A fantastic, surprising, thriller with compelling, realized characters and a vivid sense of place.

I will NOT spoil the book. I will just say, this was an easy read. It helps with Google Translate if you don't know Spanish. There are a few Spanish sentences and words.
The beginning of the book gives you an introduction to each character as the story builds. I had my suspicions based off one specific character's personality and I was right, but didn't expect some of the things that eventually occured to certain people. The story intensifies and later you will understand why the Enemy Sleeps and what Coyotes have to do with it, and how the image on the cover relates. Make sure to read the prologue and epilogue.
