This is a decent collection of writings and interviews from the Sakya Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sakya). I admit to not being very inclined to interest in Varjayana given this introduction as I found the concept of flying monks, Buddha teaching a king a path to enlightenment in a single lifetime that doesn't require severing fetters and much other astonishing stories to be pretty unbelievable. Bön's influence on Tibetan Buddhism really shows here and interests me strictly on anthropological rather than philosophical grounds. In closing I did enjoy several writings on historical grounds (e.g. Drogön Chögyal Phagpa's letter to Kublai Khan) and some of the treatises on meditation.
