Worlds are realigned on one winter’s night.

“The thunderous storm that he is intensifies and I'm about to beg him for this.”

The Ballerina
I've had plenty of practice being graceful, but he has my heart tripping over my pointe shoes. I've conditioned myself to rely on nobody else and I won't start now. I'll push back as hard as I can. However, he seems to be determined on pulling down the wall I use to separate myself from others. Removing myself from his vise grip just became excruciatingly difficult. The storm that follows this man—no, the storm that is this man—has given me more than what I’ve bargained for.

The Storm
The primal need I have for her is deeper than any I’ve experienced before. My world has shifted in more ways than one, and I’m not going to stand around and be held hostage where I don’t belong. The next move I make won’t be for anyone else but myself, and if it happens to bring my world to a screeching halt, then I’m not going to fight it. I’m determined. I want her.

This novel contains mature themes, strong language, and sexual situations. It is intended for adult readers.

If stars were ever aligned, they most certainly were during the writing of this book. And those stars were all sparkling bright pink!
This debut novel from J. Epps and S. Brummer is fantabulous! The characters are very original and have an almost palpable chemistry. Between their individual personality quirks and the combined animal attraction, this book is sure to skyrocket you into the pink heavens!
Twists, turns, drama, and heat. If you like one of this good. If you like them all, then this is the perfect package to treat yourself to.
As a lover of adult romance, I highly recommend this book to all those who are in the same boat as me. And to new adult romance readers, this is the perfect place to start.
Heather and Noah are sure to draw you into their world. And I guarantee you’ll never want to leave.

I give this book FIVE glittery, sparkly, shiny PINK stars!

Noah finds himself watching The Nutcracker on Christmas Eve and becoming completely captivated by the ballerina he sees on the stage. When his life begins to crumble around him, he takes a chance to go after what he wants, even if it means leaving Arizona and following his ballerina to New York.

Heather has had one dream her whole life, to dance. Devastated by the loss of her parents, her walls have kept most everyone out, but that is all about to change when she sees Noah. She can handle a fling, one that won’t risk her heart – but when feelings begin to shift, she’ll be forced to make some hard decisions.

I found myself struggling through most of this book. I was ready to DNF it at least three times and fought with myself, hoping that something would change and that I would be able to get to the end. Now, there were some aspects of this story that I did like. I think the overall ‘bones’ of the story were good – there was potential but for me, that potential was never capitalized on.

So here’s the deal.

Oh My. Sure, FSOG was not the first book to ever have those two words. But it is the book that most who read romance is going to immediately think of when you read it in a book. There were just too many of these scattered through the story.

Heather was trying to escape on former relationship where the guy was possessive, forceful and immediately shifts into a relationship with Noah where he’s demanding he owns her and she’s like, oh my, that’s hot... It just didn’t fit together. Heather’s character needed to be clear in the way that she was able to separate those two situations.

There were several times when some of the dialogue and writing just didn’t fit together. Often times there was an overuse of adjectives. Not every moment requires to be described in multiple ways. Now if this was just once or twice, it wouldn’t be a big deal – but it was on every page. There was a lot of addressing characters by things like “Sister” “Son” etc. Maybe it’s a regional thing, but it felt like these characters were aged by decades and transported back in time a bit due to change in tone as they joke with one another, then suddenly this awkward formal title is being tossed out there.

And I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but there was too much sex. Pointless sex. Sex should be part of the story – progress the story forward. But these two went at it like bunnies and sometimes fade to black works just fine when there was just a four page sex scene that proceeded round two (or five).

I’ll let you discover the whole peen thing for yourself...

In the end, it felt like there was a checklist of things that people like in books and it was all crammed into a book and a story was written around those things rather than the story being the focus. For me as a reader I think the part that got me the most overall was the lack of continuity in the voice of these two. I can deal with some of the cliché type things and often, I love those things... but if the character isn’t constant, I can’t connect. I needed the voices in Heather and Noah’s head to match the one that was in the dialogue. I needed their actions/behaviors to match that voice so that it felt like I was really getting to know them.

In the end, I finished mostly so I could see if something shifted, but unfortunately this one just wasn’t for me. This being a debut novel for these two, there is potential there for some great books to happen, but this one just had too much of everything tossed into it to make it work for me.

I don't even know where to begin with my review. I will start by saying this absolutely one of my favorite reads. It was absolutely amazing. It has everything I love in a book, great characters, an amazing plot, and a great love story!!
We meet Heather who is a ballerina for a company who is traveling with her company for a tour. She is coming off a bad so- called break up and has some other events in her life that make it hard for her to be close to people. While in Arizona during a show her eyes are immediately drawn to the "Greeh God" Noah!!
Noah What can I say about Noah besides swoon!! While taking his mom to the ballet for Christmas he is immediately intrigued by Heather and he wants her like he has never wanted anything before. But soon it feels like his life is falling out from under him. Can these two really have a happy ending or has too much tainted them and their relationship?
This book was amazing and I don't want to give too much away in my review, but it was HOT!! My lord there were times I had to remind myself to breath!! I loved the characters, Noah is amazing and everyone will want a Noah for themselves!! The secondary characters were funny and there were moments I was cracking up at some comments. This book is a perfect mix of some humor, great and hot chemistry, some drama and a love that leaves you actually rooting for them!
I would definitely recommend this book to everyone!! I can't wait for the next one and I am now the authors new #1 fan!! Don't think twice and grab It's A Date you will not regret it!!

Alright you better be ready for this story!! You have not read anything like this I guarantee it!! These ladies have taken an amazing story and spun it so so well I can't even believe this is a debut novel.
Heather Lane is a ballerina dancing her way to the top and into the heart of Noah Ryan aspiring lawyer from Arizona. One night can change both of them forever.......one chance meeting for the connection. Will they see each other again as she travels with her ballet company?
These two are explosive and like no other romance I have read. They both have had some tragedies in their lives, can they help each other heal and build from across the country?
You will just have to read this amazing story and find out.
I'm staking my claim on this book boyfriend ladies!!
I cannot wait for more from these ladies and where they take this story next. So so impressed and blown away by these ladies and their writing.
Emotions run wild in this story and you will pull your hair out, get teary, laugh, love and just enjoy the ride you take here. Shockers are in for you too.

This is their debut novel and it was amazing! I loved every minute of it! Heather and Noah are such amazing characters. The ups and downs these two go through in their lives before they meet and after they meet are unlike any other I've before.

Heather is a ballerina and Noah is a law student getting ready to take his bar exam. Noah gets the shock of his life and Heather gets an offer of a lifetime. The story is told from both POVs (which I LOVE) so you get to understand what's going through both of their minds.

This book made me laugh and at times I wanted to throw my kindle because of Noah and Heather.

I give this book 5 pink fucking stars!

Fantastic debut novel by two young authors. If you like romantic fiction, you're sure to love this novel. New twists on the usual romance formula make It's a Date unique, plus it's set amid the glamorous backdrop of the world of professional ballet. Noah Ryan is a hot, hot, hot alpha you're sure to pant after as much as Heather Lane does—just don't get him drunk. Stock up on Twizzlers and give it a read.

Have you ever heard of the saying "All it takes is one day to alter a life."? Well let me tell you that day is called "It's A Date". Mark my words January 15 will be a day you'll NEVER forget because it's the release date of this debut novel by J. Epps and S. Brummer. What can I say without giving you any spoilers or too much away? I want to tell you EVERYTHING about this book but I really can't. Let me give you something and hopefully this is everything to make you want to read it. I'm going to go re-read it soon, because it was just that good! I cried, laughed and screamed and shouted…that alone should say a lot!

First and foremost, have some candy ready. Heather Lane, the main character LOVES candy. For some reason I became addicted to it myself. Reading this book will do that to you. I think it had something to do with meeting Noah Ryan!:) Laugh at me all you want...you'll be in the same boat as me, because this Noah's Ark will make you fall deep! You will be soaked while drowning in his words, actions, and this book!

This happens when the calm and storm collide...

Meet. Noah. Ryan. He is cocky, protective and playful. "He kisses me, but it's not just a kiss. It's a blissful trust, heaven, and adoration. Kissing him is different. Storms brew beneath my skin with every kiss he places on my lips."

Meet Heather Lane.
Gorgeous. Funny. Calm.
"We're polar opposites, but fit perfectly together."

Meet these amazing authors and their debut novel. J. Epps and S. Brummer THANK YOU for writing such a great story. It's A Date will leave you wanting more. SO MUCH MORE! Heather describes this book the best when she says "I've never felt anything like that before." Mark it on your calendars and go one-click it now! Let me suggest a few handy items. Get comfortable in your house with loads of candy, cozy clothing, and a swear jar. Remember my suggestions. You might thank me later! I PROMISE they will be helpful. Hope to see you there. In the meantime, I'll be home re-reading with tons of candy, cozy clothes and swear jar.

WOW! This is a debut from two friends writing together for the first time. Again I say WOW! This book had it all...charm, romance, drama, heat and surprises at every turn.

It's A Date follows the journey of ballerina Heather and soon to be attorney, Noah. Theirs is a chance meeting at one of her performances with the help of Mae. Fate throws her hand in the mix and they run into each other again unexpectedly and then again. Those meetings seal the deal for Noah, he is going all in. Heather can't deny the spark and connection she feels to him, even though the events of her past make her wary to get involved. I absolutely loved Noah's sweet and vulnerable side. He had so much going on in his own life that he pushed aside to put Heather first. And Heather really came out of her shell. Her personality and charm glittered throughout the book.

I also enjoyed the antics between Heather and her two best friends, Dani and Dillen. Those three were hilarious to say the least. As were Coen and Joel with Noah. Those relationships provided the humor and lightness that other events in the book warranted. Poor Noah, my heart broke for him and his situation. I could feel how torn he was with what to do and wanted to hop into the pages and hug him. Same goes for Heather when she reveals the tragedy that mars her past. And the Valentine's Day date...sigh, perfection. I was so happy when they opened up to each other, I think I let out an audible sigh of relief. But the goodness doesn't stop there. Just when I think I've got it all figured out, BAM! Cliffhanger!

I can't rave enough about this book. The dual POV is flawlessly written; the transitions are seamless and really allowed me to tap into the emotions behind the actions. I honestly had no idea where the story was going next. I found myself furiously flipping the pages until there weren't any more and I wanted more. I have to know where Noah and Heather go from here. I absolutely can not wait for the next installment in this series.

I truly believe It's A Date is about 2 people who were missing something in their lives. They found that something when they found each other.

Heather a Ballerina and Noah a law student come together in a whirlwind romance that takes Noah across the US.

They meet while Heather was performing in AZ. Noah being from AZ had taken his adopted mother to see The Nutcracker. The minute Noah found Heather on stage there was this pull, this feeling of I can't let her get away.

Noah, Noah, Noah....what can I say about him? He is a ladies man. They all want him but he has a big secret and I mean BIG!!! Heather who can be shy at times lost her ability to speak when she was around Noah. Like her mouth and brain just didn't mesh LOL!

Noah's world was turned upside down and the one person who could even remotely make it better was Heather. I am telling you there is this connection with them. Heather could be in a bar with her girlfriends and in walks Noah and she would know. She could feel him. Yes there are many books like that but when Noah walks up and puts his hands on her she melts her world is complete with him in it. Noah feels the same way. He has this temper and his friend Coen knew exactly how he gets when he is drunk and in a stupor. However since meeting Heather all that changed. Noah changed for the good and Coen seen that.

The sex was hot and let me tell you there was a lot of it. This isn't just about the hot sex though, there is so much more to the story.

The more they are with each other the more they open up to one another. Believe me they both have things that need to be said more so Noah than Heather.

Without getting into to much details...I would so pick up this book in a heartbeat. Noah has now been added to my top 5 book boyfriends. He is an alpha male in every sense of the word. I can't wait to meet both of the authors in Oct at a signing I will be attending. Thank you ladies for Noah.

Now all we need is book 2!!!

What a different sort of romance story this turned out to be. At the start it was very typical but the more you read the more intriguing it got. Noah and Heather are people each with their own difficult pasts, but also with a need to live a fulfilling life despite all of this. Their first meeting is unconventional but beautiful, then as their romance carries on it gets so steamy!! We learn a few surprises in the bedroom area from Noah and what he has done in the past!! Seriously i have never read a book where that has occurred and how beautifully it was handled by the authors. This story is about Heather and Noah but i feel it belongs mostly to Noah as he has such a change come about him, Heather does too but not as much as Noah.

OK THERE COULD BE SPOILERS FOR SOME PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING THOUGHTS.

Unfortunately in romance novels there is rarely a HEA so easy to come by for the characters and Noah has a lot to deal with before he is ready to be with Heather. That said it was interesting to see Heather pull away from Noah and i have to say she had every right to do so. She has a life and plans and though she has found her love, maybe her one true love, but she has a life to live also. I am so behind the authors doing that in the story as it made a change instead of the female character always doing the chasing. And chase Noah does i again liked the fact that it was not an instantaneous i am coming to get you type thing, it was a journey for him as a character before he accepted he was ready to be with Heather.

For their first book, Jess & Sasha totally rocked it. The story they have written was fresh and steamy and I absolutely loved it.

Heather is a ballerina and Noah is in the process of taking the bar to become a lawyer. When his mother takes him to see the Christmas ballet Noah is drawn to Heather. There is such a sizzling chemistry between the two of them. It shakes them to the core and launches them into an epic love affair. Their path isn't without a few bumps along the way. My heart broke for Noah when everything he knows changes in an instant and makes him question who he is.

There are so many twists and turns through their story, but the constant that the authors beautifully weave throughout all of it is a sweet and sexy love. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I give It's a Date 5 hearts!

UGH let me just tell you guys that you need to grab this book ASAP and read the amazing story between Noah and Heather! Such an amazing love story that is steamy, sweet and just ooooh different from any other romance books I've read (you'll know why if you read... ;))

I give this book five glittery, unbelievably pink, stars.

I’ve been looking forward to reading this since I found out about it. We’re talking months of prolonged agony reading teasers and coded conversations from their beta readers, and growing more and more impatient by the day. As it turns out, some things really are worth the wait.

Heather Lane is a on the rise ballerina that steals the show every time she is on stage. That is no different the night that she steals soon-to-be lawyer, Noah Ryan’s attention. When he takes his mom to see the Nutcracker for Christmas Eve, one look at Heather is all it takes for Noah to know she is one of a kind, and when Heather notices him in the audience, something stirs deep inside of her. A chance encounter brings them together, but what happens when she has to go back home with her ballet company?

Told in both their points of view, this story is written in a way that makes you fall in love with both Heather and Noah. They’re written so perfectly that while they each have their secrets and their pasts that we don’t know about, can’t relate to, there is something about each of them that allows you to connect with both in a way that you feel what they feel with them, no matter what it is. You’re equally as shocked when you reach the “holy f*ck, I never in a million years would’ve seen that coming” moment that happens half way through the book, and believe me, you’ll know exactly which moment I’m talking about when you read it. And not more than a chapter later, you’re wheels start spinning again, and your heart bottoms out with another unexpected turn. The intense moments are perfectly balanced throughout the book with witty and comical thoughts and remarks, or with tiny details about the characters that make you laugh or sigh in awe at how cute and perfect one or both of them are.

And you don’t only love them. The supporting characters are just as awesomely written. Whether it’s Heather’s sister or her best friend and fellow ballerina, or Noah’s mom and his laughable, crass best friend, you can’t help but get drawn in and love them too. Just like you can’t help but hate the antagonists that leave you frustrated and wanting to scream.

This was a wonderfully written, great read and I couldn’t be any happier that it’s my first of the New Year. The barre has been set high for five star reads for me this year with “It’s A Date”; and now the impatience and annoyance at having to wait for book two begins.

Loved this amazing debut. I was sucked into to this book after reading the first few pages. The chemistry between Heather and Noah is scorching hot. The plot is very original and so good I had to finish this book in one sitting. It's a must read. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book to see what happens to these amazing character.

Noah is a law student just taking the bar. He meets this incredible girl and can't get her out of his mind. Just when he feels his life is looking up it all comes crashing down around him. Secrets are revealed and Noah questions his entire life. The only thing he knows for certain is Heather will always be his.

Heather is a ballet dancer who doesn't have time for love. She has a chance encounter and meets an amazing man who she is drawn to like no other man she has met. Fate steps in and gives Heather the chance of a life time. Will she follow her dreams or her heart?

It's A Date is a great read. I heard a lot of good things about this book before it came out. It looked good, so I had to preorder it. I was not disappointed.
Heather Lane is a ballerina. Noah Ryan is a law student getting ready to be admitted to the bar. They seem like their paths would never cross but they do. Noah takes Mae to the ballet and he mets Heather. He is instantly attracted to her and can't get her out of his mind.
Mae is Noah's mom. She saved him after he was abandoned in a New York city dumpster. I was really liking Mae. I thought that it was great that she took Noah in but then there is a crazy jaw dropping twist to that story.
Heather loves to dance and that is her main goal. Her feelings for Noah throws her off a little. She has some things in her past that have changed her.
It's a great story. The ending left me wanting more and I was glad to see that It's A Date was listed as book 1 which means we'll get more.

I really really fell in love with the characters in this story. Noah wasn't your typical man whore and he has a unique story ( no spoilers here). He is thoughtful and sweet with the hint of alpha ( that I hope comes out a bit more in the next book). I love that the story is set in a dancers world . The imagery was spot on and took me to all the places I knew they wanted me to go. I can't wait to see what unfolds in the next book. I'm intrigued and I will be impatiently waiting .

The story of Noah and Heather….where can I even begin?! This story had me hooked right from the first page. The characters were completely relatable and both came with their own baggage. I am still trying to figure out what Heather's background is. We learned a lot about Noah in this first book. I can say that it definitely left me on the edge of my seat…I laughed, I cried and I'm stumped…cannot wait for book #2. If you love romance, laughter and a good read, this is for you!

It's a Date the debut novel by J. Epps & S. Brümmer, is the prefect book to start the new year off with. From page one it's an attention grabber that you don't want to put down.

Heather Lane is what most little girls myself included dreamed of being when they grew up- a ballerina. Epps and Brümmer have done a great job developing their characters. They have you loving the ones you are suppose to and despising the awful ones. JSauthors did a fantastic job of portraying an amazing sisterly bond between Heather and Dani. You are able to tell that these two sisters have each other's backs and care deeply for one another.

Noah Ryan is a soon to be up in coming hot as hell attorney. His life seems to be a revolving door of hook ups and study books.

One cold winter's night it all changes for both Heather and Noah. Quick like lightening sparks fly between them. There is just something there that draws them to one another. Will Heather be another notch on Noah's headboard or is she different? Will Heather's dream of being one of the best stop her from what could be her one true look. Sit down and grab It's a Date to find out.

It's hard for me to believe that this is the debut novel from these two. The writing and story telling is beautiful. They paint the perfect picture of this story like you're a character in the book. This book is a roller coaster with all the twist and turns JSauthor take you on. One that I will read over and over again.

I give this amazing book 4.5 stars.

Very good book

I really enjoyed this debut novel. It was something a little different as for the plot. It had just enough steamy romance and some alpha male. I do love some angst in my romance novel. Can't wait for the next book.
