Nikolo I’ve worked hard over the years to create distance from my past. It wasn’t easy and sometimes it’s still hard to think about. I’m not that same Nikolo anymore. In fact, I’m literally not the same—I’m a vampire now. And I like my life, my job, and my friends. After all, I’m bloody fantastic.
But all my hard-earned boundaries are blown to bits when one person from my past—whom I never expected to see again— walks right back into my life. Willan, my ex-best friend’s little brother.
And Gods, he got hot.
Willan I’ve had a crush on Nikolo since childhood. When he left our clan, a part of me did, too. Now I’m living in the same town as him, but I might as well be back home, because there’s no way he’ll want to talk to me. Not after what my family did to him.
So, I might be… kind of… stalking him online. As one of the Two Hot Vampire Bartenders, it’s pretty easy to keep tabs on him. But that’s my little secret and what no one knows won’t hurt anything, right?
When I finally get the chance to talk to him again it goes spectacularly wrong. But thank the Gods for my uncle Egbert, I get another shot. I can only hope it goes better because I’m desperate to have him in my life again. I just need to convince him to give me a chance.
Things heat up between Nikolo and Willan but can their relationship withstand unwelcome company who’s not in town for a friendly visit?
Magic Temptations is a MM vampire rom-com and the second in the Lead Me to Temptation series. Each book in the series is interconnected, but can be read as a standalone.
3.5⭐️ Willan isn’t keen to get to know his brother’s childhood friend again as adult. Though Willan may have had a crush on Nikolo in the past, things are complicated now. This book follows the two as they reconnect, blossom a romance, and grow as people (or..”beings” as this book calls them!)
Like the previous book, this story is very character cantered, and we get more character growth and development in this one as well.
You’ll also get: -vampire x mage -paranormal world and magic -emotional hair braiding -animosity to lovers -better communication
Like the previous book (again), I found this one to be cute! There are a lot of characters, which have diverse powers and paranormal features. I did also enjoy the fact that the MCs in this book had better communication, and that we got to learn more about them as people.
If you want a character-centred vampire series without much plot, you’ll enjoy this series. You should definitely read book 1 first though!
Oh how I loved the relationship between Nikolo and Willan in this book.
In the first installment, Nikolo comes across as a bit vain and superficial—but this story proves there is so much more to this beautiful vampire than meets the eye.
Willan has loved Nikolo since they were kids, and even he seems a little surprised when he starts noticing all the small glimpses of Nikolo’s vulnerable and deeply loving soul. Watching those layers slowly peel back was honestly one of my favorite parts.
Willan gives Nikolo the support and patience he needs to start accepting his past, and their relationship grows in such a beautiful way—like the little sparks of magic that dance between their hands.
And through everything, they always have each other.
“I’ve got you.” Willan says it more than once—and honestly, that line alone melted my heart every single time.
I would like to thank Ali Woods for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.
Ahhhhh Magic Temptations was such a cute and sexy vampire x mage romance, which had a bit of cultural depth to it that I found veeeeery intriguing.
Willian and Nikolo came from the same magically inclined mountain clan. They'd shared a rambunctious childhood…well, Nikolo and Willan's older brother were the actual agents of mayhem, and Willan's proximity to their chaos was due to his intense crush on Nikolo. But then the real bad sh!t went down and for unsurprising classist reasons, there was only one person who could take the fall.
Eventually Willan learned all the ugly details about why Niko was essentially forced to leave the clan and his home at 16/17, and that the egregious circumstances were the fault of his brother. Suffice it to say, I legit hated them all, and I was very happy that Willan was likewise NOT having any of it.
Now, 13 years later and after one life-changing scroll through socials, Willan stumbled upon Two Hot Vampire Bartenders, and (as Willan's heart always had the right of it) his childhood crush flared back to life and transformed into a very adult obsession!
There was just so much to love about Nikolo and Willan's romance! There was the intriguing bit of worldbuilding that I very much appreciated. There was their complicated dramatic past colouring their current love vibration, and all the smushy feelings of two babes falling wildly into sexy love. They were both sensitive and adorable, and I loved that Willan infused their magical culture into both his day-to-day, and also in the tender, intimate moments he shared with Nikolo.
I also ADORED all the variations of precious DAD energy in this omg! Nikolo's maker was a sumptuous eclectic, and I giggled every time Laurence & or his current paramour, Ambrose, extended their vampy parental concern when they'd picked up on or were notified about his distresses. And Kroy and Egbert were the coziest, most soothing Uncle-Dads who made me feel all snuggly and warm and craving hot cuppas all day! Willan and Nikolo were well taken care of and I loved that for them after the disastrous adults they'd come from!
Rounding out their loyal band of steadfast superstars was their dynamic friend group and their extensive social network that made their thriving community feel wide and engaging. Everyone was just so hilarious while being supportive and I really loved that energy a lot!
I had a really really great time with this wonderful installment in the Lead Me to Temptation series that continues to be the most fabulous fun! Ali Woods continues to shine as one of my all-time favourites in the genre, and I absolutely cannot wait for everything else still to come! Loved this!
This is another paranormal romance, but it’s got a wonderful twist. If you’ve read Bloody Temptations you’ve already met many of the characters, so I’ll give you a brief re-introduction to our main couple. Let me begin by stating that I received an advance copy of the book, but I am giving this review in my own words voluntarily.
Willan is a mage who works with his uncle Egbert at the store ‘The Magnifitestique Mage.’ Willan has a naughty sense of humor – he cracks a line about ‘ball handling’ in the first chapter, and though he’s referring to crystalline balls, you know he’s thinking about others. He remembers how his friend and fellow worker, Lusce, shares dirty jokes with him. Willan’s excited because his friends are introducing him to the bar Bloody Temptations, the hot spot, tonight. He hopes to see the two sexy vampires, the Hot Vampire Bros, who work and dance at the bar. His favorite, and his obsession, is Nikolo, or Nikki – who Willan knew when they were younger and lived with their clan in the mountains. Willan freezes, blowing the chance to see Nikolo.
Next, we’re re-introduced to Nikolo, as he visits the local second-hand shop, the Flimsy Sheath. The proprietor, Kroy, has a skewed sense of humor – but appreciates Nikolo’s assistance in getting merchandise on the racks, shelves, and hangers. For that, Kroy allows Nikolo to take a few things when he receives a large collection. While going through the boxes, Nikolo happens upon a necklace which reminds him of his life before he was turned into a vampire. Nikolo has kept a firm separation between his previous life and his existence as a vampire, but when Kroy mentions Egbert – the mage running The Magnifitestique Mage, Nikolo’s previous life creeps into his present. That leads to an encounter with Willan, and the romance begins.
While there’s a lot of blood in the story, it’s done in such a way that it’s neither too much nor too little. The gradual development of the romance between Willan and Nikolo is palpable and real. The characters are “fleshed out” and realistic. The resolution of how a mage and a vampire can become “fated mates” is amazing, well-handled, and joyful – even though it will end Willan’s magical abilities. The description of a being becoming a vampire is handled tactfully, but might cause some readers discomfort. Personally, I found it both believable and perfectly handled.
ARC REVIEW Magic Temptations by @aliwoodsauthor ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (4.5/5)
I fell hard for Willan and Nikolo’s second-chance supernatural romance. Mage and vampire is a pairing I’ve never read before, and it perfectly matches how unique their love story feels.
Nikolo and Willan belonged to the same clan until Nikolo was betrayed by his best friend — aka Willan’s older brother (seriously, the worst) — when they were teenagers. Willan had quietly pined for Nikolo and was heartbroken when he left, convinced he would never see him again. When they reunite as adults, thanks to mutual friends (so good to see Kai and Finn again!), Nikolo is now a vampire, and neither can deny the intense attraction between them.
While it’s a slow burn to the spicy scenes, the entire book feels sexy because of who Nikolo is. He’s one half of the Hot Vampire Bartenders, putting on Coyote Ugly–esque dances in costumes that leave little to the imagination at the bar where he works (I would die to see this). Add the tattoos covering his body and the inherent allure that comes with vampires, and he just oozes sex appeal.
Willan is no slouch either, with his beauty and powerful magic. His need to protect Nikolo had me melting, and only these two could turn what is possibly the sexiest — and most reverential — hair-braiding scene I’ve ever read into something unforgettable.
Beyond the chemistry, it’s the tenderness between them that stood out most. As a vampire, Nikolo no longer has access to the magic that once flowed through him, and Willan makes it his mission to reconnect him with it. I found that incredibly beautiful. The fact that the magic sharing isn’t sexual — which would have been the easy route — makes those moments even more meaningful and speaks to the depth of Willan’s feelings.
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC!

This is the second book in the Lead Me to Temptations series and I recommend starting with the first book. I really enjoyed this one and thought it was a soft/tender read. Nikolo and Willan's relationship evolved in the sweetest way and I loved watching them slowly fall in love with each other. There are no big climactic points in this book and it focuses on the characters more than a plot, but it was still very enjoyable. There's subtle elements of magic and trying to find connection from an old life without degressing back into old toxic behaviors. I really enjoyed how sweet and fluffy this story was. I recommend this book if you love paranormal romances with a little magic, a good amount of blood (in a fun way) and two characters trying to reconnect after over a decade apart, while sorting through some complicated feelings.
What happens when your old life suddenly collides with the new life you have made for yourself, and the changes cause a spiral that you fear will ruin everything?
Willan came to the city to work with his uncle at his family’s Mage shop, to get away from the politics of his clan and his older brother after a devastating chain of events pushed the man he had feelings for out of his home. He has made a place for himself, teaching, learning and just in general enjoying all the city has to offer until a night out with friends turns into a run in with the man he had thought lost to him.
Nikolo lost everything he had ever known as a young man due to the actions of his so called best friend. His home, his family, and his magic ripped away because of one careless mistake that wasn’t even his fault. Now, a Vampire bartender with a massive social media following, good friends and a place to call his own, life begins to spiral when he runs into his former best friends little brother, (Who grew up hot) but he doesn’t think he deserves to be let back into that old life. How can he merge the life he thought he lost with the life he made for himself, and how can he reconcile the feelings he’s suddenly having for the silly kid he grew up with?
Life isn’t easy for vampires, but Willan is determined to pull Nikolo back into his life, to find a middle ground and to fall in love. Disaster may come around several corners but will they manage to work everything out?
Wonderful supernatural M/M romance with just enough spice, and a wonderful ending, I hope this isn’t the last we see in the Temptations series.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
"Magic Temptations" by Ali Woods is the second book in the "Lead Me to Temptation" series. It's an MM Paranormal romance that follows a mage as he reconnects with his childhood crush who's been turned into a vampire.
Ratings: Overall: 5/5 hearts - This book, like the previous one in the series, checks all the boxes for me. There's romance, spice, magic, vampires, and it's set in an interesting world.
Peppers: 4/5 - This book felt slightly more spicy than the previous book.
Spice: 5/5 - The spice that's here, is great. There's a lot of variety in the scenes, which I really missed in book 1, and there's heaps of sexual tension that had me holding my breath.
Plot: 4/5 - Storyline: Like book 1, the storyline is pretty straight forward. It had a strong focus on the romance between the two characters and how their bond slowly develops over time. It's a nice, relaxing read when you want romance without world-ending stakes.
- Characters: Where book 1 focused on a host of characters, this book really seemed to focus on just the two mains and the occasional side character. With that said, they were all well written and it was easy to slip into their mindset and to understand their motivations.
- Writing: No issues with formatting, spelling, etc. Everything flowed well and I absolutely adored how each of the characters had a unique voice in their POV chapters. I feel like you could flip to a random page and know immediately who's POV you were in, just from the subtle language differences.
Page Count: 294 Time to Read (Estimate): 4.5ish hours

This was an ARC read that finally pushed me to dive into book one, Bloody Temptations, and now I’m even more obsessed with this world and these characters.
I am officially swooning over Nikolo and Willan. From the moment they’re thrown back into each other’s lives, I was completely invested in their dynamic. Willan’s one-sided childhood crush growing into a second chance felt so satisfying, especially with how he’s always been quietly in Nikolo’s corner. I wanted to shake Nikolo in the beginning for his self-destructive streak, but I also couldn’t help but ache for him as he held onto those walls like they were all he had.
This story is soaked in that quiet, lifelong pining and soft “I found you again” energy that had me deep in my feelings. Watching them rebuild through a tentative friendship, with magic and caretaking woven into those moments, felt so genuine as it slowly shifted into something deeper and more steady. The way Willan keeps showing up, even when things get messy, made everything between them feel intentional and earned.
Every “I’ve got you” moment while they took care of each other, through sick days and sharing magic, hit me right in the chest. It’s such a gentle, protective kind of love, but still layered with tension and longing that keeps you completely hooked. I felt wrapped up in something warm and comforting while also getting those emotional gut punches.
I’m so excited to see where the rest of this series goes. You seriously need this spicy, healing journey in your life if you love a story that feels like a warm hug and leaves you a little wrecked in the best way. 🖤
Let me start by saying I adore Willain and Nikolo! ❤️ All the “I’ve got you’s” ❤️
If you read Bloody Temptations, book one in the Lead Me to Temptation series, than you already know Nikolo and Willain know each other and there’s history...but it feels like, especially for Nikolo, as from another life. I loved how our perception of both of them from book 1 changes almost instantly in this story.
From the outside, Willan seems so very serious and responsible. And although he is all that, it was such a delightful surprise to get to know his playful, witty side. And Nikolo, who came across as a bit vain and superficial in book 1, reveals so much more depth than I first anticipated! I loved how we get to chip away at his armour alongside Willain to discover a soft underbelly he tries so hard to hide. 🥹 Their romance is slow to develop, but it does so naturally, and you can really feel the connection and chemistry between them. There are plenty of tender moments full of vulnerability, but also so much patience and trust. It was a pleasure watching Nikolo open up and let Willan in, and I also felt such joy at Willan’s patience and gentle support of Nikolo...and all his “I’ve got you’s.” were chef’s kiss. 🥰
Ali's worldbuilding is as strong as ever, and the way magic, vampires, and everyday life are so seamlessly intertwined but not taking over the story is something that takes a lot of skill. The vampire lore (and everything around it) is written thoughtfully, in a way that it is believable while also giving us just the right amount of tension and emotion.
Magic Temptations is everything that I hoped it would be and more! It’s a sweet, fun, character-driven romance that is full of feel-good moments, and I hope we get more stories in this charming, supernatural world. It’s a 5/5 hearts read for me! ❤️
I received a copy of this book from the author, and this is my unbiased review.
What a fantastic story. Sweet and spicy with all the love and connection. I did not read book 1 first.
Willan is a mage who teaches classes and runs the shop. He seems very straight laced and serious until we get to see his fun and carefree side. The endless research and using his knowledge to help an old friend was so sweet.
Nikolo use to be part of the same clan as Willan but when things went bad and he was blamed for something he was forced to walk away. Now he is a vampire who collects magical trinkets that remind him of home. He never expected he would ever touch any magic again.
These two are absolutely precious together. Willan always thought he would end up with Nikolo and even now he feels the same pull. I absolutely adored them playing around with magic and the wonder you felt in each new experience. It was obvious early on that their weirdness fit together beautifully.
The transitions from former clan mates, to fiends, to teacher/student, to lovers, to everything was absolutely seamless and perfect. When Willan got sick was my favorite part of the story because it really solidified the bond they were already making.
That big I love you moment was unexpected in the best ways. However, their little moments of "I've got you" that worked both ways was the best declaration. These moments were each such defining moments. They built their bond stronger and proved they were always meant to be.
Willan and Nikolo stole my heart! Book 2 in the Lead Me to Temptation series is a slow burn, character-driven MM romance between a vivacious vampire bartender and the blast-from-his-past mage that brings his two worlds colliding. I love a childhood crush, second chance romance, and this did not disappoint!
Willan has loved Nikolo since they were children, but he never expected to run into the vampire again. Since leaving his clan and becoming a vampire, Nikolo has kept clear boundaries between his old life and his new life, but seeing Will again brings everything crashing together and has Nikolo lashing out. Their initial reunion was less than pleasant, but from there, a beautiful friendship (and then romance) begins to grow.
After meeting these characters in Bloody Temptations, I loved being able to see these other sides to them. Their story is so tooth-achingly sweet. I swear to god, I swoon every time Will says, “I got you.” The gentle love and compassion between these two is so heart warming, and we get to see so much character growth and maturity as their relationship develops.
As always, Ali’s world-building is a soft masterpiece. She puts so much detail and lore into this world without info-dumping or making it feel like a history textbook. And if you’ve read her Whisper Woods series, you’ll love the little references scattered throughout.
Magic Temptations by Ali Woods is an MM Paranormal romance that follows our MCs Willan and Nikolo’s journey of love. This is a very character-driven story, which I'm a big fan of, but may not be for everyone, so keep that in mind if you're thinking of picking this up. This story was super sweet and heartwarming in the best ways, even when things got a little bleak. If you're looking for a cute paranormal romance, then this is the book for you!
Willan and Nikolo were just the sweetest! I really enjoyed their back-and-forth dynamic, their silly moments, and their serious ones. Nikolo was a very fleshed-out and complex character, which I loved. Willan was still a great character; however, I could have done with just a bit more backstory for him to really get to know him.
Both the pacing and writing were pretty good. I did notice a few things that were a bit confusing in the writing, but they didn't take away from the reading experience much. Willan and Nikolo's relationship didn't feel rushed at all, which was great. The chapters were a bit long, but that's just a personal preference. Overall, this was a super cute and fun read that I would definitely recommend.
I wanna say thank you to the author for sending me the ARC. I really enjoyed it!
Love, love, deep love is what I feel for this book. For me, it's a 5-star book. If I loved the first one, this one absolutely blew me away!
I'd had my eye on Nikolo and Willan (in my head I always read William 😆) since the first book, and I was really eager to see how things would develop between them, and I have to say, it didn't disappoint. Nikolo starts out as a tough guy who doesn't care about anything except having fun and seems a bit insensitive to everyone except Kai. But as he lets Willan get closer to him, we see the walls he's built begin to crumble, and deep down, Nikolo was just a person who wanted to be loved.
Willan is great, he's patient, funny, but he also has a temper and knows how to put Nikolo in his place when he needs to, and they're both sooooo sexy and hot together!! 🌶️🌶️
I loved Laurence, Nikolo's creator 🥰 and oh Aleksi, Aleksi, what a slap you have!! 😡 And don't even get me started on Egbert and Kroy! Ahem, ahem… wink wink, nudge nudge 😆
Anyway, it's become one of my favorite books, and I'm snapping up everything this author writes to read.
Received an advance review copy for free but my opinions are mine.
First off, I want to say thank you for this arc. I’m new to this author and this book came into my sphere somehow and I’m such a sucker for MM romance of any kind.
There were some fun elements to this story like the banter and the fantastic outfits. I loved that this was a Vampire/ Mage story with a story of growth and not staying stuck to your past and the mistakes we make in our younger days. The slow burn made sense to the story as well as the build up of a friendship. It definitely had more of a cozy romance feel in my opinion.
I didn’t realize there was a Book 1 so there were times where the story felt like it had plot holes but I believe those would be filled in by book 1. I also had a hard time really connecting to the plot. It flowed well and the writing style was good but it just didn’t hold my interest. I think I was expecting a bit more drama, reaction, or something that just didn’t quite hit for me.
I think if someone is looking for a lighthearted fun paranormal MM romance though they would really enjoy this!
I really enjoyed Nikolo and Willan's story. We got some snippets in book 1, but now we got the whole story. It was interesting to learn about Nikolo and Willan's history and get to see how they got to where they are now. I loved the whole second chance element and how they got to a point where their love could grow. I loved the hair braiding and Nikolo's fashion a lot! I really enjoyed how feral Willan was for Nikolo and his dances with Kai. Despite Nikolo and Willan's rocky reunion they talked things out and I loved their tentative friendship at the start of the book. I loved seeing Nikolo get to experience some magic after turning and losing his abilities. I really loved Willan's quest for knowledge on Nikolo's behalf and also for seeing that Nikolo missed magic in a deep way. Like Nikolo, I also really enjoyed Willan's bossy side, and their playfulness was fun to witness.
This was an enjoyable read that was fun, pretty lighthearted and plenty sweet and swoony. Definitely excited to see what happens to some of the side characters.
Nikolo and Willan were some of my favorite characters from Bloody Temptations so I was super excited for their book. And it was so freaking cute!!!
Willan is such a sweetheart and has been in love with Nikolo since they were kids. He’s so gentle and caring & I just love the way he supports Nikolo without even being asked. Sweet baby Nikolo doesn’t want to accept it at first because he’s got boundaries that he thinks are helping him, and maybe they did at first. He ends up letting Willan in and it starts as a beautiful friendship that transitions into an equally beautiful relationship.
Willans, “I got you” is one of those that sticks with you like Han Solos “I know.” Additionally, the world building is amazing. Obviously, you get a lot of it in book 1 but as a visual learner, the way Ali describes things makes it so easy to visualize. I cannot wait to see where this series goes next!
Magic Temptations is an MM romance full of enough tropes that pretty much everyone can find something to enjoy. It's a sweet slow burn, a second chance romance, and a story full of various supernatural beings.
Willan (mage) and Nikolo (vampire) have moved from supporting characters in the first book in this series to our lovable MCs in this entry. I loved the progression of their relationship, from the cautious and bitter beginning as they're reintroduced into each other's lives to their sweet, devoted, and generally swoon-worthy coupling. As with the first book, the others in their found family/friend group are fun, supportive, and an absolute delight.
I settled on four stars for two main reasons. Though I really enjoyed the book overall, it did take me about 20-25% into the book to really get into this entry. Also, I wish that we had a bit more of an epilogue rather than an ending that felt very abrupt to me. Still, I look forward to seeing where this series goes next.
"Reformation isn’t always perfect, sometimes the jigsaw doesn’t always go back together perfectly. And isn’t that a metaphor for something?"
Willan and Nicolo were friends as kids growing up. Willan always had a "thing" for Nicolo but he was just Aleksi's little brother.
Fast forward to adulthood and they run into each other in their different world outside of their clan childhood...and, they literally fall in love. With all of its good and bad issues are they ready to build a future together!
What a wonderful book! I'm a sucker for a vampire trope anyway but the story of Nicolo and Willan is so...lovely I guess is the best description,it makes me want to find everything else Ali Woods has written! Highly Recommended 5/5
[Disclaimer: I received this book from Book Sirens however it didn't affect my reading or review]
This series is so fun! It’s different from other paranormal worlds but similar enough to provide the same vibes we all know and love. Willan and Nikolo were so cute together. I enjoyed seeing them reconnect and you could tell they had chemistry from the start.
Although Nikolo had a hard time dealing with some changes in his life and took a bit of a wrong turn in dealing with them it was nice to see him pull himself back from straying off his current path and finding a way to accept Willan being around and then seeing this connection develop into something more was fun. Caretaker Nikolo is adorable and mad Willan was amazing!
The side characters are great and it was nice seeing Finn and Kai. This was a great read and I’m excited to see what’s next in this world.
Will and Niko’s reintroduction is anything but smooth. Their past makes things messy at first, but once they start working through it? The sparks fly. Their dynamic is playful, teasing, and comfortable in a way that feels effortless. Watching them practice magic together was one of my favorite parts — the chemistry builds fast, and let’s be honest… Niko is an absolute stud. But it’s the softer moments that really hit. When Will says, “I’ll keep it hidden if you want. No one has to know. You’re safe now,” you feel exactly how much these two care about each other. And that ending? Absolutely beautiful. The kind that leaves you sitting there smiling like an idiot because some couples are just meant to be. Will and Niko aren’t temporary. They’re forever.
Wow, this was a book I couldn't put down at all! And at the same time I didn't want it to end, because I love all these characters and story so much. The side characters pulled the story together with the main characters, a lovely chosen family. Even though it was some angst, a certain brother had me stressed out a little at some point. I really love Nikolo and Willian, the way they dealt with things, how they grew as characters and how their relationship grew was a heartwarming read. The spice made it extra hot and sweet. The whole story, characters and spice is really well written. I got pulled into it in the first chapter, and I knew I would love this book. And I'm very happy we got both of their povs.
I got this book for free for an honest review as I'm an ARC reader.
Best friend’s little brother. . . Slight enemies to lovers. . . I loved you since we were young. . . I’ve got you. Love it!!!
I was so excited to read this book!
This happy ending was so good!!! They really compliment each other and the fact that they came from the same worlds and were able to find their happy ending was the best. I fell in love with side characters of course, and I loved how this timeline slightly coincided with the first book.
Lowkey was hoping for a magical vampire but we can only wish. The uncle and the shop owner though!?!? Ima need their book very soon. That story will be too good.
Ali Woods always writes amazing books and this is no different.
I'm going to keep this review short and sweet, while it took me a bit to get into Nikki and Willan's story, once I did I thought they were absolutely adorable together! I liked that they both wanted to fix things after having an unpleasant meeting after not seeing each other in years, they had an adult conversation and worked things out. And from there is where they built their relationship, with playful and sometimes informative texts, to practicing magic, and bonding over Willan's jerk of a brother, these two built a strong foundation for their relationship.
I enjoyed seeing the journey these to went on after being reunited and I thought the side characters were great! Overall a nice read!
I do love the world Ali creates... this is Book 2 but could be read as a standalone.
In this book we follow Willan and Nikolo
Willan is a Mage, a magical being and teacher and Nikolo is a Vampire who is part of the team at Bloody Temptations
They knew each other growing up, but went separate ways and this time round they finally find there bloody way to each other
Can't wait for more from this world and the possibilities with the characters seems never ending ❤️
Also if you want to start at the very beginning (not necessary, but worth it) check out Whisper Woods, the first book in The Legends of the Whisper Woods series and set in the same world of Bloody Temptations
Finally, a couple that actually knows how to communicate: no unnecessary drama, no love triangles, just the perfect amount of angst to keep things interesting.
Nikolo and Willan made me fall in love with the supernatural world all over again. The universe was also very well built: the author gives readers exactly the information we need for the story to make sense, without overwhelming us with endless creature names or a full encyclopedia of rules.
A huge thank you to BookSirens and Ali for giving me the opportunity to read this book in advance. I loved every second of it!
Loved this second book in the lead me into temptation series by Ali woods. It is sweet, heartfelt, funny, spicy and has depth. Especially when we get to know our mmc’s better. This story is about childhood friends, to estranged and finally lovers. The level of support the MMc’s give each other and the journey (“ I’ve got you.”) of self discovery and healing nicolo goes through will give you all the feels. I was afraid for a 3rd act breakup but was more than pleasantly surprised that this did not happen. I highly recommend this book. I received an ARC from booksirens in exchange for my honest review.
I loved this. The relationship felt right between Willan and Nikolo. It was sweet and understanding. I love the “I got you”. I absolutely love caretaking so this was right up my alley. For some reason I felt like this was missing something but I can’t put my finger on it. Which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I love Ali’s writing it flows so well. This can be read as a standalone. But I loved book one also so I definitely recommend. I’m excited to see where Ali takes this series.
