Where do I even begin?! I fucking LOVE Offside. Offside is such an incredible follow up to Play Dirty and completely just exceeds expectations. The plot really thickens in book two and grabs ahold of you and literally doesn’t want to let go. It’s addictive as hell and I felt like I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
Big secrets are revealed in scandalous ways and at this point you truly can’t trust anyone. I couldn’t tell you how many times I audibly gasped and sent crash out messages.
Offside focuses on Thiago & Zayden and I swear they will become your newest obsession. The angst and tension between the two of them is EVERYTHING... Offside is definitely one of those books where hidden moments and fights are hitting just as hard as those spicy scenes. And let me tell you those scenes are 😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨 Luna never disappoints with her spice.
And can we talk about that damn ending and that EPILOGUE?!?! I swear I wasn’t ready! Even though i beta read offside that ending stilllll had me clutching my chest. Talk about a gnarly cliffhanger that will literally have you foaming at the mouth for book three.

Well, this book had a whole lot of “WTF” moments. Each plot twist had me gasping in surprise, often saying out loud, “Luna, you did not just go there,” or “No fucking way.”
There were times I felt sick to my stomach watching someone who claims to love another person treat them like shit, all in the name of “keeping them safe.” Thiago, I’m looking at you, man. The amount of times I wanted to punch him… luckily, he “redeems” himself in typical unhinged, dark romance fashion.
Luna had me consistently lowering my standards, thinking, “Well, in a fucked up way, that makes perfect sense. Toxic as fuck, but that's how these stories go.”
The emotional damage these characters carry is utterly heartbreaking. Zayden’s past is rife with neglect, abandonment, and a despair that lives deep within his soul, never allowing him to know a moment of peace.
“And when your body only knows abuse, it’s hard to understand love. It’s hard to walk around and not have your walls up.” This quote hit me hard. It is so discouraging to know that this is real. Personal life experiences have shown me how living a life of pain and abuse wires get crossed. Often these individuals start craving the very thing that broke them. That sentiment perfectly encompasses Zayden's character. He is broken, and while he craves the pain, he hates himself for giving into that “need." It was a very sad truth to read.
Thiago may have been born with a silver spoon in his mouth, but underneath all that shine and beauty is often just a pile of shit, stinking up the room. His life parallels Zayden's in many ways, and his need to feel loved and chosen plagues him daily. His need to keep Zayden “safe” while playing the double agent was a risky move. His ability to pull Zayden in and demand intimacy, while also being the biggest asshat in the room, caused some serious whiplash.
With all the twists and turns, cameos from Book 1 characters, and more secrets revealed, it had me on the edge of my seat. As expected with any book I’ve read of Luna's, she weaves complex lines connecting the characters to the world they live in. All while keeping just enough in the dark, leaving you wanting to come back for more.
This book is dark, depraved, and absolutely devastating. The intimate scenes are scorching, and Zayden and Thiago’s sexual chemistry is off the charts. When they give in to their desires, it is explosive.
I highly recommend the series. I definitely suggest reading Book 1 first, as there are crucial aspects of that story within this one.
I anxiously wait for book 3, because I need more and I need it now.

This was book w in this universe. I read book 1 “Play Dirty” right before this one. I recommend reading book 1 first, you’re going to want the character backstory. There are characters from book 1 that are front and centre. Not you’re a-typical dark romance. The content is heavy and it is recommended that you read the triggers before you proceed. While the spice isn’t high, the history and discussions may not be for everyone. The MMC’s are soccer players so you can expect a bit of play throughout. Thiago & Zayden the 2 MMC’s have a complicated friendship, and the story really dives into how they have become who they are. So many “what the?” moments in this one, and it’s hard to like anyone except Z. Read the Epilogue as it will prepare you for book 3. Not so much a cliffhanger that you’ll pull your hair, but I know that I am waiting for the next one!

I have been obsessed with the series since nico. My heart was damn mess .
The unraveling of it the way it keeps you questioning everything and what will happen next. Luna never disappoints the way she writes is just beautifully tragic in the best way.

Thiago may different type life but it was not loving home like others may think which makes me understand him and way he feels the need to protect zayden and just wanting to be loved and actually chosen , I feel like you can connect with Thiago on that level cause dont we all just wanna be loved and chosen for us not what we bring or give you. To be picked to be the one that is cared for, etc.
I know some may have issues with Thiago when he ass i get that I was bit upset with him when was ass with zayden but I love him with all his flaws and more that what makes Thiago (Thiago) .
I still cant get over how deep and addicted I got to them i just absolutely love everything the sadness the untold secrets that keep unraveling and the twists definitely making me talking to myself about every part that I didnt see coming .
Yes, it's dark, but that's exactly what I love to read .my attachment to characters makes me feel even deeper the emotions I feel happy,sad ,shocked, etc.

Well I really was just taken on the ride of my life and completely blown away in all the best ways . Luna nailed it once again and delivered one of the best books I’ve read this year . Offside really was and is everything, i mean everything. It’s an emotional rollercoaster that plays on all your emotions in ways you won’t even be expecting. You’ll experience everything from being utterly speechless, to yelling outta pure frustration. Your heart will feel like it’s beating so fast and then bam belong crushed the next , you’ll be glued to the edge of your seat anticipating what will happen from one second to the next . And you’ll find yourself rooting so freaking hard . From page one I was just completely intrigued and by Zayden and Thiago , I can’t really put into words all the reasons why , but I just felt such a strong connection to both and I most definitely was not prepared for how their journey would touch my heart and resonate with me on so many levels . Both were so beautifully broken in different ways , the things they went through together and separately just wrecked me , just shattered my heart . What was so beautiful though was watching them find the strength to overcome all those demons and obstacles, seeing the way they helped one another heal . I loved all the layers and complexities In their characters and their story , how it wasn’t easy , how they had to work to find the happiness they so clearly deserved. If you are fans of shows like Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl, then this captivating series is absolutely for you. Filled with gripping twists and turns in every single chapter, this story keeps you on the very edge of your seat and constantly wanting more. While I highly recommend reading the first book before diving into this one, otherwise, the complex plot will definitely leave you with more questions than answers, the ride is entirely worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed the mystery aspect of the storyline, which delivers a narrative focused much more on a thrilling plot than heavy spice. I normally prefer a different balance, but this fast paced mystery had me flipping pages as fast as possible just to get to the next massive "wtf" moment.
The emotional centerpiece of the book is the intense, palpable tension between Zayden and Thiago, which literally had me gripping my iPad and screaming, "JUST ACCEPT THE LOVE ALREADY!" The emotional centerpiece of the book is the intense, palpable tension between Zayden and Thiago, which literally had me gripping my iPad and screaming, "JUST ACCEPT THE LOVE ALREADY!" Even though I personally wish we had gotten a bit more depth regarding the final solidification of the boys being together, I still completely enjoyed how their dynamic unfolded. It is a fantastic read for anyone looking for a plot driven romance with a heavy dose of suspense. I am forever thankful that I had the opportunity to ARC read this wonderful story, and I can't wait to see what thrilling turns the author takes next!

I'm still in denial over the ending and the scream I screamt was probably heard like ten miles from my house. But it's okay, in Luna we trust.
God, Thiago and Zayden are literally running from themselves and their own feelings for majority of the book. Zayden more than anything, although he does admit he has feelings and a need and a pull towards Thiago, if he didn't then he wouldn't be concerned with his safety or anything. That is very apparent when Thiago has his car accident and Zayden basically leaps out of a moving vehicle and runs down a steep slope to get to him.
They aren't without their demons, and I actually did not see Thiago's stepmom being Zayden's biological mother. Where did she go after both his and Zayden's father's deaths? Who knows. But the question still remains: who runs The Pulse Blog?

Offside is book two in the Villalargos University series, and follows Thiago & Zayden. I personally really liked this book. The way that Luna has this series set up is so twisty and stuffed full of plot. We definitely got some questions answered that were left unanswered in book one, BUT that being said, there are way more questions now than before! There are so many plot twists that you don’t even think about being possibilities until they happen. The way that Luna writes makes it to where you don’t want to stop reading until you know what’s going on. I was on the edge of my seat this whole book. This series is so good so far and I can’t wait to see what happens next. I definitely recommend this to anyone who loves a lot of plot twists and readers who don’t mind cliff hangers. I personally think reading it and having to wait for the next book adds to the suspense but that’s not for everyone!

Off Side was a great sequel to Play Dirty. I definitely recommend reading Play Dirty first to fully understand the characters’ backstories and relationships. This dark romance is emotionally heavy and packed with intense moments. Some of the plot twists were mind-blowing. The unraveling of past secrets and disloyalty kept the story incredibly engaging.
This installment focused heavily on Thiago and Zayden, whose relationship is layered with emotional trauma and a complicated past filled with secrets and lies. Their dynamic added a lot of depth to the story and made the emotional moments hit even harder.
The epilogue was especially well written, and it left me anxious to dive into the next installment.

I loved this book SO much! When Luna said broken boys with daddy issues, I was so in. She did not disappoint! Thiago and Zayden relationship is SO volatile! I absolutely devoued every word of their story, it's a frenimes to lovers type of thing, and Thiago holds power over Zay, yet he pushed back so much. There is so much emotion in their story, both the good and bad kind. I'm glad we got closure on what really happened to June, so matter how sad it was. She deserved so much better, I hope the entire secret society burns down soon for what all they have done.
That ending page though....man do I hate cliffhangers, but I'm excited about seeing that played out in the next one, and hopefully all other kinds of revenge will be served.

Holy plot twists and turns! I’m realllly loving this new series by Luna. It’s softer than her normal books but still very much a dark tragic story. So much is happening and unraveling that it keeps you constantly guessing and questioning every thought and every move. I love books like this that have your cortisol levels through the roof.
I truly love both of our MMCs in this story as well. They just fit one another so beautifully and I feel like Luna did a really great job of having them play their role while also developing a true connection. It’s hard not to root for them and feel so much for them and everything they are going through.
It’s still a dark story so please be sure to read your triggers beforehand. It has Gossip girls vibes but on a whole other completely unhinged level!

I am so obsessed with this book. From the start to end, Offside had me hooked from page one with its eerie tone, shocking twists, emotional turmoil, and morally questionable characters. Nico and Shiloh totally ripped my heart out, and the love-hate relationship of Zayden and Thiago had me yelling from start to finish. The drama in each and every chapter was so intense and addicting in all the right ways. The combination of elite corruption, hidden societies, forbidden romance, and twists made for an addictive read. The writing itself was intense, shocking, and addicting.

Secrets, lies and mystery! Oh my!!! Absolutely fantastic! This book keeps you completely enthralled from beginning to end! It will absolutely blow your mind! I seriously could not put this down. You definitely need to read book 1 but then this will drag you further into this world of secrets and twists! Seriously amazing!
