In the war between progress and preservation, someone just committed murder.
Spring has finally arrived in Tidal Cove. The snow is melting. The tourists are returning. And real estate developer Raymond Cross is face-down at his controversial construction site.
Cross had enemies everywhere. Environmentalists who'd chained themselves to his bulldozers. Locals who didn't want their town turned into a resort playground. Business partners with secrets in the contracts.
Even Wren has been fighting him. The feral cat colony she's been caring for lives on the land he planned to destroy.
Now she's a suspect. And so is everyone else.
But Wren notices something the police miss. The feral cats are acting strange. They've been watching the site for months. They saw who came and went the night Cross died. They know the escape route the killer used.
The cats can't testify. But Wren can read their fear. And what she discovers leads to secrets buried deeper than any foundation.
A cozy mystery about the price of progress, the cats who guard the truth, and a community torn apart. Book 3 in the Paws & Probable Cause series. Your spring escape awaits.
This book needs an editor to review it asap. The facts of the book change, he\him and she\her used incorrectly often. The book goes from current to past without understanding. The topic was good and charactors have potential but descriptors need help immediately. The same descriptors are on repeat so much, I scan read when a description of environment was being written. It has potential with a few edits throughout the series.
