When the Witch-Queen's guards come to Temmi's village to steal one of the flying bears, Temmi is furious. But when he realizes that it's Cush they've come for, Temmi's favourite of the bears, Temmi decides to set out for the ice palace and rescue his friend. Will he be able to win round the Princess and save the little bear?
I would rate this about 3.5 stars. I enjoyed the journey the book took me on but I feel as if som much was left unsaid. The world the book is set in is a place I want to further explore (which I will in the frost dragon), but at this time only had limited access.
Temmi is a fun character and though he seems set in his ways he still feels very understanding. Agna is interesting as she tries to be something she obviously has difficulty achieving. The dwarfs are fun and throw in a bit of nonsense. Tin nose is odd - he feels like he’s a main character but then he’s just sort of there
The contrast between Temmi’s home and the castle are very big it seemed brutal to jump from the village to the castle.
It was a fun, quick read, and I’m not dissatisfied I just would like to know more about the people.
