I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Ordinarily, I would review each story individually, but this book is so jam packed with sizzling goodness that reviewing 22 different stories would only detract from the overall review. This book delivers *anything* you could want from a collection of sexy short stories.

The overall theme of this collection is that all of these couples are losing their virginity. Sound awkward? Some of them are hilariously awkward. Some of them are light your kindle on fire HOT. There is a wide variety of paranormal creatures (fairies, vampires, shifters, viking gods, runic warriors, and that's only naming a few). There are also a wide variety of relationships (practically strangers, fated mates, longtime boyfriend/girlfriend, love spell induced couples, and everything in between). Looking for a nice combination of settings? This book also gives you that variety. There's futuristic, fantasy, urban, and straight contemporary romance. What more could you ask for in a collection of short stories?

All of these stories are the perfect length, making the pages fly by quickly. I'm usually not the best at dedicating myself to short story anthologies, but this was really wonderfully combined. Each story had a little blurb before it, so that even if I was unfamiliar with the context, I was able to dive right in. If you're looking to discover new authors (and enjoy some sexy time reading), this anthology could be exactly what you need.

For more GIVEAWAYS, other reviews, and Blurbs from this book check out my blog!

I will be honest I have not finished the book yet. I have four stories left and I am excited for them. I am super stoked for the stories to come. This has to do with the fact that I have not been let down so far! I am an adult and only adults should read this book. I would definitely recommend this book to early twenty somethings because I feel like they could relate!
This book definitely made me blush!!
There wasn't any stories in this anthology that offended me, which could have easily been done since the subject is about losing v-cards. I did not find any of the stories grotesque either. My inner feminist did not want to come out and ban this book cause it was not all about women losing there v-cards to men who control them. This actually happens a lot in adult romance books and I am growing tired of it.
Thankfully though I enjoyed this book and will add it to my "I don't need that misogynist man I'll just read this blush book!" or my "Hold out for someone better" book collection!
I enjoyed the romance, the short story format, and the characters! There is all levels of paranormal romance with fairies, vampires, shape shifters, wolves, viking gods, runic warriors, and so many more!! Some of the stories are laugh out loud awkward which I know some of us can relate too. Some are hard core romantic and will make you blush!
There is a story in this anthology for everyone I promise!

This book lets you know what happened behind closed doors in some of your favorite author's books. The greatest thing about this book is that each author gives you a snippet about what their book is about and what is happening in the scene before they tell you the dirty deeds ;) This way you can enjoy all the authors even if you're not familiar with all their books. The scenes are short, but amazing. It is not so "adult" that its uncomfortable for those new to na romances. I loved getting to find out what happened behind closed doors of some of my favorite books, and read some stories that had me wanting to read their whole book. It was an all around win. Give this book a try.

If you like NA/YA stories then this is a fabulous treasure trove for you. The main theme is about people losing their virginity so I recommend this for the mature readers. The twenty two authors give us a behind the scene story of losing it- hence the title.

Although there were quite a few genres in this that I've not read before it's certainly whet my appetite. Talk about variety is the spice of life- some parts of these stories will have you laughing out loud while other parts will have you blushing.

I certainly recommend this anthology. If your looking to broaden your genres then this is a great idea. I'll definitely be looking into other stories by some of these authors.

Copy provided by Heather Hildenbrand for an honest review! 4 steamy stars! *blushes*

***************************************************************

This collection was kind of new to me because several literary genres were gathered, some I was not familiar to. It was a new experience to me and I enjoyed it!

Reading Losing it : A collection of V-Cards was a very interesting collection of behind the scenes from famous authors, which gonna make you blush more than once!
You will take a trip into very private moments, their first time.
My feeling: it’s like you were reading a script, or even watching some very steamy scenes from a unique moment of their lives, with the same topic transcribed with each author’s sensibility to make the reader feel, blushing and makes your heart beat faster. All of them succeed to maintain my attention to each story, focusing only at this precious, precise moment.
They were a lot of parts very unambiguous and I warn you, you should better read it in the comfort of your place, because it was very damn hot!
The authors went straight to the guts and there was a good balance between the innocence, uncertainties of the act, romanticism, sex and a lot of hot alpha males! Don’t get me wrong here, losing their V Card weren’t writing as perfect, but with a smart way to show us that everything wasn’t in a certain way but what matters it’s how your consider your partner and made this moment so special and memorable. They definitely captured the moment!
I don’t want to spoil any of these steamy stories, so I’m gonna make for each stories, my fave moment from it.

Thanks to this collection I discovered very good authors and added some of their books to my TBR!! So go for it and let you being seduced by all these ladies and hot guys!!

Thanks again to all these authors who shared those steamy, sexy, hot, uncensored stories!! * blushes*

As a rule, I don't usually rate my own books, but as there are 21 other (amazing!) authors involved in this collection, I'm ALL IN!

Full disclosure, I love sexy anthologies. To be part of one was a dream come true.

This is the type of tantalizing brain escape I love for getting my mind off things - or for entertaining/distracting myself while waiting at appointments. Suddenly three hours flew by. You can't put a price on that. And this is one of the many reasons why I love eReaders -- bystanders have no clue that something hot and heavy is going on across the screen. (Why is that woman's nose pressed up to her Kindle?)

The scenes wet my appetite to go and read more by the authors.

These women are truly incredible. I've never had more fun in a group project. xoxo

Losing It is a collection of 22 YA authors who have included excerpts or extended scenes where the heroines have given up their V cards. Most of these scenes are tastefully done and are not extremely explicit; on the other hand, some provide details more suitable for the mature readers. :)

I was really excited to read the excerpt from The Mythology Series by Helen Boswell, and boy, did she deliver!!!!! Micah and Hope Forever!!

I had not read many of the other authors works, but after reading through the collection, I have added some new authors to my ever-growing list of authors to try! :)

Pick up your copy of Losing It: A Collection of V-Cards!! It's only .99 cents and will only be around for a year!

* * ARC received on behalf of obsessed by books for an honest review * *
when you have a collection to great books all in one it's hard to do a review. Here we have 22 awesome stories of losing it, your virginity, and I for one love smut mushy books, but here we get all kinds, loving sweet, dark and dirty, rough and wet even paranormal and funny. So it's kind of hard to do a review on a great book with 22 stories, these authors did a excellent job and I loved how ever story had its own little description of what to expect, the only thing is each book wasn't long enough, definitely a must read. 5 out of 5

This compliation of short stories is full of great authors and the characters you have come to love. Each one of the 22 stories is about how the leading couple lose their virginity. Some are funny, some are embarrassing, some down right awkward, but all are sweet and let you see another side of these characters that you usually don't see or they dont go into as much detail in the books. This set is really great for a fun romantic Valentine read.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I highly recommend this set and you can't beat the price.

Something for everybody! (As long as they're not too young.) The book is a collection of ORIGINAL scenes that take place where other books left off. It's an great concept executed superbly. Many subgenres of YA/NA are represented here. Having come to this book by way of Milda Harris's Adventures in Funeral Crashing series, I had particular interest in the Kait and Ethan, and it didn't disappoint.

This book is a great buy and well worth your time.

I don't plan on finishing this entire collection any time soon (I have only read one series from it, so it'd be spoilery). But I did read the scene from S.M. Boyce and it was a great peek back into the Grimoire Saga, with an added level of heat. Was definitely worth grabbing the collection just for that, for me at least.

Losing It is a fun collection of short stories with lots of variety. With a little bit of every genre, paranormal creature and ranging from funny to steamy it has something for everyone. It is also an amazing way to get a little time in with 22 different authors and find a new series you might want to pick up. Definitely a fun collection to pick up right before Valentines Day.

I received an ARC copy of this Box Set in exchange for an honest review.

I will be honest. I am torn. I would give amazing 5 Stars to the Authors that made me go and buy their books right after I finished their short story (they are tagged), but because of the rest I feel like 4 strong stars is more justifying the whole set.

All the short stories give us glance on characters First Times. Some of them are funny, some a bit tragic, some amazingly beautiful and emotional, and some, for me, a bit rushed?

I may like panting, steamy scenes, but I like some emotions there also. Ok, I like a lot of emotions, and with some stories I didn’t get any. Like none. Nada. I even skipped some sentences as I wanted to be over with them.

But the stories I loved? OMG. They were full of everything. Panting scenes, emotions and made me fan myself constantly. And from the length of the stories you can see that Authors wanted to show a bit insight into characters, not only: bang, sex and yeah, move on to the next one.

Ednah Walters, Heather Hildenbrand, Melissa Haag, S.M. Boyce, Tamara Rose Blodgett, Bethany Lopez, Nikki Jefford, Julie Prestsater, Ginger Scott and M.R. Polish – Thank you for those beautiful and sometimes heartbreaking scenes!

Thank you to all authors for their hard work on this compilation as the whole set in general is really worth reading :)

I bought this anthology strictly for Melissa Haag's Judgement of the Six excerpt. Because that series is JUST THAT GOOD. Was it worth it? INDEED. (and it makes me want to go back and reread the series from the beginning again, so... SCORE!)

A quick and naughty look at Michelle and Emmit's first time. With Emmit in more danger than some of the others because of their lack of consummation (and because he's the son of one of the other Six), Michelle finally lets go of her fear and gets down and dirty with her wolf. It was sweet and sexy and absolutely perfect. *slow thumbs up*

For the record, I might go back at a later date (once I've read a few of the other series) to read other stories, but the nature of this anthology -- short scenes set in already established worlds with little to no time to catch a new reader up -- makes it hard to jump into any story I'm not familiar with. I definitely like the idea of excerpts and/or extended scenes that might be too racy for those reading the individual series and I like knowing there's additional content if I ever pick up the other series, but it's not happening now for me.

I absolutely love this anthology collection. A lot of people seem to have problems with sex in YA but I don't get it. Sex happens. And we only make it more taboo by not talking about it to teens.

This book is full of sweet first times, steamy scenes, and true blue love.

What I love even more about it, is that the characters are from larger works by each other. I really connected with a few of these characters (and some I already loved like Helen Boswell's). I'm able now, to head over to those books and read more about those characters.

I think this book makes a fantastic companion to these authors books for readers who want a more sensitive, personal insight.

I thought this anthology was done perfectly, respectfully, and edited fantastically.

I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun read, if you're looking for some Valentine's day fun, or if you have a curious teen.

Enjoy! I know I did.

First things first - I freaking LOVE this concept. I'm not always in the mood for a whole lotta graphic get down and break the bed loving, so I do read YA books in addition to the plethora of other things I read. I wasn't familiar with all of these authors, but I was quite familiar with a few and loved being able to read what went on "when the lights went out" so to speak. I think this is an amazing compilation and is such a great idea, especially to expand on the already present YA side and help make it more adult friendly. I was kind of worried about how some may play out, especially for authors not really into the more adult/erotic side of things, but they did a really great job with keeping true to the story lines and expanding on them further. I also loved the way we were able to see new author's works, which intrigued me to check out more of their series. Overall a great compilation that was well thought out and put together!

4 Stars!

If you have read these stories then this is the perfect addition to your collection. It is bonus scenes from some really great books.

My fave was the addition from KA Last! I loved the scene between Josh and Grace!

Each one is a hot little scene of losing innocence. Each one unique to it's own story! Each one is new! There is magic and monsters. There is a lot of panty melting goodness wrapped up in this collection. If you haven't read all the stories but are planning to then this is a great addition to your collection so that you get more of your favorite stories.

This is a must one-click!

Note: I was given a copy of this anthology in exchange for an honest review.

You might think the idea of an adult content anthology based off a bunch of young adult stories is problematic, given the primarily teenage audience of the originals. But given there are a lot of adults (myself included) who read young adult fiction, and that teenagers grow up, it actually works.

There's a huge variety of genres on display here within the young adult/new adult age bracket, so there's something for everyone who is interested in male/female pairings (sadly there were no LGBT encounters) -- so long as you want to read naughy scenes about folks' first times. It's also a great way to discover writers you might have otherwise not heard of.

My big regret with this anthology is that there was a certain amount of time pressure on me to read it, because these are the sort of stories that you want to read in isolation and savour rather than plowing through in one sitting. (Or maybe that's just me!)

Discovery (The Grimoire Saga) by SM Boyce. This one was intruiging. At first I thought it was set in a sci-fi universe, but it became apparent that it was parallel world thing. The male (I'm not sure man is the right word, though he has man parts), Braeden, spent a lot of time during his first, um, encounter, worried that he might shapeshift somehow and that bad things would happen. I kind of wanted to see what would happen next if he did!

Unrequited Death (The Death series) by Tamara Rose Blodgett. This is one of my favourite stories in the anthology. It is part of a near future urban fantasy series. There's just enough backstory that I could follow what was going on, it's long enough that I had time to get immersed into the story, and the main action between Tiff and John was realistic, sweet and hot, all at the same time. I'll be adding this series to my TBR pile.

His First Everything (Penny Black trilogy) by Stacey Wallace Benefiel. Another near future urban fantasy story, this one was over quicker than I'd like (often the case with firsts, I suppose!). The setting caught my eye, though, and I liked Penny, the female lead.

One Hour (Dirty Blood series) by Heather Hildenbrand. A paranormal story featuring werewolves, this one jarred a little bit for me. The writing was beautiful and the sex was steamy (lol), but the means by which Tara and Wes ended up together was bizarre. Maybe it'd make more sense if I'd read the books? Still, I enjoyed it.

Eternally Free (The Mythology series) by Helen Boswell. Another paranormal, this time with demons and something that is suggestive of vampires, but I'm not 100% sure about that. It didn't really matter, though -- the encounter was sizzling.

Jess and Giovanni (Stories About Melissa series) by Bethany Lopez. This is the first contemporary in the book, and although I love my spec fic, it was actually refreshing to read something where I wasn't trying to guess the supernatural angle. The sex was more realistic too -- no simultaneous climax, which is definitely a feature in a lot of the other stories. But it was still fun for everyone. Hooray for considerate male partners!

Wedding Night (Keegan’s Chronicles) by Julia Crane. This is an elvish urban fantasy -- a genre after my own heart. But I found it a little hard to get into, as the story picks up at the start of the wedding ceremony, and includes all the vows. It was interesting to see a story written from the male's perspective though. (Even the ones that are dual POV tend to switch to the female partner for the actual act.)

Suffering (The Tate Chronicles) by K.A. Last. This story is part of an urban fantasy series about angelic vampire hunters, and I was lucky enough to beta read it before Losing It came out. For me, it stands out because of the dark emotions that are part of the encounter. (The name of the story probably gives that away.) Not every first time is fireworks and passion. Regret is a real thing.

A Reunion Most Desired (Fragile Creatures) by Kristina Circelli. Another contemporary YA, this story tells of a late teens girl with an older man. Most of the stories so far have had more inexperienced male partners -- with the attendant consequences -- so I enjoyed seeing something different. And Caster is hot!

Love Spell (The Spellbound trilogy) by Nikki Jefford. A paranormal story containing witches, warlocks and a love potion (hence the name), this one is sizzling ... although I wouldn't want to be Gray when she comes back to herself after the potion wears off. Massive buyer's regret, I suspect...

To Love a Werewolf (Judgement of the Six series) by Melissa Haag. Saying this is a werewolf-y urban fantasy doesn't feel like I'm value adding much! I read from the author's bio afterwards that she usually writes sweet NA and that doesn't surprise me, as this is heavy on foreplay and fades to black on the actual sex. Still, that might be your thing!

Of Fire (A Dark Faerie Tale series) by Alexia Purdy. This is a fae fantasy -- again, I expect you guessed that -- and is also written from the man's point of view, which I found captivating. The only thing that bothered me is when he thought about his lady love as being pure, untouched by another. Maybe some people like that, but it gives me an icky feeling, because it suggests that once you've had sex you've been tainted.

Our Someday (The Double Threat series) by Julie Prestsater. A contemporary tale, this story was sweet but the balance felt a little off. There was no lead-in to the two characters going to their hotel room, but then there was a lot of looking back and introspection, even immediately before they had sex. The scene afterwards was good, though.

The Ultimate Prize (The Elsker Saga) by S.T. Bende. I've read a book and novella set in ST Bende's sweet NA urban fantasy world. It features the Norse gods, especially the very hot god of winter, Ull. This scene is actually Kristia dreaming of seducing her traditionalist boyfriend, and of him losing control. I was as disappointed as she was when she woke up!

The Release of Rae (Ovialell series) by Tish Thawer. I looked this series up on Goodreads and saw that it's an adult PNR series, which surprised me -- I thought the books this anthology draws on were all YA (with some NA, like Elsker). Still, this story was magical -- fae -- and sweet rather than sizzling. It felt more YA than some of the YA-inspired stories!

A Valkyrie's Song (The Runes series) by Ednah Walters. This UF/PNR had a decent introduction before the main event, which I've come to conclude from reading this anthology is my favourite kind of story. The encounter was magical, but I felt a little cheated by the memory loss at the end. That's a personal thing -- it feels like just about the meanest thing you can do to a character.

Fire Stone (The Cornerstone series) by Misty Provencher. The start of this story really, really reminded me of the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, so I was hooked -- far more by the setting and the events than by the sex, to be frank. Also, the prose was beautiful. I then spent ages reading reviews on Goodreads trying to find out more! Another for my TBR pile.

Selfish (The Waiting series) by Ginger Scott. A contemporary told from the point of view of a reformed jock with his quite timid new girlfriend, this is a really sweet look at a guy seeking to prove himself worthy of her. It's not my usual genre but is very well done.

Sealing the Bond (Forged series) by A.O. Peart. This story is a paranormal with a fantasy vibe. Unfortunately I couldn't get into this one -- there was too much backstory, largely expressed through sometimes stilted dialogue. Your mileage may vary, though.

Rosaline's Redemption (The Arotas series) by Amy Miles. Another paranormal romance (or maybe urban fantasy -- given the context it's hard to tell!), this story is told largely through flashback to a battle that feels medieval but may be set in the future. Ultimately it doesn't really matter, though. A combination of the setting and the encounter itself make this story stand out from the rest.

Adventures in Dating (Funeral Crashing Mysteries) by Milda Harris. This is a cute contemporary. I loved the narrator's voice -- at first I was a bit alarmed that things seemed to escalate from first kiss to touchdown in the space of one scene, but it all makes sense in the end.

Wolf Passion (The Wolf Trilogy) by M.R. Polish. There is one last paranormal romance / urban fantasy to round out the set. The scene was sweet, but I was a bit shocked at how naive the leading lady was about certain things, especially as she is apparently at least eighteen (if the blurb for the first novel in the series is to be believed). Still, her surprise was kinda adorable, and I had a genuine laugh out loud moment.

Final thoughts

One thing I've come to realise in reading this anthology is that I'm not wild about sex scenes where magic enhances the experience in an intangible way. Fangs, claws and wings are fine because they are solid things that I can imagine, but bursts of tingling energy -- on their own -- don't really do anything for me. That might be just me, though. :p

Losing It – A Collection of V-Cards is such an amazing idea! We get to revisit 22 Young Adult stories where the authors share with us something a little more rated-MA (mature)! Some of these series are completed and this was our first glimpse back into those characters lives! I absolutely loved reading more about my favorite characters and how they ended up “Losing It!” It was even a great insight into some stories I have never read before! Now that my appetite has been whetted I definitely plan on reading more from those authors as well!

Here are some thoughts on some specific stories included in the collection! 5-stars this collection is worth well more than $0.99!!!

A Valkyrie’s Song by Ednah Walters – reviewed by Sara Meadows:

This is a teaser based on Ms. Walters’ Runes series, all of which I have read. I will start by saying that I love Torin and Raine. Also, I hate Norns. Hate.

In this snippet, Raine, an elemental witch, is high on the magic she used to restore the forests that her Valkyrie boyfriend Torin ruined after a climactic battle. Raine’ magic-high and Torin’s despair translate to other desires and the pages that ensue are hot, hot, hot. As I mentioned, I love this couple; they are one of my all-time favorite paranormal couples and I am quite protective of their interests, so I was yelling at my Kindle at the conclusion of this story. Only Ednah could write an ending like this and not have me hate her! Raine and Torin have so much tenderness between the two of them, and that tenderness mixed with their humor and love is what makes me cheer for them over and over.

I can’t wait for the release of “Witches” to find out what happens next, especially to those damnable Norns!

“I needed her tonight. Needed her in ways she couldn’t possibly understand.”

“I was up to my eyeballs in this witchy shit.” Ha! I laughed out loud when Torin thought that.

“His cockiness didn’t fool me. He was hurting. I saw it in his eyes.”

Fire Stone by Misty Provencher – reviewed by Kelly:

I literally fell off my chair when I found out we were getting more from the world of Cornerstone by Misty Provencher! I am a huge fan of the series – every book is a 5-star read. So original, swoony and action packed!

Included in this collection is an epilogue of sorts for the Cornerstone series – events take place after Capstone (Conerstone #4) the final book in the series. We are recapped slightly on the final events of Capstone and then–boom–whisked away into the scene where Nalina & Garrett finally get down and dirty and make their bonding official. It was sweet and sexy and almost everything I ever imagined in my head, since we never got this scene in the books, even though there were so many times you just wanted to scream at them to DO IT ALREADY! LOL

The ending was still bittersweet because this little chapter only opened my brain back into the world of Cornerstone and made me want more & more! Thank you Misty for writing such a series that will always stick with me and be one of my favorites and for giving this adult the scene she always wanted between Nali & Garrett!

“Even so, I clung to Garrett just as tightly as he held to me. He was a distinct part of what made me what I am, and the one part that I never wanted to lose again.”

“I forgot how hard and smooth his lines are. Skin like velvet. His Amazingly smooth nose. But nothing could ever compete with the aphrodisiac of his smile.”

To Love A Werewolf by Melissa Haag – reviewed by Kelly:

This Losing It feature falls at the end of the events of (Un)Wise, book 3 in the Judgement of the Six series, however book 4, (Un)Bidden, has already been released, but does not outpace this chapter.

I have to say as swoony the actual books are I had no idea Melissa Haag had such steamy & smoking hot scenes in her head! I made the mistake of reading this chapter at work on my lunch break and I had to leave the building to compose myself. Pretty sure I was beet red! I knew Michelle and Emmitt were the smexiest characters in the series so far…their connection was hot from minute one, but I was so not prepared to be panting like a wolf after reading this!

I know as a reader of the series this scene is even hotter because you are emotionally wrapped up in these characters lives, but my blogging cohort who hasn’t read the books yet, read this scene and she too was loving it and now the books are definitely on her radar! But remember the books are YA and this story is definitely MA!

“He deepened the kiss and robbed me of reality. I sighed and wrapped my arms around his neck.”

“Emmitt pushed away from the wall, his eyes never leaving mine as he crossed the room to stand before me. He didn’t speak, just held out his hand.”

Discovery by S.M. Boyce – reviewed by Sara Meadows:

I have yet to read S.M. Boyce’s Grimoire series, though I do have the first book in my Kindle’s “To Be Read” collection. Everyone who has read these books loves them and after reading Discovery, I totally understand why. Alien races? Good son versus evil father? A war to end all wars? Yes, please!

The setting of Discovery is a cave nestled behind a waterfall, and Boyce’s beautiful, image-laden writing brings to life the location with ease. Kara and Braeden are spending what is apparently some rare downtime together, savoring their last quiet moments before the aforementioned war commences. And, when I say savoring, I mean savoring. Phew!

The awkwardness and teasing between Braeden and Kara was sweetly endearing. It takes Braeden three attempts to unlatch Kara’s bra, and I was thrilled to read that part because, damn it, sex isn’t always seamless. It’s nerve-wracking and inaccurate and giggly. And, for these characters, it was also quite satisfying!

I can’t wait to read these books and familiarize myself with these characters because I know that, as much as I enjoyed Discovery now, I will enjoy it that much more when I’m truly invested in the characters.

“Dapples of sunlight glittered across the cave floor, its beams flickering as water crashed over the stone entrance.”

“He’d never known love before her. And now, he would never have to live his life without it.”

Love Spell by Nikki Jefford – reviewed by Sara Meadows

Nikki Jefford is another author whose Spellbound series await in my “To Be Read” pile. I have to say that, out of all the stories in this collection, Love Spell was my favorite. It reads like a standalone story. The interaction between the main characters, Adrian and Gray, is snarky and sexy, and Adrian is just downright H-O-T, on fire hot.

Adrian and Gray are apparently enemies, though their relationship is fraught with sexual tension and resented desire. Seriously, aren’t the best relationships built on these qualities? In “Love Spell,” Adrian is at a bar, “surrounded by halter tops” and planning on how he’ll get the three girls inside of those halter tops back to his apartment, when in walks Gray. The Adrian groupies fade to nothing, as Adrian and Gray only have (sex) eyes for (sex) each other.

I enjoyed the interactions between these two characters, the flirting and the mystery. The writing was fun and effective; I could picture Adrian lounging against the bar, awash in female bodies, or leading Gray out of the bar hurriedly, in anticipation of what was going to happen next.

“Let’s be clear. I’m not bringing you home to trade tricks. Once you walk through the door I’m taking you straight to my bed. No nightcap, no chit-chat, and no pleasantries.”

Wolf Passion by M.R. Polish – reviewed by Kelly:

I haven’t read any of The Wolf Trilogy by M.R. Polish but after reading Wolf Passion I am positive it will move up my TBR list! I never felt lost while reading; this story felt complete however I was biting at the chomp hoping for so much more. It only scratched at the surface of the bigger plot that lies underneath this little sexy glimpse of Es & Ian’s relationship.

This story is definitely hot but also a little awkward then again that seems pretty accurate. Most first times are awkward right? Also, graphic. Definitely no fade to black in this scene! And when I say hot, it’s more like someone get me a fan hot, I need to cool down! Definitely looking forward to reading this series as the conflict that we glimpsed seems really cool!

“Looking into his eyes, I couldn’t imagine a better present than to be with Ian in my dreams.”

Losing It is a collection of chapters from various authors. Each chapter is either an extension, another point of view or, an addition to a previously written book. Each one of these written chapters is about the loss of virginity of a character and in some cases, the characters.

I admit, the first chapter I read was the chapter written by the author I was most interested in reading because I'd read all of her novels. Her chapter was the couple's first time from the other party's point of view. Because I read the novel, I didn't need set up or backstory. For the rest of the chapters, the backstory or set up worked sometimes. Sometimes, it simply didn't and there were some I simply couldn't read because I didn't know enough.

One particular chapter, if I had to guess, was the first time the author had ever written a sex scene or love scene. Because the use of language by the characters was immature and a huge turnoff. From the female character's point of view, being full of cheer because her boyfriend was rubbing her "boobs" blew the mood for me. I read the whole thing just to see how many immature terms for the human body were used. You buy it and read it to find out how many times that is.

Overall, it wasn't a bad idea for these authors to join forces to create this type of book. On the other hand, there are various reasons why it might not be for everyone. For example, some don't like various genres. This doesn't mean you won't like the book. In the case of one particular chapter, where one of the characters is a newly created vampire, I got interested in an author I'd never read before and will be interested in looking into reading that particular book/series in the future.

3.5 Stars!

I was given an advanced reading copy in return for an honest review.

Star Scale:
5 Stars: Excellent! Skip all of the other reviews. Run and buy this one. Right NOW!
4 Stars: Very Good! Read a few more reviews just to see that I'm right. Then run and buy it.
3 Stars: Good! If you waited to get it on sale or was able to get it through your local library, you won't exactly die without it.
2 Stars: Fair. Read more reviews. Maybe I missed something that most others did not. If there are more good reviews than bad, give it a go.
1 Star: Poor. Don't bother. It's simply not worth your time.

Losing It is an anthology full of all the sexy times that, for obvious reasons, weren’t included in the original YA and NA books from which they come. These stories are sweet and sexy and come from several different genres, including paranormal romance, contemporary romance, etc.

One of the things I enjoyed about Losing It is that not all of the stories are the perfect picture of romance. There are awkward moments just as in any real life “first time” experience. The humor and awkward moments make the stories feel more realistic than the stories that are more perfect romance based. I think most women can relate to stories of imperfect, if not somewhat embarrassing, experiences when it comes to not only the first time of having sex, but the subsequent encounters after that first time.

Losing It was a fun book to read, perfect for the time around Valentine’s day and anytime one is looking for something easy and light to read. Getting extra scenes from so many of the books we love is always a good thing and gives the reader new perspective into their favorite characters lives.

I recommend Losing it to anyone looking for something to sweet and romantic to read.

Mama's Thoughts:
You might be wondering what on earth we're doing reviewing a book about new adults participating in sexual acts...well I'm here to tell you this is not your average romance collection. Here you will find some fantastic authors offering sensual scenes with their beloved characters, from the supernatural to the second chances. A riveting read full of romance, Losing It! is a collection that showcases consensual relations between mature characters, something we can all get behind. Giggity.
My personal favorites, Raine and Torin from Ednah Walter's fabulous paranormal YA fantasy series Runes, have a wickedly wild scene with an ending to make you go "Argh!" #damnthosenorns

Then Kristia and Ull get a night of their dreams #boyhowdy

Another wonderful thing about a collection with so many writers is that there's a story for everyone. Whether you like sweet seductions or paranormal passion, you will find something scintillating to savor! 5 stars

This collection of excerpts gives you 22 different flavors of romance, all with varying degrees of heat. You'll find everything from the sweet cusp of first time love, to the spicy, got-to-have-you-now kind of moment, with even a little remorseful first time moments thrown into the mix. There are also several different genres included. Do you like the sweet YA or do you prefer to walk on the wild side of a more Paranormal nature for your romantic encounters? Anyway you want it, you'll get it.

This collection is sure to add a little steam to your life. You may want to make sure you have a lover or some extra batteries for B.O.B. handy before you start this one, because some of these authors really know how to burn up the pages! It really does have something for everyone. There were some stories that I preferred more than others, but I think it's because of my personal reading preferences. I found myself looking up books from a few authors that I haven't read before, and I am now looking forward to reading more of their books.

This is a bunch of shorts containing characters from popular YA/NA books losing their virginity or having sex together for the first time. Many of the authors are new to me, so I’m not invested in their characters. I will say that I was surprised by many of them. There are very few that are pretty straight forward. Many had plot twists, like dream sequences, stupid norns, or memories. They range in style from sweet it starts and then suddenly it is over and it’s glossed over. Others are pretty graphic in language, but not close to erotica. I wish I could say more, but really to do so would give away some if not all of the stories. I know that I have a LOT more books to read. I’ll be 100 before I complete them all, I’m sure. I also know that once I read one of the series and I get more invested in those characters, the particular story in this book would have more meaning for me.

What a great collection of stories!!! There was something for everyone. So many genres of stories from your favorite YA/NA authors!

It was really cool to kind of go behind the scenes, sort of speak, with these books. You get to see the story within the story. For me, personally, I have never read a book from some of these authors, but I'm a fan of them now!

Losing It involved so many different characters in all types of relationships and situations. But one thing that they had in common was they all turned in their V-CARDS! I loved seeing how each author told the story of their characters. Some were hot and steamy, and some were beautiful and sweet. A perfect combo, in my opinion!

I would normally write a short review for each story, but their is just too much goodness to share!! You need to read them all!

I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I did:)

Some of my favorites kicked up a notch!
Now here is a real gem! For those of us who already love & enjoy these characters & their stories there's nothing better than getting a glimpse of these never seen before behind the scenes moments...but kicked up a notch. I love reading series, & I had previously devoured several of these YA treats, so this brought me big smiles. What I wasn't expecting was to find a few more stories & authors that I now want more of. Whether you already know & love these authors or this is your very first taste of what they've got, I assure you there is something in here for everyone. http://www.amazon.com/review/R1VXBZTQ...

I loved everything about this collection! It's like a private peek into the love lives of some of our favorite characters from YA novels. While I haven't read all the stories yet, I can't wait to finish it! I'm only familiar with 3 of the authors in this collection, but some of the stories I've read so far have made me want to read more! I've added to my already humongous TBR pile.

These stories are short, sweet and to the point. But you also get little details that you didn't get from the novels. Dream sequences, Love spells, just a hidden moment that we didn't see in the book. They are fantastic! And most of them are not crazy detailed, so I wouldn't really call this erotica, but I would recommend being over 18 to read these.

I can't wait to dive into some new to me authors now!

What a fun and fantastic book!!! Inside this beauty, is 22 "snippets" from some of my favorite authors. Losing It, is about some of our favorite main characters and them... well.... losing IT, their virginity.
These extra scenes, I think of them like little easter eggs, or bonus scenes from the authors.

I loved reading these, even if I hadn't read all the books they were inspired from. It's sweet, awkward, loving and sexy all rolled up into one pretty purple package. Losing it is a great read and I highly suggest you get your copy today!

'I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review'

I really enjoyed it. This book is full of romantic scenes between characters from various books by various authors. Some of the books and authors I have never read but these little snippets made me add some new books to my wishlist as they definitely drew my attention enough to make me want to read more. There was only one that I had actually read the series and know who the characters were and Ioved it! I definitely recommend reading!
