Eliza Darlington doesn’t believe in Christmas magic—just caffeine, customer chaos, and getting through the season one peppermint mocha at a time.
Nate Winters has just moved to Honeybrook Hollow with his four-year-old daughter and a dog named Lois. He’s taking over his grandparents’ retro diner, brimming with holiday spirit and optimism. The last thing he expects is to catch feelings for the grumpy, sharp-tongued barista at the Coffee Cabin.
But when a marshmallow-loving preschooler, a mischievous chocolate lab, and a surprise cocoa delivery collide... sparks fly.
And this Christmas?
They might just get the meet cute they never saw coming.
Nora Everly is a lifelong bookworm. She started reading the good stuff once she was tall enough to sneak the romance novels off the top of her mother’s bookshelf and it has been non-stop ever since. Once upon a time she was a substitute teacher and an educational assistant. Now, she’s a writer and stay at home mom to two small humans and one fat cat. Nora lives in the Pacific Northwest with her family and her overactive imagination.
I love this sweet novella of Eliza and Nate! I cannot wait for more so this was the perfect teaser for their upcoming romance! I also am craving hot cocoa now, so thanks for that Nora!
This was pretty cute, if kinda average. If it hadn’t been for the note that their story was going to continue in another book, this would have been 3 stars.
Cute scenery. And I love a good reverse grumpy/sunshine trope. Didn't realize this was a prequel novella, and it does end on a cliffhanger that sets the stage for the next book.
