I loved how the book breaks down technical jargon, concepts like IPOs finally made sense, along with managed funds and mutual funds. It also helped clarify assumptions I didn’t even realise I was holding. I used to believe, like many do, that if an expert is actively managing investments for me, the returns must be better. But the data doesn’t support that, and seeing this laid out so clearly was eye-opening.
I’m not completely new to investing, but I was looking to answer these exact questions and rethink how I rebalance my portfolio. Having followed Simran Kaur and the Girls That Invest community online for a while, I’ve always found their content authentic and genuinely helpful.
On a more personal note, I loved seeing Indian and South Asian names used in the book’s case studies.
This is a great book to introduce yourself to the world of investing! The author does a great job breaking down concepts and techniques into something more digestible than the typical financial jargon. Really appreciated the thought and care she put into writing this book, I’m looking forward to starting my investing journey!
