This is book one in a new series from this author.
Faith is attending a party in her honor when she’s confronted by a betrayal. The dust has barely settled from that when she inherits an unexpected legacy.
This is a well written story. It feels intense at times and is full of secrets. I’m looking forward to the next one in this series.

Good beginning to a new series. Secrets and Intrique come to light. Publishing power figure Faith learns the truth about her marriage to another publishing mogul. On the heels of her divorce secrets come to light about Faith’s path.

New family dynamics have a muddled mess of secrets, politics, and unknown family ties. Resentment also affects new relationships. With her new legacy comes danger and insecurity.

Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.

People say your life can change in a moment and Faith learns that first hand. While being celebrated for an amazing career as an editor, she learns her husband is cheating with her best friend. Then within hours, Faith receives a call that her mother has died. However, it's not the mother who raised her.

Finding out she is adopted is certainly a shock but uncovering why and family secrets may be more shocking.

All ng with family secrets, come 3 sisters are not quite happy to learn about Faith. Can they come together as a true family while grieving a mother and uncovering truths?

This story was the perfect intro into the Harrington family and I can't wait to reach more about all the Harrington sisters.

Kimberly Thomas has given her readers the first book in a new series called The House of Harrington. Based on this book, the series is going to be a very suspenseful page turner.

Faith is a successful editor and ghost writer at a major publication house in Manhattan. She is married to the perfect man and they have two grown daughters. She finds out at a gala in her honor that her husband and best friend are having an affair. As her world begins to collapse in a very public scandal
she gets another major life surprise. She never knew that she’d been adopted until she receives a phone call from her biological mother’s attorney telling her that her mother had died and she needed to be at the reading of the will. She meets her three sisters that she never knew about and who are angry that their mother left Faith the family mansion and the family publishing house. When she begins to read her mother’s journals, she finds that her mother kept a lot of secrets - secrets that some rich and powerful people in DC wanted to keep buried at any cost

There is a lot of ground to be covered in the upcoming series about the family secrets and how they will affect Faith and her sisters. I read book one in one sitting and can’t wait to learn more about the Harringtons in the rest of the series.

"Inheritance"-A novel masterpiece.

A wife, a mother of two grown children, and a brilliant editor, Faith reels with a flurry of lifechanging blows. All she believed about her life turns to chaos as facts leave her no firm foundation. She inherits a seaside mansion and a well known publishing house after a will reading that stuns her and produces three siblings who are angered at her unexpected existence.

The author created a complex plot with believable characters and the gift of making the reader live vicariously in the story. Her eloquent writing glows beyond the five star rating available. The reader, living the three dimensional plot with superb writing, finds skimming impossible. I read long past midnight immersed in Faith's struggles and her daughter's help. How will she reconcile three furious siblings who feel cheated out of their inheritance? The grave danger of a long hidden truth coming to light involves the whole family. Don’t miss this incredible novel. You won't be disappointed!

Loved, loved, loved this read! This is such a strong and engaging introduction to the series, and it immediately pulled me in from the very first chapters. Kimberly does a fantastic job guiding the reader down the rabbit hole of the plot, slowly revealing layers that kept you hooked and curious about what’s coming next.

I especially appreciate how she introduced the different characters. Each one felt purposeful and well-placed within the story, appearing at just the right. Moments to build tension and keep the momentum going. The pacing was spot on, never rushed nor dragging. It left me eager to keep turning the pages.

If this book is any indication of what’s to come in the series, I can’t wait to see where the story goes next!

Inheritance

A gripping, emotional and painful story that has been locked away for forty-two years is about to break free from the secret places it's been locked away in. A mother's silence, A child deprived from knowing her family, and the political men that held the power of it all is about to be exposed. This was engaging, and a gripping read. I could not put it down. The characters are strong, loyal and very likeable. Going to grab book 2 in the series. Enjoy
