Lynn is a sixteen year old orphaned Simple. She is a girl who always carries her father's dagger and absolutely loves squirrels. She follows the wisdom her parent's gave her religiously, but when she is selected for The Chances for seemingly no reason, suddenly her parent's wisdom seems to be sending her in entirely different directions. They told her to follow her heart, but to be wary of The Royal Family, and she can't do both at once.
Lynn has spent most of her life staying under the radar. Her only friend is Trisha, the shop owner that she works for. Now, she's involved in The Chances and that is changing.
