A game of cat and mouse, this one packed a punch for a shorter book. I loved the suspense, mystery, the slow release of torture, I was biting my nails throughout.
What have I gotten myself into?? I'm sure Aubrey felt the same way. Who's playing who. She's caught up in a game with two brothers battling to control her, use her, manipulate her in ways she can't fathom. Devlin and Colt. Who's the lesser of two evils? I'm definitely shaking my pom poms for Colt, but what's hiding beneath their rivalry, what's the catalyst for their feud? This is the first book of five, so it's a slow release I'm sure, but I'm ecstatic to read on. Strip clubs, prostitution, drugs, dark characters, and lifting cars. <-- Yes, please.

If you like dark romance and suspense, I'd definitely recommend! There was a scene that reminded of "60 Seconds." If you like added adrenaline to your steam, snatch this up.

Well, I really enjoyed this. I'm not surprised, I have loved what I read before by Skye Callahan, but it surprised me how quickly I read it.
It was such a quick, easy, gripping read.
Short Review:
A quick read, that borderlines on dark and twisty. It's intense and incredibly sexy. Lot's of potential for some darker scenes, but it managed to stay on the edge.
Loved this view of a specialist club, for those wanting certain services.
Still had a lot of questions, once it finished, but it's left in a place ready to be picked up by the next installment, so I'm hoping all the answers will start to unravel in the next one.
Great, sexy read with gorgeous dominant men.
Longer Review:
Ignition kicks straight off in the action, with Aubrey (Sway) getting ready for her first night dancing, at a exclusive club, owned by Devlin. A man who is powerful, and in control of everything and everyone.
We learn Aubrey is in debt to Devlin, and is working at the club to pay him back.
It's in her first night, she meets a mysterious and just as dangerous, Colt. He plies her with cash, and comes to her rescue when Devlin decides to cash in a little more.
But are his motives just as bad as Devlins?
Colt takes Aubrey back to his place to save her from Devlin and sort herself out. Yet he also decides to proposition her, with something she can't refuse, but she has to give up something just as big.
This book is a serial novella, so it's fast paced, potent, and packs a punch.
Lots of secrets to unravel and be revealed. Lots of questions not yet answered. But this is just the start of this series, and I think it's just getting good.
Aubrey and Colt are both characters that have plenty of secrets, and I want to get to know more about. Even Devlin, seems to be quite intriguing.
The writing style was as flawless and captivating as it was in Irrevocable.
I loved how this book kept hinting at darker things to come, and how the possibility for more, was always there taunting the reader.
Of course the hotness levels of Ignition were through the roof. It's obviously going to be an extremely sexy series, but done in a unique and addictive way.
Very excited to read more on this series.
Recommended to anyone who loves quick, hot reads, but also likes things a little darker and more brutal.

This was a short quick read that I liked. Aubrey unintentionally gets in the middle of 2 brothers and choose who she feels is the lesser of the two evils, Colt (a successful car thief who wants Aubrey to star in his dark fantasies) and Devlin (a strip club owner who likes to drug and pimp out his employees). When she meets Devlin in this club he takes her home and makes her an offer she can't refuse. Devlin and Colt don’t get along they are both depraved and like to fight every once in a while. So Colt who gets bored easily decides he wants a plaything and he wants Aubrey so now he plans to stop whatever plans Devlin has for her. This was the first book in a new series for me this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Love love love all the books that I've read by this author but I've gotta say this is my favourite so far.
The synopsis of the story gives you enough of a tease so I'll say no more about the storyline. I will say I was totally gripped and read this in one sitting. I seriously couldn't read it fast enough. This is an edge of the seat kinda read. I seriously couldn't guess what way the story was gonna go.
This is a brilliant start to this dark and gritty series. Holy moly what a cliffhanger. Looking forward to reading more..... Soon I hope:)

A great, sexy and very erotic first book in a series. It contains a little of everything. The lead female Aubrey is caught between two brothers. Both dark and criminal in their own ways and want to use her as a pawn. Very well written and ends with a cliffhanger.

I have to give full marks to Ms Callahan for writing a book that had an undertone of sexual tension coupled with a definite tone of suspense.
So I'm not sure what Colt's game is apart from getting one over his brother Devlin plus giving himself a little plaything for 6 months.
Aubrey has agreed to be on team Colt because that seems the lesser of two evils when you look at Colt and Devlin. At least Colt hasn't drugged her....yet. Who knows what his plan is for her, she certainly has no idea but has decided that 6 months of hell with Colt is better than a lifetime of hell with Devlin.
Who knows if she has made the right choice because neither of the brothers are coming out as particularly good guys at the moment!
I can't wait to see where the author takes this story in the next book. I really enjoyed this book and wished it was longer but I guess a short book ending on a cliffy will make the next book that much more worth waiting for.

Ignition by Skye Callahan is dark, thrilling and will completely blow you away at the end. You are left with all kinds of insane emotions and then just like that you’re in shock and begging the author for more.
I was instantly hooked and found myself so curious as to why Aubrey was in the predicament she was in. I needed to know how she got here and how she would get out of it. There are so many twists and turns that by the very end you find yourself with one of the most major book hangovers EVER.
I felt so horrible for Aubrey’s character. She just couldn’t seem to catch a break. But no matter what she fought against all of her odds. That is until she meets COLE! Cole is just WOW! I was speechless. I mean Skye keeps giving me these men that I can’t get enough of and that leave an imprint in this little reader’s heart. His character is so intense and will leave you wishing you had the next book already.
By the end you will just have no words for what you are feeling. I highly recommend this for a reader that loves a book that keeps you on edge and gives you an ending you just don’t expect to happen. Such a great book.

WOW! This is a dark, erotic ride into the underworld of drugs, sex, exploitation and crime. I love it! Aubrey is a small town girl who moved to a big city because who wanted to start over. After an unfortunate crisis she sought help from Devlin, an alluring businessman, who had a sinister plan on how she would repay her debt. On Aubrey's first night of repayment she is summonsed by Colt to serve him privately and offered another repayment option. Colt has his own ulterior motives for offering Aubrey. Aubrey is caught between two means to an end, both are dangerous, she needs to decide which one she will be able to survive. The ending is a cliffhanger! There are a total of five stories expected for 'The Redline Series' and if the first book is any indication we are headed for a wild ride!

Holy Hell Batman! Where's the extinguisher to put the fire out on my kindle!
Bloody hell fire this was a crackingly fab dark read!
Devlin and Colt - Oh my God, hard to know which one is worse!
Aubrey. This woman seems to be hell bent on being put through the wringer! Very much a case out of the frying pan and into the fire but hell she's completely caught up in Colt's game and indeed she's piggy in the middle between them both. The tension permeates through each scene and builds as it impregnates your brain with many heart thudding moments. I freakin love books that have this kind of edge. The taboo factor of manipulation of another human being. Even with the forced consent you know it all starts very much unconcensual because what other choice did Aubrey have? She chose the lesser of the two evils....... or did she? What's Colt up too? What's his endgame and how damaged are they all going to be at the end of this. Cannot freakin' wait till book 2, I really can't!

This was the first book I ever read by Skye Callahan.
I was impressed.
It starts with Aubrey who came into some trouble.
Not knowing what to do in a strange city not knowing anyone she decided to take a risk.
It was the wrong thing to do.
Now she much pay off what she owes only to keep getting further and further in debt.
Having a choice to either stay in the position she is in or escape only to fall in to another crappy situation she much decide, and quickly.
Colt is waiting in the wings to help her get out from his brothers grasp, but at what cost?
he doesn't have the qualities that scream he is a nice gentle man.
His way of earning a living is definitely not legal.
But when you are faced with either 2 years of not knowing what will happen with your life or body at the hands of an evil man or 6 months of a different kind of cruelty that you know could ultimately destroy you what would you do?
Is it worth it?
The cliffhanger is brutal but i am certain it will be well worth the wait.

This is a great quick read! With hot scenes from the beginning and a story line like no other.. this book is bound to get you heated up and begging for more. Though, not for the faint of heart but rather for us readers who enjoy a little pain with our pleasure. I was able to read this in one great sit and Skye Callahan had me entertained from page one. It was like a rollercoaster: quick, sharp turns, lots of flips and it ended too soon! So sit down, power up and be prepared to have some naughty fun!!

Holy cow!! This book was awesome I flew through it. Skye is amazing at what she does and this book just proves it even more. Aubrey is an awesome character. Colt I honestly have no idea what to say about him he's extremely different than most male characters I've read but I really like him even though he's dark. This book has me patiently waiting on the second for sure. All in all another great read by Skye and I can't wait for Torque.

5 stars***** I almost gave this book 4 stars because I really disliked Devlin but that isn't fair is it? This is the start of a series, 2 brothers struggle to show dominance with a country girl thrown in. Story isn't completely untold but it has it's unique plot. I'm enjoying the series now and will read them all. I recently realized this author has a similar name as another author which caused some confusion on my part. I like the other author too but I was confused why I had so many unread books by same author on my TBR list. Now I know why!

Bad Boy Power Play Extraordinaire!

Ignition is one scorching hot read with a woman caught in the power play between two brothers. The deliciously evil twist from the pen of Skye Callahan is that neither have her interests at heart as they are hell bent on besting each other.
In Ignition, Aubrey escapes her modest upbringing to try and better herself in the big city. It’s not long however, before she is taken in by the charm of Devlin and finds herself indebted to him big time, stripping in his club. As if this wasn’t bad enough she comes to realise that she risks losing a lot more than her modesty.
With nowhere else to turn to, Colt, Devlin’s brother, appears and offers Aubrey a way out. Yet Colt is no prince on a white charger out to rescue damsels in distress. His motivation is more about upstaging his brother Devlin, plus he is not averse to using Aubrey for his own ends. Aubrey is in no position to resist and she is caught between a rock and a very hard place. Should she back Colt on being the lesser of the two evils or is it better to stay with the Devil she is coming to know Devlin? Both are out and out powerful alphas and she could well find herself becoming collateral damage on account of their brotherly feuding.
Colt is one hot, hugely flawed bad boy, who is also damned sexy! He is addicted to the adrenalin rush of stealing luxury cars even more so than the financial reward he earns for his endeavours. His habits are BAD and his needs are DARK and it was not far into the read before I was panting alongside Aubrey the heroine. There are some very hot and naughty scenes and be warned, Colt is one dominant male! I can’t wait to find out where this storyline will go next!

Ignition is one scorching hot read with a woman caught in the power play between two brothers. The deliciously evil twist from the pen of Skye Callahan is that neither have her interests at heart as they are hell bent on besting each other.
In Ignition, Aubrey escapes her modest upbringing to try and better herself in the big city. It’s not long however, before she is taken in by the charm of Devlin and finds herself indebted to him big time, stripping in his club. As if this wasn’t bad enough she comes to realise that she risks losing a lot more than her modesty.
With nowhere else to turn to, Colt, Devlin’s brother, appears and offers Aubrey a way out. Yet Colt is no prince on a white charger out to rescue damsels in distress. Colt is one hot, hugely flawed bad boy, who is also damned sexy! He is addicted to the adrenalin rush of stealing luxury cars even more so than the financial reward he earns for his endeavours. His habits are BAD and his needs are DARK and it was not far into the read before I was panting alongside Aubrey the heroine. There are some very hot and naughty scenes and be warned, Colt is one dominant male! I can’t wait to find out where this storyline will go next!

WOW! This is a dark, erotic ride into the underworld of drugs, sex, exploitation and crime. I love it! Aubrey is a small town girl who moved to a big city because who wanted to start over. After an unfortunate crisis she sought help from Devlin, an alluring businessman, who had a sinister plan on how she would repay her debt. On Aubrey's first night of repayment she is summonsed by Colt to serve him privately and offered another repayment option. Colt has his own ulterior motives for offering Aubrey. Aubrey is caught between two means to an end, both are dangerous, she needs to decide which one she will be able to survive. The ending is a cliffhanger! There are a total of five stories expected for 'The Redline Series' and if the first book is any indication we are headed for a wild ride!

Ignition is an addicting, dark, scorching hot, fast paced read. It helps that I want to read the next book in the series because I need to read the next book, almost as much as I need my next breath. Aubrey unintentionally gets in the middle of 2 brothers and choose who she feels is the lesser of the two evils, Colt (a successful car thief who wants Aubrey to star in his dark fantasies) and Devlin (a strip club owner who likes to drug and pimp out his employees). After reading the blurb provided I was looking forward to reading this book and was definitely not disappointed.

The brothers are at war over who is going to own Aubrey's debt.
This is great read of twists, suspense and the odd surprise with the odd car steal and the situation of drugs. I can't wait to see where the rest of the series goes.

The vague prologue about Colt had me so ready to learn more about him and his dark side.
I was hooked right from the first chapter. I loved the connection between Colt and Aubrey, and even the different relationships they both had with Devlin in their own way. There are so many things I want to know, so many questions running through my head, about both Colt and Aubrey and after the way this one ended, I’m dying for more!
It was such a good, little dark read and the start of a story/series that I know I’m going to be caught up in.

The book stops at 87%. And it took me almost 4 days to read 110 pages. It dragged. The same details brought up again and again. A rehash of how Aubrey ended up in the position she was more than once. None of the characters have any redeeming qualities. The story...I'm still trying to figure out what the actual story is.

I can’t believe it took me so long to come across this series of books. Ignition had just the right amount of development and suspense to get me hooked. I’ll definitely be digging into the rest of the series to find out what happens next for Colt and Aubrey.

Okay so I'm not usually into the more hardcore / bdsm genre - but I really really enjoyed this. It was still a little hardcore, but Skye Callahan manages to somehow keep those moments full of interesting emotion. I also like books where the romance doesn't come so easily with both characters head over heels in love after five seconds *eyeroll*. Overall, I read the entire series - never disappointed with the Skye's direction and writing skills. I'll definitely read more from her.

I loved this book couldn't put it down. Aubrey was a girl down in her luck when she met Devlin who helped out with anything that she needed apartment,food, and money. Devlin now wants Aubrey to pay him back by working at his strip club. Colt a car thief and who is also Devlin's brother helps Aubrey by taking her away from Devlin. Colt offers Aubrey to pay her debt that she owes Devlin if she spends six month with him doing anything that he wants with her and after her time with him is done she can walk away. When Colt offers Devlin to pay Aubrey's debt he agrees but only with one condition.
