Where the Forest Remembers Us

Rate this book
Where the Forest Remembers Us was previously going to be book 22 of the Kaitlyn and the Highlander series.

But now it’s beginning an all new branch of the story, Branches of A Magnus and Kaitlyn Saga

It’s still in the same Kaitlyn and the Highlander world. And can be read at the end of all the others, of course.

But for new readers, this series, Branches of A Magnus and Kaitlyn Saga can also be read as a new series whenever and wherever you like.

I’ve put a handy character sheet and where we left off at the beginning of the first book.

The battles are over.

The kingdom is safe.

Now there is only the quiet between seed and sky, a full house, a large family, the weight of a sleeping baby, a beautiful beach, a growing forest, and the promise that love outlives every crown.

But Magnus has one thing he needs to do, return to Balloch castle to help his brother and sister pack to come live in his kingdom. It’s a time of hope and many plans. But he also needs to say goodbye to Balloch castle, his former home. The trees he planted, the lives he touched. He will be leaving behind the walls he has always guarded, the landscape he loves, the castle he knows, carrying only the memories with him.

It’s a moment of deep reflection as Magnus and Kaitlyn work to leave the past where it belongs. ______________________

Where the Forest Remembers Us is perfect for fans of Outlander who wish the Hero could come forward in time to modern day.

In this series Magnus and Kaitlyn, and their growing family, can time travel together. They jump back and forth through the centuries keeping their family safe, trying to keep the historical timeline straight. It’s a time travel romance wrapped in Scottish history, a Florida beach house, a kingdom in the future, a bit of humor, suspense and adventure, and all wrapped up in dark romantic historical fantasy.

After 20-some-odd books in this universe, you'd think we'd be tired of these people.

No. We are not tired of these people.

We love these people. We want more of these people.

I honestly feel so good when reading whatever the current KATH book is - and this one was especially heart warming. It was a simple book (the entire story happens over 3 days, or 300 years, depending on how you look at it) without much to process, except that Magnus is trying to be romantic. I personally think he succeeds, but that's a matter of opinion.

Read the book. Read all the books. Love these people as much as we all do.

Twists, Turns and Rollercoaster rides!

This is a fun and nerve wracking ride. Without giving anything away, I'll say that this book starts off nice and easy and just when you think everything is going to be complacent, BAM, Diana Knightley turns up the heat and the Rollercoaster ride begins with all the twists and turns we have come to expect from her writing! If you have been reading this series for awhile, you'll be happy to know the gang is there with all their witty repartee and all the frustrating curveballs that we have come to love and hate! Every book leaves you wanting more and this one is no exception! Enjoy!

I can't put into words how much I loved this book! Kaitlyn and Magnus are my two favorite people ever! Their's is a romance for the centuries! (They are time travelers) The title of this book was excellent! Diana Knightley amazes me every single book!!! If you like historical romance read this series. It's an entirely different level of great! I laughed so many times reading this book! Thinking of all the things that can happen next!

Book 1 great story

This was well.worth the wait could not put it down once the story began page after page was very good . Going back in time to say goodbye and help them pack was really eye opening, then Lady Mairead coming with her new husband was interesting as well, I loved the surprise but the rain sort of messed it up for Kaitlyn !! The best part was the Earls death even though someone might not back it ! I was a little disappointed about the move but hopefully things will work out !!
Can't wait for the next book. I recommend this book with a 5 Stars review

Loved it!

This is the first book in a new trilogy but also a continuation of the Kaitlyn and the Highlander series. It was advertised as the story of when Magnus and Kaitlyn were at peace. Even at peace the gang attracts trouble like a magnet. Like all of Diana Knightley’s books this one has all the feels: love, family, humor (love the banter between characters), and of course some heart racing action. Loved it tremendously! Highly recommend!

Another Fantastic Story!

I love that it started in a time of peace. We got lots of laughs out of that part of the book. But then as per usual, trouble follows and gets so intense that I have to put the book down, but I can’t put the book down, but then I do put the book down, but then I have to pick the book right back up again immediately. I was hoping this book would last at least two or three days, but I should’ve known better. Once I pick it up, I can’t put it down
