About the author

Sarah is the author of the Elemental Origins series and the creator of the world of Elementia. She has also published a short story, “Verdant Dreams” and posts fun stories on her Patreon from time to time. 
Growing up, Sarah always had an active imagination telling stories through words and art. Often found daydreaming of new worlds, magic and adventure, her loving husband helps keep her grounded and in this realm (otherwise she might fly away or slip through a portal somewhere). She has one sweet, adorable dog( a mastiff), loves to paint and watch movies when she’s not writing.

I loved this novella. The story was strong, and it was a pleasure to read. The cover is simple but eye-catching. I liked it and thought it was a great design job. The writing is great and flows well. The third person, dual POV from Jade and Dante, worked extremely well. The settings were good, and I loved the world-building. The characters were wonderful. I enjoyed how Jade and Dante interacted with each other. My favourite character was Ben the Capuchin. He was so cute and so smart. I recommend this novella and look forward to the rest of the series.

Cupid’s Arrow was a quick and cute Valentines read, with just a touch of spice.

Jade, a Cupid, and Dante, a demon are immortals living in a mortal world. Both have insecurities that make them question whether they will ever find love, so imagine their surprise when they find they are mates.

Jade, who is fact jaded, hates Valentines and doesn’t consider she could actually be mates to a demon. That doesn’t happen, right? While sweet Dante is smitten from the start and just wants his happily ever after.

While I enjoyed the story, I did find the pacing a bit tedious at times. The repeated self doubting, from both characters, took away from the story for me and would’ve been conveyed just as well without an appearance in almost every chapter.

Looking forward to reading other’s in this series, and am thankful for the opportunity to read a few early - I love the premise of six authors teaming up to write each of the novellas.

Dante is a demon who is living a life of speed and loves photography. Jade is a cupid who is living her life trying to avoid all things love. Well Valentine's day means Jade must fulfill her yearly commitments and Ben her little flying monkey companion is nothing short of adorable with a flare for the dramatics. These two main characters have no idea who each other is, but when it is discovered questions arise and answers are determined to be found.

This adorable novella is a perfect Valentine's Day read that has spice and comedy that brings so much to the characters. ✨️📚✨️

First thing’s first I have to say this is the PERFECT Valentine’s Novela, and without giving too too much away it gives all the feels and keeps you yearning for more! From the very first chapter, I was pulled into a world full of chemistry, tension, and that swoony “just one more chapter” energy!! I truly loved all the banter, the slow-burn vibes and how the story balanced heart, humor, and heat without feeling rushed. Not to mention just pure MAGICAL ❤️💘😈 in all the best ways possible! I can’t wait for more!!

A sweet read and a great pick for Valentine’s Day. The main characters are lovable, and the story thoughtfully captures their emotional growth and relationship dynamics. The supporting characters added so much fun and energy to the story, especially Ben, who feels more like the MVP than being the sidekick 😂.

I was not prepared for how awesome this book was going to be! Cupid’s Arrow is the sweetest, cutest novella I have read in a long time! The story is set in a town named Cupidville. Our FMC Jade is a Cupid, a magical race whose primary role in life is to help people fall in love. The problem is, she doesn’t really jive with romantic love, ever since she was burned by the one she thought was “the one.” Jade especially hates Valentine’s Day, which is just around the corner, along with the Starlit Festival, an annual festival in Cupidville celebrating love. She feels like the odd one out, being the only cupid she knows who is down on love, but when she meets Dante, she feels a small stirring in her heart. So does Dante. Neither of them knows who the other really is at first, so they each wonder how they can feel so strongly toward each other and whether they are really meant to be.

The cast of characters in the book was wonderful. When Dante is introduced, we can immediately see that he yearns for love. He is more soft-hearted than other demons, but that ends up being perfect for Jade. He spends his time working as a photographer, though as a demon, he doesn’t really need a job. Ben the monkey is a joyous addition to the novella. He is so cute and funny. I especially enjoyed the internal monologues between Ben and Jade. And don’t even get me started about the end scene with Ben, Jade, and Dante! I laughed so hard. Lola was a fun addition, too. I really hope Lola and Leo (Dante’s brother) get a story; they deserve one! I could see the flame with their insta-love, whew!

Overall, I wanted to crawl inside this novella and live. I loved my time there, and I wish I could read it again for the first time. If you enjoy forbidden love, fated mates, hidden identities, Valentine’s vibes, small-town charm, and animal companions, this is the book for you. Thank you to @sarah.adina.author for the early copy. This Valentine’s novella had all the feels, adorable monkey sidekick, forbidden love, and fated mates…. Yes please. Jade and Dante’s emotional tug-of-war had me cheering for them hard, especially when he was determined for them to be together and she was so resistant. Love the melding of traditions.

A beautiful romantic romp and perfect Valentine’s Day treat for any romantasy lover!

“Cupid’s Arrow” is a beautiful romantic romp filled with passion, heartfelt moments, twists and turns. The characters were so endearing that I fell in love with them all. This urban romantasy was populated by unique fantasy races that took me on an emotional journey I did not expect. Loved it!

The best way I can describe this book is it was like a perfect Valentine’s Day Cocktail!!
… Mixing an intoxicating blend of moments of fun, tension, comedy, emotional turmoil, magic, passion, spice and of course love and romance, and decorating it with heartwarming friendships, unique lore and world building and the final most important ingredient for a special Valentine’s Day romp … a FMC and MMC you will fall head over heels in love with and route for on every page! Delicious!

My only complaint is I devoured it so fast it’s finished before Valentine’s Day! 😅 … oh well I’ll have to treat myself this valentines and read it again!!

Cupid’s Arrow is a cute, spicy novella that feels perfectly suited to the Valentine season.

I really enjoyed the blend of supernatural romance with very human qualities. The world felt relatable and grounded, with characters who were not flawless or all-knowing, which made the story easy to connect with. I especially loved that Jade holds her own sense of self, even while feeling drawn to Dante, and does not lose herself in the romance.

The cast of characters was fun and engaging, and the supernatural elements added a fresh twist without overpowering the emotional core of the story. Jade’s home and the glimpses we get of the wider world were unique and memorable, and I found myself wanting more time in this setting.

Overall, this was an enjoyable, romantic read with great vibes for Valentine’s Day.

Jade is a Cupid who has had her heart shattered by the one she thought was supposed to be her forever, so now she avoids romantic love like the plague. What kind of Cupid HATES romance? This one does. That is until her bestie, Lola, talks her into going out with the handsome man she ran into at the coffee shop. Dante is a demon who is way more soft hearted than the rest of his kind, which makes him PERFECT for Jade. With a meddling Cupid monkey and meddling Gods 👀 you’ll have to read this amazing novella to know how their story unfolds.

Ahhh I loved this one! This was such a sweet fated mates story. Ben was a fun character, I was dying of laughter at the end when he talked to Dante 🤣
Lola and Leo’s story is gonna be sooooo good 🥵

Oh my Goddess! I was not prepared for how stinking cute Dante and Jade were gonna be! This cute holiday novella was a super sweet read that I wish I could read again for the first time. It was a perfect holiday urban romantasy!

I loved how Ben the cutest and most lovable magical pet sidekick is the cause of chaos and is food obsessed!

Here is one of my favorite moments:

A quick little novella that captured me. My favorite would have to be Bananas aka Ben he was just so cute and adorable and just had me laughing and smiling so much. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Dante and Jade it just kind of gave a little bit of playful banter but loved the challenge accepted attitude from Dante. The POVs are a fave since it gives you a deep glance into what Jade and Dante are thinking during their interactions but also when they’re not interacting. A forbidden love between a Cupid Angel and Demon that had them questioning and making the right decision for themselves. Definitely recommend this and especially for readers who are looking for more novellas to read during Valentine day season.

This is such a cute, spicy, and quick Valentine’s Day novella and just in time for the holiday! I really enjoyed the urban romantasy blend with the paranormal set in an alternate Earth. It made it feel more realistic. Jade was fun and relatable with not wanting to pursue a relationship from being burned in the past. Dante was suave even made me swoon as a reader. The animal companion (no spoilers) was my absolute favorite and added so much to the story. This has forbidden love, hidden identities, fated mates, he falls first, angels/demons vibes, spice and magical pets. What’s not to love?! Overall, this was fun and enjoyable and a perfect read for Valentine’s Day coming up.
