Laurel Darby has never celebrated a real Christmas, just cold, formal holidays with her wealthy family. The complete opposite of her girlfriend Dallas Hayes' upbringing. Spending the season with Dallas means trading stiff traditions for a crowded farmhouse with the loud, loving chaos of the Hayes clan.
It's everything Laurel has secretly wanted... and it's completely overwhelming.
Dallas is right there through it all, though, and is determined to make this the Christmas Laurel never had. Between family bonfires, stolen kisses, and one unforgettable night under twinkle lights, Laurel is about to have the best Christmas of her life.
This novella uses characters from A Shot of Her but can be read as a standalone. To fully appreciate their journey to this point, it may be helpful to read that first, but it is not necessary to still enjoy this novella.
Katie Trapp is an indie author from a small town in southern Middle Tennessee who currently resides with her wife, two dogs, and two cats in Kentucky. In 2021, she published her debut novel, An Unexpected Partnership, and has been writing ever since.
A Christmas with Her is the newest offering from Katie Trapp and her first Christmas novella! If you've read A Shot of Her, you'll be pleased to be reunited with Laurel and Dallas. If you haven't, this is easily read as a standalone story! If you're looking for something short, sweet and sexy as hell to read over the holidays, look no further!
This is Laurel and Dallas’ first Christmas together and they're heading to see Dallas’ big family, and I mean extremely large, compared to Laurel's tiny family. Laurel is understandably nervous and wants to make a good impression. She also is a little freaked out about having to stay in the tiny camper Dallas surprises her with right before they leave.
Without giving too much away, I can safely say that the family welcomes Laurel with open arms and the camper is put to VERY good use during their alone time. Especially when Laurel wears the outfit from the front cover! (Illustrated by Katie herself!) Trust me when I say you do not want to miss that scene!
Go grab this sweet, sassy, sexy novella today! It will cheer up even the grinches among us!
Omg what a lovely addition to A Shot of Her as well as sapphic holiday cozy quick reads! Dallas and Laurel are back and spending the holiday with all of Dallas’ huge (and welcoming) family. Laurel is feeling a bit overwhelmed but leave it to Dallas to keep her grounded. Laurel and Dallas compliment one another perfectly in every way that matters. And there just may be one of the best proposals added in ;). Read this for a enjoyable taste but highly recommend starting with A Shot of Her and finishing with this A Christmas with Her for the best experience!
This novella takes place after A Shot of Her and continues the lovely journey of Laurel and Dallas. The novella is about Laurel going with Dallas to spend the holidays with Dallas’ family. Laurel is not used to large, boisterous family gatherings so has some trepidation and is worried about fitting in. Dallas’ family are wonderful though, so this is fun, low angst slice of life. I enjoyed spending time with these characters again.
A wonderful bonus epilogue about Laurel and Dallas that ties everything together and on top of that gives the best Christmas vibes. If you have read and loved A Shot of Her this is a must read, it will guarantee that you will love them as a couple even more. They are just perfect together!
What a quick and fun read. A delightful epilogue to Dallas and Laurel’s story. Heartwarming, relatively stress free, festive and light. The perfect short story to enjoy when taking a break from the intensity of the season.
Dallas and her family are just so beautiful! Very accurate description of a BIG family and with so much love and happiness. Adored this novella and really do hope we have more adventures with Laurel and Dallas (pretty please!)
An ode to body positivity and Sapphic love is what this little novella is in a nutshell. I loved these characters already in A Shot of Her, and now they are definitely on the way to their happy ever after.
Such an amazing little novella to continue Laurel and Dallas’ love story!! Spicy and absolutely heartwarmingly adorable! Highly recommend reading this right after the first one!!
Light, fluffy and so sweet, this novella that continues the story from A Shot of Her is absolutely delightful! And there's a helping of spice to go along with the cheery holiday vibes.
Quick read, short and sweet. It's a sequel to another book that I haven't read, but this book is a standalone that works. I liked the characters and will go read the first book because I enjoyed this one.
