Brittany and Joe jetted off from New York to Punta Cana for their bachelor–bachelorette party weekend with three friends… 💍🌴✈️☀️

The villa that Brittany, Joe and their friends are staying in is a dream - the six-bedroom villa is covered in white marble, all the bedrooms have balconies, and there’s a private pool with a waterfall and a hot tub. That’s paradise, right?! 😍

Five of them end up stuck in the villa middle of nowhere with electricity out, no phone network, and no WiFi during the hurricane on their first night… 🌪️⛈️
There was a blood running down the white marble stairs from a locked bedroom… 🩸

Five of them… Each guilty of something different: a liar, a fraud, a cheater, an imposter… and a murderer… 🫣

Can you really trust the people closest to you? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’ve inhaled this book in a matter of hours - it’s soooo FRIGGIN’ GOOD!!!! 😍 Annnnd, that ending just destroyed me - what the heck?! 🤯💥

I typically love a locked in thriller with friends who start dropping one by one as weird things start to happen. The absolute horrible and unrealistic characters really lowered this rating for me.

The dialogue was so odd and didn’t fit with the story. Sometimes horrible characters works for a story, but this was over the top and it seemed like it was just thrown in there for the sake of it.

I did like the fact that the group was trapped in a house during a hurricane, it definitely was creepy! I also enjoyed the different POVs of the characters as well was the “Then” chapters. It really did make me want to read more.

All in all, I enjoyed some aspects of this story and some not so much.

After a slow start, this soon builds into an enjoyable storyline and plot.
It did keep me guessing, but each time, I suspected someone I was proved wrong.In the end, I had no idea at all.
The characters are strong and interesting, although I have to admit I didn't like any of them.
There are surprising revelations and twists leading to a final unexpected ending.
Very different and cleverly written.
