SIT: A Paws & Probable Cause Mystery

Rate this book
One year ago, she came to Tidal Cove with nothing. Now someone wants to take everything.

Wren Calloway has finally built the life she always wanted. A thriving practice. Friends who feel like family. Jonah, the man who makes her believe in second chances. This should be a celebration.

Then the note STOP DIGGING OR YOU'RE NEXT.

The Beacon Society has operated in the shadows for a century. The founding families. The real power behind Tidal Cove. They've controlled elections, buried scandals, and eliminated threats.

Wren just became a threat.

When their patriarch is murdered and his granddaughter comes to Wren for help, she uncovers a conspiracy that reaches into every corner of the town she loves. And the Society has hired a professional to make their problems disappear.

Anonymous warnings. Shadows outside her window. A message carved into her door.

She could run. She could stay silent. But Wren Calloway has never backed down from a fight. Even one she might not survive.

The most suspenseful Paws & Probable Cause mystery yet. A secret society, a killer for hire, and a woman who refuses to be silenced. Book 5. How far would you go to protect your home?

I have read the first five in the series. This fifth book has a good plot but plot lines changed from the first four and timing wasn’t consistent. It made it frustrating to read but still enjoyed it.

More...mystery, intrigue

Characters that are like neighbors, pulling you into their lives, living their emotions, sharing the moments. The dogs an integral part of it all. Love the scene setting...the
caring, the small town comraderie is real. More please...

Another Great Mystery Solved

I love the unique perspective of these novels. I have never thought of things from it. I love the characters, both people and dogs. Looking forward to the next adventure.

Another amazing case solved

I look at my dog and wonder sometimes what she is thinking. And I think about this novel and how the dogs always seemed to know so much.
