s definitely a book I’d recommend to certain people, but with caveats.

Who ever said book babes weren't as kinky (or more) as biker dudes obviously had never known either. Heaps of spice, loaded with humor, absolutely sarurated with the kind of grace and understanding and kindness that make the hottest relationships last forever, and an HEA that will make you blush to your toes. I got this from a SYK and...it's okay, a fun concept, spicy, but maybe a little too long for me? Two motorcycle men start capitalizing on bookish social media, meet the girl of their dreams, and realize they have feelings for each other, too.
Most of the conflict was just X's past trauma and thinking he wasn't good enough to move up in the world or have an actual relationship with June because they came from different economic backgrounds.
