Somehow, I slept with Taylor King, my roommate and arch-enemy. But despite our time together being the hottest night of my life, the morning after proves that Taylor’s the worst guy in the world, and it’s better, for my own sanity (and my heart), to have nothing to do with him.
There’s just one I can’t get off. It’s like my dick is broken, and nothing I do can fix it. Sure, I could ask Taylor for help, but I’d rather die.
At the same time, Taylor’s starting to act weird. Some days he’s nice, other days he’s irrationally jealous. I don’t know what’s going on with him, and frankly, it’s not my problem. I’ve already made my I’m never going to bed with him ever again…
Rival Rematch is a smutty MM novella about two roommates who hate each other, desire each other, and definitely don’t have feelings for each other.
Still a bit of a weird one, but actually a big step up from book one of this little novella series!
This was steamy, yes, but we also got some much needed emotional development which I appreciated. I’m still not sure I fully get these two yet (especially Taylor), but I definitely have more of a grasp on them than I did after the first book, so, progress I guess?
And now I’m genuinely keen to read the last one, I hope it drops soon 😍

For your goldfish brain, Pauline: This one ends with them agreeing on a casual f-buddy arrangement and with Archie finding Taylor’s photo album called ‘idiot’ full of pics of him!
Rivals Rematch is an entertaining follow-up that picks up immediately where the previous story left off and my goodness do these two have some communication issues. Watching them both realize their encounter was more than either prepared for and how their walls immediately go back up make for a entertaining story as both try to navigate a bunch of confusing and questioning feelings that neither truly understand.
I really appreciated how even though these two main characters connected on a physical level they still have so much growth and learning to do in regards to understanding one another and how to process their growing feelings. This entry ends on a cliffhanger that perfectly sets up where the next entry will go and I cannot wait to see how everything develops more. This series is highly entertaining and I cannot wait to return to these characters.
*** I reviewed a complimentary copy of this story.***
I'm so happy that Archie and Taylor have more of a story!
I really enjoyed book one but it never felt finished? This second installment was entertaining and I liked how they were so awkward but also so cute with each other.
Archie finding that album on Taylor's phone was the perfect lead in to the next book. Can't wait to see how these two get their HEA!

🎮 “𝐼 𝑟𝑒𝑔𝑟𝑒𝑡 𝑖𝑡.”
Since this is the second book in a series of novellas that always feature the same couple, I thought it was only right to include the first book, which I read a while ago (and which I couldn't wait to get the sequel). Plus, both novellas are quick reads, so I highly recommend them.
🎮 “𝑆𝑖𝑡. 𝐼 𝑚𝑎𝑑𝑒 𝑢𝑠 𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑟.”
The chemistry between the characters is great, and the spice is very well done. And I have to say, I really appreciated that it was only from Archie's POV, one of the two main characters, because it allowed me to identify with him and how difficult it was to pick up on the other boy's cues, who was always so cryptic.
I can't wait to read the last book when it comes out, hoping for a happy ending for them, but I also hope to read something from Taylor's point of view, because as much as I enjoyed trying to reconstruct his thoughts and actions, I'd also like to get inside his head and really know what's there, especially given how this novella ended.
gahh i was so excited to read a continuation of taylor & archie. 4 stars. i really love the dynamic between these two, it does feel like a real enemies/dislike to lovers with also pining mixed in. the smut is great and theyre clearly sexually compatible but it was the swoony cute stuff in this one that really got me. the date that wasnt a date, yeah i see you guys. milana's writing to me always flows well and i enjoy her characters' stubbornness yet swoon factor.
AND idgaf i WAS swooning. the idiot folder on his photo app. taylor is such a closet romantic and i need more of it. oh i need part 3 to this so bad. i really do love everything milana writes so im always excited for a new release from her and will definitely eagerly anticipate part 3 of taylor & archie's story.
I received a copy of this from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review :)
I"m so excited that we get to see more of Archie and Taylor's story! The boys are high school rivals who end up as college roommates. After a sexy competition in the first, we immediately pick up where they left off...waking up in Archie's bed. This ends up being too much for them and it's clear they have some post-nut emotional stuff to discuss. Does it happen here? Mmmm, not quite. However, they have fun working some things through on a sexual level and end up deciding on a FWB thing, especially after Taylor develops some jealous tendencies when Archie pals around with others. I loved the cooking - swoon. There is a mild and very intriguing cliffhanger and I simply cannot wait for the last novella to come out! As with the first one, this was hot, sweet, and has some swoony moments - especially with the caretaking.
After reading Rival Roommate I was desperate for a sequel especially because the ending was a bit vague and honestly left you wanting more. I couldn’t believe when Milana announced the sequel and let me just say I love it, it was everything I wanted.
I love Archie and Taylor their chemistry is everything is one of the first thing that got me hooked on the story, I like how Milana dive deeper into Archie & Taylor past and how there was always a magnetic pull between them. Rival rematch while is a quick story is entraining, sweet and spicy and if will leave you wanting more because it does end on a cliffhanger i can’t wait for part three because i desperately need answers and definitely more Archie & Taylor moments also please Milana write Taylor POV we need it.
Rival Rematch is smutty dumb fun ~ with a dash of heart thrown into the mix!! Taylor King (yes, my mans is a first and last name kind of guy) and Archie are both hilariously clueless, low-key obsessed with each other, and oblivious as fuck… or well, at least Archie is. Although, to give my mans some credit, Taylor King is definitely a read between the lines / still-waters run deep kinda guy. So like, I don't blame him for taking Taylor King at face value.
But damn, the revelation at the end? Low-key had me hype af because it is one of my favorite romance tropes, so I am so ready for book three.
Archie and Taylor are roommates in college who hated each other in high school. Now they are grumpy all the time but have bets that the loser has to be the slave leading to hook ups. They act like children, sniping at each other to cover up they both really want each other. It's the part of a continuing novella in a continuing series.
