Doc I would do anything for the club. If they told me to jump, I’d ask how high, Because the club has always been my main priority. I knew I was going to be the President and that I had to set an example, Not just to the club, but to my dad, to the town, To prove to them I’m up for the job, While also finding time for my passion, Being a doctor. I didn’t have time for anything else or anyone else, At least I didn’t, until her. She’s forbidden fruit, I shouldn’t even entertain the feelings I’m feeling, But I can’t help to gravitate towards her. She becomes the reason why I breathe, my everything, Until the club needs me, And my loyalty is put to the test, and I have to choose, The woman I love or the club. I have to do something that will hurt her, Something that will tear her away from me, But I can’t say no to the club, my legacy. And I make the decision that I will forever regret, Not knowing if I’ll ever be able to win my girl back.
Brittany Growing up, I’ve always been curious about the local MC. My stepfather and stepbrother were a part of it, They wore the cuts and rode the bikes, And I wanted to learn more about the life they kept separate. But I was told to stay away, For my safety. And I listened, I carried on with my life, I made sure to make them proud, But then he walked in, The President. I knew I should have walked away, I knew he was going to be nothing but trouble, The stories growing up, I was told, echoing, But I ignored all the warnings, all the signs. I fell in love, and it was a mistake. I thought he was my forever, my always, But I was wrong. He had a choice to make, and it wasn’t me, And instead of protecting me, he protected the club, Leaving me defenceless. I opened my eyes, and when he gave me a solution that only he benefits from, I walked away without looking back. But what I didn’t realize was that I was in danger, That someone wanted me gone. And nothing I could do would have saved me from my fate, Including the President who took my heart and shredded it….
This can be read as a standalone. It is book 2 of 7 of The Rebels MC series, with a HEA. Due to mature content and themes, this book is recommended for readers aged 18+; this novel may contain triggers.
What can I say? I always feel like I start a CM review this way. 😆 Gotta say CM really took it easy on Doc in this book. And she had the h feeling bad and apologizing for not wanting to be kept a secret for a year. Of course she felt like a whore. Anyways, it was much of the same thing. As far as plot goes it was better than Stone with CM throwing in some amnesia for us. Medically speaking though I don't think amnesia quite works that way. When it comes to CM and the medical field and the injuries her characters sustain iykyk right? 😂 I'm much more interested in Trigger's book which comes out in January. Not sure how she'll redeem him as he cheats on wife for one year with her bully. There'll be one on page cheating scene so not safe. As I would pretty much classify all CM books because her heroes do love the club whores before being shocked by fate and the solar system when finding their "one." Which sometimes cracks me up.

I was so sad because this book started strong and then crashed and burned. The MFC is a dirty secret the MFM never claims her never returns affection and plans for her to be his mistress. Even after the big part where he loses her he admits that he would still marry the bad lady because his club comes first. Then naive MFC agrees and is like you were right to never claim me and put the club first. Wow I was so disappointed cause I love this author but this book is awful I absolutely hate doormat female characters.
I know how the storyline is going to unfold but I still love it! Will he... Won't he??? Every book in this series makes me crave for Trigger's book... his back story is just as intense as Doc's & Brit's
Well, I wanted to like this one. I really did but a few major things prevented that from happening.
First, the whole senator's daughter bullshit. If dirty is so good with coding, why didn't he apply those skills to find dirt as soon as the stupid marriage was being pushed? Why didn't Doc have him and his daughter followed out of the gate? WTF would having husband threaten his patch be a thing? He's the president now and that should have been a non-starter especially when everyone knew why the dad was pushing this so hard. Honestly, it sets a bad precedent that he can easily be manipulated and brought into line.
Second, Tinkerbell's mom? Get f***ed. Her excuses were bullshit and even in her "apology" she bulldozed Belle into listening when she wasn't ready and again showing up at the club and she spits out demands like she has a right. No. And they let her get away with it which boggles the mind. Then she almost ruins the day Asher planned to marry Belle by telling her the story of her bio dad when she knew what Asher had planned. Kathleen was/is a narcissist and terrible person/mother. But she apologised, kind of, and she had her reasons so it's all good. GTFO. 😡
h sees H with OW = h finds out about the H being engaged by hearing about it from others and seeing a picture of the H posed with the OW
Grovel = H always out the MC and his career before the h to the point that he was engaged to OW for the good of the MC. H really doesn't need to do much grovel as the h gets amnesia and H gets to be the white knight for her.
Cheating = perceived cheating of H with OW, but in reality H never was with the OW in any way shape or form.
Amnesia = h gets hit in the head, coma for a few months, then wakes up with no idea who she is but has to figure out life pretty quickly as she is pregnant
OW drama = OW did everything she could to manipulate the H into being with her, almost worked but H got out of it. OW was who attacked the h and went after the h and her child with a knife. Comeuppance? OW ended permanently with quick snap of neck by H. In reality, OW was not a huge part of the book but played a part of major plot points

when he would do anything for the club because they are his family and he was ready to give away his freedom until he ran into forbidden fruit and she was his one. she's been told her entire life to stay away from the club and the brothers although her step father and brother are apart of the club nut when he's standing in her living room holding the kitten she saved she wants to live for herself for once. a year after being together and him choosing the club over her all the time the final lime is crossed and she's done. when she is attacked and loses who she is and the clubs works to find her. her brother does something stupid trying to help her get her memory back it works but with consequences.
This book was not what I was expecting when I got to the end of the previous book in the series. It was so good though! Charlotte knows how to draw you in and get you to feel all the feels! Doc and Tinkerbell had a rough but beautiful road to get their HEA. The only downside to this book is that you have to dig through KU to find it. It doesn't come up under searches for the author, I found it by searching the previous book in the series and seeing that there are now 2 books in the series. I really love reading books by Charlotte so it was worth it but just be aware that when you get hooked on books by her they won't be easy to find even if you follow her Amazon does not notify you of her new releases.
Another good one on this author’s belt! The beginning resembled to Stone’s story but that major plot twist changed it all for me. I loved how the story merge with another MC. It was nice to read about them! However I don’t remember a “Sky” being Flame’s old lady but a “Star!” It took me a while to find out which one it was. The editing errors are now part of the storyline and are expected too! I loved the banter, the family and the spice. This was a good one, I wasn’t expecting it to be so good as the MMC was making the same mistake as his VP and same with his rocky relationship with his dad. The similarities stopped there. Now I can’t wait to read about Trigger even though I already dislike him!!
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️½ Couple: Doc & Brittany ❋❋❋❋❋❋ Okay, so this one had me a little all over the place. I liked the book or as I like to call them the next soap opera episode. It was probably one of her better written books and the storyline was interesting and kept my attention. I just really did not like Doc, which I was surprised by cause he was good in Stones book. Then there was sweet Brittany who was just in love with him and hurting the whole time. I actually wasn't really happy with her after the fact. So really just kinda stuck in the middle with this one.
I doo ok my know how she does it. How does a Charlotte bring her MMC’s from raging 💩 head to simpering fool. I always go in thinking this will be the MMC to fail to grovel…and they always get redemption. I love it. Brit and Doc have a secret relationship which ends very badly…no spoilers here as it’s important to go in blind. Love this one.
I cannot get enough of Charlotte’s books! I look every week to see if a new one is on Amazon. Doc does not disappoint! I loved him and his Tinkerbell. I love also the ending and how we get a glimpse how their happily ever after turns out. There is no cheating between the main characters in this book in case anyone was wondering. Loved loved loved this book! Cannot wait for Trigger
I liked the book overall. It's like her other books, though maybe less groveling than some of the others, but I did like how the FMC could put herself in MMC's shoes, making groveling less necessary according to the storyline. I like all of Charlotte McGinlay's books though, and cannot wait until the next one is out.
I just love this new series, boy do they have a bumpy ride. Doc does he choose right or wrong, Tinkerbell gets hurt on the way . Do these two people end up together? Gotta read the book . So much man drama wow . Action, smexy times, characters from the other books , pranks , so much more I would end up spoiling it so read this awesome story.
Love this book and it's series and would recommend it to anyone who loves to read about MC life and their families and friends 🧡 and Charlotte McGinlay is an amazing writer ❤️
Really loved this book really love this author. If you like to read MC romance with a strong male and female characters this for you! I've read many of her series books and I love them.
Here’s to another great read. I loved this book just like Stone’s, can’t wait for the next one, all though I feel like tissues are gonna be needed. I love how the other MC’s are intwined. Looking forward to the rest of the series. 🩷
Doc and Brittany love story full of twist and turns. Charlotte books keep improving as they go on and it's nice to have little updates on previous series
