Jennifer Blake is happy. She's settling in nicely to her new home town. Things are finally returning to normal after the Blood Eagle killings a year ago. She even has a nice, normal job lined up. But Jen isn't a normal person. When visions of a horrendous fire begin to assault her and the bodies of teenage girls begin to appear, she will be put to her biggest test. It will take all of her talents and the help of friends old and new to stop a killer and prevent a tragedy.
I was absolutely sucked into Jennifer Blake's world again. I couldn't have asked for a better follow-up. Chambers is hands down a talented wordsmith. I think my favorite thing about his writing is being surprised. So many recycled ideas in the world that having a fresh twist that I'm not able to predict in the first two chapters is a breath of fresh air. I also love how we can have romance without it being over-done and cheesy. I can't wait to see what shit pile Jennifer Blake finds her self in next time!!!
