Robin Hoode – Time Is the Ultimate Thief: A Medieval Legend Reimagining

Rate this book
Orphaned. Hidden. Hunted. Robin Hoode has lived her life in the shadows—robbing from the powerful to give to the forgotten. But what happens when the past she’s outrun finally catches up with her?The kingdom of Nottingham bows under the iron rule of the merciless King John, and Robin Hoode has made it her purpose to defy him at every turn.

But when whispers spread of a blind seer who strikes fear even into the cold heart of the king, Robin’s world begins to unravel. The seer’s prophecies are foreboding, her power is unmatched, and her connection to Robin’s lost past proves impossible to ignore.

Determined to uncover the truth, Robin ventures into a web of secrets where trust is tested—not least when she comes face to face with the king’s son, whose loyalty could destroy or save her. With an uprising on the horizon, Robin must decide who she truly is before the past devours the present.

In this fantasy tale of rebellion and fate, where the line between vengeance and destiny is thinner than ever, Robin Hoode reimagines a timeless legend where every choice could change the course of time itself.

Spectacular!

I got my copy for free, but the opinion is my own. Well worth buying! As a fan of the legends of Robin Hood, this was very fun as a reimagining of the tales. The takeaway I took from the fascinating story is the power of agency/choice. The story line has magic in it, which detracted for me; but it was tasteful and fit the plot well.

Update****- I just read this book for the second time. I cannot believe I was able to enjoy it more than the first, but here we are. This book. It clutches at every heart string. Containing tears throughout the last few chapters and epilogue, the way this author (I love her) connects EVERYTHING….is truly unbelievable. This is fiction with a spin on fantasy, and suspense after every chapter. So- SO good. 5 stars, again.

Robin Hoode. I read it in less than a week. And it’s a long book so that tells you something. It’s a page turner. I laughed. I cried. Chills. All the things you want in a novel. By the last sentence, it gave me all the feels. An overwhelming message about time and life and what’s really matters. This is a BETTER version of “Robin Hood” in my opinion. So beautifully written …The characters are all so important to the story in their own unique way. The way the author connects everything and everyone is TRULY spectacular. I know this is a book that I will reread time and time again. I highly recommend this version of Robin Hood… Hood with an E. The heroin. Love love loved this book. Love love love the author. Can’t wait to see what else she comes out with.

Personally a big fan of the reimagining of old folk tales. What struck me about this book is the imagery portrayed in each chapter - loved the descriptive writing. “A goblet of blood red wine” was a line that caught me, as I could clearly envision the king taking the sip. Going back to the plot, what a great twist on the original tale. The way it was presented made it its very own novel in its own right, and the character development was great throughout, with plenty of twists and turns along the way. the short chapters also held me stay engaged throughout , which I liked a lot.
