Bailey Kingsley-Ekhart: The Kingsley women had a reputation for being pretty enough to get a man but not savvy enough to keep him. A family of women who were mothers but never wives. I thought it was my responsibility to break the generational curse, so I married. The joke was on me, when after five years of marriage there were no pregnancies. When a pregnancy finally happened, I lost the baby and my marriage. Now, all I wanted to do was rediscover Bailey and recapture my joy.
Brighton “Bright” Strong: The dude she married was a clown. He couldn’t handle her on his best day. And in the end, he fumbled her in the worst way. I was up next, and I didn’t care that she wanted to be left alone. I didn’t care that her past left her prickly and unsure of herself. All I wanted to do was make her laugh and see her smile. She was looking to rebuild. I owned a construction company. I was all about rebuilding. Once she stopped fighting and her ex stopped pretending that what he broke could be fixed . . . it was up. She would be mine.
Admittedly, the family dynamic with the mama and daughter marrying brothers threw me off a bit and almost made me tap out. I stuck with it though and ended up enjoying seeing Bailey grow past her loss and hurt and her triflin ex. Bright was super sweet to Bailey and I loved that he was truly her friend before anything else. I also loved seeing him grow beyond his player ways. And despite the weird marriage situation, I did really love the closeness of both families and how they really showed up for each other. This one started out very heavy and pulled at several of the heart strings but it ended on a very beautiful brighter side that had me all smiles.
Bailey went through a devastating time in her marriage with no support from her trifling husband, Xander, so she finally decides to divorce her pathetic piece of a husband. In making that decision, she also decides to go and visit her family in Oregon. There, she starts spending time with Bright who is her mother's brother-in-law. I loved how Bright and Bailey got to know one another and became friends first. Bright was helpful and supportive of Bailey which she needed and deserved. I was glad Bailey was able to find peace and happiness with Bright. This was a really good book that I couldn't put down. I'm hoping that Brewer will get his own book as well.
I absolutely loved this book. Seeing the growth in Bailey was my favorite. I was so glad to see her come into her own and find her backbone. Jackson Falls was the best place for her as she found her true place in life. As much as I loved Bailey, I loved Bright more. The way he showed up for Bailey and made sure to get her out of her grief was beautiful. Even though he gave playboy, he was all about Bailey from the beginning. I loved the friendship that these two built first before they preceded to more. Just know Xander, Bailey's ex-husband, can go sit with Satan. He deserved everything he got, plus more.
This was so stinking cute. Bailey deserved so much in life and I’m glad Bright was able to provide that. Definitely after her wack ahh ex husband Xander. Taking time in Jackson falls was definitely the right move for her mental and learning to be her again.
The story was the perfect pace and I loved how everything panned out.
The Bright Side was a good read. Bailey was too sweet for the likes of her ex, who should have got his butt kicked on sight every time he came around! Brighton was just what Bailey needed after dealing with that clown.
Le Sigh...I just didn't love it. It seemed to be headed in the right direction but then it just fell flat. It started to just drag along. I just can't explain what it is.
Bailey found herself trapped in a stagnant marriage. Following the heartbreaking loss of her baby she endured significant mental, physical and emotional distress. Her husband sought a divorce, which she ultimately granted. Fortunately, Bailey had the unwavering support of her family her mother and three sisters who stood by her side. All she desired was freedom and a fresh start. Though she longed for a family and children with her husband those dreams seemed distant. Xander's unkindness exacerbated her struggles as he preyed on her insecurities and threatened her with divorce. After losing her baby Bailey felt an urgent need to release him from their union believing that it would also free her.
Having previously read the author's works, I was immediately captivated by this story. It’s challenging to portray a woman grappling with the pain of losing a child and the difficulties of conception, but the author approached the subject with love and empathy. The narrative resonates deeply, emphasizing the importance of family. Bailey deserves a partner who will cherish protect and honor her.
Bright, a kind hearted man, recognized Bailey's need for love, time, and encouragement. He sensed that she had sacrificed too much for her ex husband and was burdened by the weight of her losses her son, her marriage, everything. Bright went above and beyond to help her heal, entering the situation with genuine intentions. While he was undoubtedly attracted to her, he never sought to manipulate their connection. Instead, he aimed to support her, believing that true love often begins with friendship.
The author’s storytelling was seamless, drawing me in from the outset. I appreciated Bailey’s family their steadfast support demonstrated the true meaning of unity. Her stepfather stepped up to protect her and address any challenges she faced, reinforcing the idea that family problems are shared burdens. My first encounter with this author was through Quiet as Kept which I also found beautifully written.
Overall, this was a touching story, and I look forward to exploring more works by the author. I was genuinely pleased to see Bailey find hope, love, and support within her family.
I tell you between the Strong men and the Kinsley women, it's like there's no one else left in the world. These two families come together like crazy. I must say I'm very happy for Bailey she definitely deserves better. Brighton to the rescue. Brighton is patient and honest that's what she needed. Bailey definitely deserves better. Her husband Xander was a real loser. I'm so happy for Brighton and Bailey Strong. I'm anxiously waiting to see who's up next.
I would like to say, this book is fire. I just couldn’t put it down. I loved all the characters especially Bailey and Bright, I’m so happy she found the love she was looking for. Them Strong Brothers were raised right shot out to their parents. Alisha the mother of the girls did a great job as a single mother. In this book you will be happy, sad, emotional, and stressed out. But most of all you will feel the love, This is my first time reading from this author but I will definitely be looking for other books.
Brighton! Bright! That man was every f* thing! All I kept hearing in my head was, “That’s a good man, Savanna!” every time he encouraged, supported, or loved up on Bailey.
This was such a feel-good romance. Healing and moving on were front and center, and I loved that for Bailey. Bright was ready to guide her straight into her soft-girl era, and he did it flawlessly.
Tracy Gray knows how to write a good romance, and this one was no exception. Highly recommend!
Bright is the sweetest and perfect for Bailey. After all that she went through with her ex going to Jackson Falls was exactly what she needed. Bright was determined to not let her sit around depressed and defeated. He wanted to see her smile and live out loud.
I enjoyed everything about this story. I have to go back and read Beck and Coll since I know this story is a part of it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Review: The Bright Side by Tracy Gray — A Beautiful True Love Story
Amazing from start to finish! I absolutely loved the characters and the plot—everything felt so real and heartfelt. This book is a true love story that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. I finished it in one day because I couldn’t put it down. Beautifully written, emotional, and inspiring. Highly recommend to anyone who loves a great romance! 💖📖
Ouuuii the husband has me TIGHT!!!! She was really tearing his butt a new one with kindness and that’s one of the things i enjoyed the most. He wanted so bad to make her life hell but she kept moving forward even though her mental was trying to hold her back. Bright literally just was being a good person and found love he was never looking for in the process. This was good, i didnt even realize i had read Collin’s story already.
This is the first book i’ve read in a while where I wouldn’t change a thing! Now I will say the family connection is a little ehhh but they aren’t blood related so I get it lol. Otherwise this was such a beautiful journey of baby loss, rediscovery and healing. I would love to read about the other sisters especially Perkins because I’m where are the girl’s dad.
Tragedy and unhappiness seemed to follow Bailey Kingsley. Her marriage imploded on the day of her son's memorial service. Her husband callously told her that he wanted a divorce so that he could be with a woman who was carrying a healthy child. Devastated, she finally agreed to go from Chicago to Oregon, where her mother and sisters had relocated. Little did she know that she had a Bright future awaiting her there.
In the serendipitous collision of their lives, Bright and Bailey's encounter defied ordinary expectations. Like a luminous beacon piercing through storm clouds, Bright instantly transformed Bailey's shadowy existence, casting warmth and hope where darkness had once prevailed. Loved this story.
This is my first read by this author and it was beautiful! The storyline, the character, the attention to detail, the passion. This book was so good. And it was so real. I'm born and raised in Chicago so I love the attention to my city as well. Can't wait to read more by Ms. Tracy Gray.
This was a standalone book about one of the brothers from the book Beck and Coll.It was a good story overall, with cutesy romance vibes. I liked the friendship that Bailey and Brighton had first, that ultimately led to a good romance. I enjoy all the characters and family dynamics between them. I hope Ms. Gray writes about other characters in this family.
I loved the natural progression of the friendship. Brighton was definitely a bright spot if this story line.. Bailey had a rough time in the beginning, but came into her own. She had so much love and support. I cant wait to read Perkins story next!
This book was really good!! The family dynamic was funny but those men loved their women and thats all that mattered!! I was so happy Bailey got her happily ever after after being with that so called husband Xander!!
Brighton and Bailey were friends-to-lovers cuteness! Bailey was a survivor! Having to overcome what she went through with her horrible husband and seeing her come out on the other side and open up to Bright was super sweet.
Bright and Bailey were so good together. Bailey had been through so much, and her ex was everything she didn’t need. I’m so glad she knew to just go home and reset. Bright breathed so much life and strength into Bailey. I’m enjoying the Strong family!!!
This book was a breath of fresh air . It was short and sweet . A black hallmark story for sure .. I love lobe and that was written well into this story . I wouldn’t mind reading more about the other characters and Bright and Bailey .
Ughhh, this was such a cute read!! Baby that man deserved so much more; but him being about her upping the score on him was so worth it! I loved Bright and Bailey real bad lol.
Read in one day well short of one day.. Bailey is definitely resilient she roughed it thru a bad marriage some man of us do her journey gets Bright :) That all I’ll leave yu with. Happy reading
I normally love this authors work. This was a slow read for me. Stopped and read something else. But? Overall it was okay. Alot of side characters. And all thr B names a d sister names definitely confused me lol. Still one of my favorite authors.
Excellent love story. These two hearts were meant for real love. Bailey had gone through so much with Zander. Bright wanted love like his parents and brother had. Thanks for keeping it real for us.
This story gave me all the good feels. That ex-husband was trash but in came Brightness to Bailey’s storm. From day one Bright wasn’t letting up on her, he didn’t force he guided. He didn’t judge he listened and help navigate. He didn’t get angry he communicated. She was always safe with home. Now I’m not happy that this is all we got from them. I need more
