Amanda Booker played Blair Fox in field hockey, and Blair unintentionally crippled Amanda. And Amanda has never forgotten it. Then they get assigned to work together...
Blair is terrified of working with Amanda, but she seems to want to let the past go. They also have to keep the peace for the job.
They're both shocked to run into the other at a gay bar... both get too drunk and kiss, then Amanda panics and bolts. She is not out to her family, the idea of being out at worries her, so she flees.
Blair is less than pleased. Worse they have to go to New Orleans together for several days on a work trip. They sleep together, finally....
Amanda is still opposed to being out, and while Blair is ok to start with, the sneaking around gets to her. They get dared to kiss at a party, Amanda balks, third act breakup.
Good wrap up. 3.5 stars out of 5. Not terrific but solidly good.

finding happiness..
Wonderful heartfelt story. Two high school rivals meeting years later working for the same law firm. One out the other deep in the closet.
I loved Amanda’s father Richard apologizing when she came out. Oh, that all parents reacted this way. Tessa has a knack for simple wisdom. The waitress telling Blaire her secret to happiness-count your blessings.
First novel I’ve read by Tessa Vidal will definitely be reading others.
