Oh how I wish I could be as insane as Douman Seiman.

I mean, just look at this dialogue at the start of chapter 2:

Girl: I have a friend who's dating a tiger.

Boy: What?

Girl: A tiger. A tiger in the zoo. The other day she was saying she got to first base with him. She was all excited.

Boy: First base? You sure he wasn't just starting to eat her?

Girl: You really don't understand how a girl's heart works.

usually surprising, which is kind of my main criteria for manga, but felt pretty flat for some reason. voynich hotel is one of my favorites, so i was surprised... which is kind of my main criteria for manga...

Douman Seiman remains the only author to make me cry in less than 5 pages, with less than 50 words. An absolute master, Nickelodeon is where I think his talent for concision remains the strongest.
