The heart-pounding sequel to USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Thorne's action-packed lesbian adventure, This Gilded Abyss!

Death might be the only escape.

When Sergeant Nix Marr signed up as her ex’s bodyguard for a trip to the domed city of Fall, she doubted she’d return alive. But neither woman could have predicted the cataclysmic event that stranded them both beneath the ocean.

Worse, Fall has been completely abandoned, ruins of a once-grand city. Aside from the occasional infected citizen, there’s no indicator where the rest of Fall’s population went. And as Nix and Kessandra hunt for clues, a deeper evil prods Nix’s own mind.

With Fall’s iconic dome flooding and every answer creating more questions, the pair may have to descend deeper than they ever imagined to survive.

Welcome to Fall.

“There’s always time for a dance, my dear.”

If I could rate this any higher, I fucking would. I would even say that this sequel is BETTER than the first book. It was thrilling, it had me screaming, it gave me chills. This book grabbed me by the fucking balls and then gripped harder.

“All that existed here was Ichoron and misery”

In Fall, no one is safe; not even the dead. It was creepy, atmospheric, high stakes, and best of all wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey.

Heavy Bio-shock meets zombie apocalypse vibes; filled with classic Rebecca Thorne style humor and quips. ANNNND the sex scene was better. What more could a girl want.

I read the indie ARC of This Gilded Abyss, so I have been waiting for This Crimson Ruin for 3 years. ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!

Nix and Kess have made it to Fall, but their journey is far from over.

I've now read TCR twice, and the emotional impact has remained the same. I feel like I can't say anything without spoiling any of it! It's intense and still full of the fun banter despite the dire stakes. I need This Obsidian Night, and I will wait as long as it takes!

Thank you to Rebecca Thorne for the opportunity to read and review!
