Daniela Murrays Book I Can Save Her, is a tightly wound psychological thriller that turns the quit beauty of Ouray,Colotado into a chilling trap. Murray excels at blurring the lines between safety and threats. There is a bleak, atmospheric descent into fear and obsession, and a reminder that some people are far more dangerous than they appear. She has you questioning Who you can trust from start to finish. I could not put the book down.

I can save her. Is Daniela Murray first novel. And if this is what Daniela is giving us. Readers we are in for a fantastic world by her. The plot was well thought out. Awesome characters each having their own personality. Dani is a young 27year old who has to endure abuse, trauma, belittling from her jerk of a boss Keller. He's basically a man with a small d**k so thinks been abuse gives him the right to feel great. One day Dani has had enough and records him abusing her. And demands 150000 to keep her quiet and leave the agency. Her best friend Ali has no idea the real reason why she's left as Dani has been ashamed all these years. She moves to Colorado for 6months to build her life back together. But boy does she find another type of abuse and trouble. Ones heart breaks for everything she's been through and going through. The town with so many secrets. But beautiful scenes captures Dani's photography eye. Dani gets more than she bargains for.
my favorite parts was when Dani says this to herself...
*I'm stronger now. Not because I trained or survived the shit storm that came my way, but because I'm done hiding and chose to fight for myself and trust Matt.
Trust isn't perfect. It's messy, painful, and sometimes downright f**ked up.'

More importantly, I chose to believe in myself. I believe that I am worthy of something good. Something real. I believe that I can be loved without being broken. I believe that I can save the scared little Girl inside me. If there's anything I learn thorough all of this, it's that I can forgive myself. I can give my inner CHILD THE LOVE SHE ALWAYS DESERVED AND I CAN SAVE HER. "
This last part made me cry as I can relate as a victim of abuse. You always feel not worthy. It took years the courage to pick up the pieces and live again. This novel will give others hope to carry on and fight for themselves.

Daniela I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next. May your writing journey grew from strength to strength. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this wonderful journey with you.

I Can Save Her is a gripping romantic psychological thriller that explores escape, obsession, and the long shadow of past trauma. The story follows Dani, a woman fleeing a controlling and dangerous relationship, who is trying to rebuild her life while staying one step ahead of the fear that follows her. When she collides with Matt, nothing is quite as simple as it seems, and the tension builds steadily as trust, truth, and safety are all called into question.

While the first couple of chapters took me a minute to get through as I settled into the pacing and characters, once the story found its footing, it completely pulled me in. Dani’s inner world is written with depth and authenticity—her paranoia, strength, and determination feel real, making her journey both emotional and compelling. That constant sense of unease kept me questioning everyone alongside her, which made the reading experience immersive and intense.

The storytelling balances suspense with moments of emotional growth and unexpected warmth. The small-town setting is vividly described and adds to the atmosphere, grounding the tension while allowing the characters room to breathe. The twists kept me engaged, and the pacing eventually made this a hard book to put down.

Overall, I Can Save Her is a strong debut with an engaging plot, solid character work, and a reading experience that becomes increasingly addictive as the story unfolds. I really enjoyed this book and would happily recommend it to readers who enjoy psychological thrillers with emotional depth and romantic tension.

From the very first page, I Can Save Her pulled me in and refused to let go. I could immediately tell this was going to be a suspenseful, addictive read, and it absolutely delivered. The story follows Dani, a young woman trapped in a controlling and dangerous relationship, as she chooses to escape her abuser and redefine who she is. Her journey toward self-worth, strength, and the possibility of real love is both emotional and gripping.
Dani carries her trauma and paranoia with her throughout the book, which left me constantly questioning everyone she encountered. That lingering sense of distrust made the story even more intense and kept me fully invested. The small town of Ouray, Colorado is beautifully described, and having been there myself, I was able to picture every scene clearly.
This psychological thriller was one of the fastest books I’ve ever read because I simply couldn’t put it down (sorry family—mama had to read). Daniella, I am so proud of your accomplishment with this debut novel. You’ve gained a fan for life, and I cannot wait to see where you take us next.

I'm gonna be honest, I applied for this ARC back in November so I had forgotten what the story was supposed to even be about, and I genuinely believe it added to the overall reading experience to go in blind. The beginning started off rocky for the FMC. And like I believe the author intended, I was suspicious of everything and everyone. I didn't like Matt when he was introduced. There was something off and predatory about his behavior. That being said, I absolutely ate this book up. At no point did I know where this book was going. It was so good I didn't want to put it down. Rarely do I read thrillers and feel the anxiety building within myself but this book was able to capture that. A little disappointed with Rhys's character development, I was rooting for him :( but everything came to the perfect close at the end. I really look forward to read more of Daniela's work in the future. She has a new fan out of me!

This book was an ARC provided by the author for free and I am leaving this post voluntarily.

I Can Save Her is a roller coaster of emotions, a story that pulls you in from the very first chapter. The book follows a young girl, Dani, trapped in a dangerous, controlling relationship (with her abuser) and her journey to self love, empowerment and actual love. This story unfolds with intense emotion, unexpected twists, and a deep look into loyalty, trauma, and the hope of second chances.

This book blends suspense with raw, and realistic emotion. You’ll feel every moment of fear, frustration, and determination right alongside the characters. Their bond feels genuine, and the stakes are high enough to keep you turning pages.

If you love emotionally charged, suspenseful romances with characters worth rooting for, a lot of thrills, this book is absolutely a must-read. I can’t recommend it enough.

Whew! That was a wild ride! Definitely didn’t know where the story was going or how it was going to all play out - it had me guessing right up until the end and even then I wasn’t so sure.

The author’s ability to set the scene, made me feel like I was right there watching it all unfold.

It was like “Corrupt” meets “Keep It In The Family” with maybe a sprinkle of “Hidden Pictures” maybe even a little “Yellowstone” thrown in.

This is the author’s first novel. I can’t wait to see where she takes us next.

This book had me hooked from the first chapter. I didn't want to stop reading.
The vibes were chilly and mysterious which kept me guessing throughout.I look forward to reading more of this author's books.

I gave it 4.25 stars because I found the characters annoying at times. Daniella for someone whose been abused was stupid trusting (which was the point sure but she made me so angry at times).

I also felt icky with Matt while Rhys was just okay.

I CAN SAVE HER is a roller coaster ride of a debut novel from Daniela Murray! I was hooked from early on, the twists and turns had me constantly second guessing, not trusting anyone. The setting is a beautiful backdrop to a twisted reality. Dani is relatable and I was rooting for her throughout the story. There is a very intriguing love triangle, secrets, and deception. A solid 4 stars! I will look forward to a sequel if one is planned 👀

Great story! The story and characters pulled me right in, I really liked the FMC. The build up to the plot twist was great, not going to lie I was not liking Matt so it sure fooled me. There was even some parts that had me laughing. Then I was like so who is the bad guy in this, I cannot tell. Who is lying? What is everyone hiding? Had many theories of how it was going to go, I was definitely surprised. Very little spice, this is a great palate cleanser after reading something super unhinged 😉 Very well done Daniela Murray! Can't wait for your next book!

One day read because I could not put this book down. Even contacted the writer! Because WOW! Dani is so strong to go through all she has and continues to face after she left her world behind. I didn’t know if I even liked Matt in the beginning. But I have grown to love their story. If you are looking for a great read, not a lot of smut, but a TON of thriller, this is so worth reading! ****Please read the triggers before starting this book as it does contain dark material.****

This book hooked me from the start. I loved the author's style of writing and the way she weaved her story together. It's full of surprises throughout the entire book. The ending won't be what you think. It's a very clever twist that makes you love the characters even more - at least I did. The creativity to the ending is something I haven't read in a book for a while. I absolutely recommend this book to anyone who loves to keep guessing.

This book was so suspenseful! It was sad, funny, bold, awkward, spicy, scary, and relieving. I felt deeply for the characters! The imagery was so beautiful that I googled the city IRL. The spiritual retreat scene was so powerful and healing! The writing was smooth, and the plot twists kept it super interesting. The idea of choosing a city to live in, and a house, and what you want in your furnished rooms, is SO APPEALING! The storyline was original/unique and there were lots of specific details that kept me alert. A book with no boring parts?? ✅

I received an ARC of “I can save her”. Overall I really enjoyed the story telling. I wish it was more thriller focused. The scenes between the “love” interests seemed very rushed. I just am not a fan of books where all the men can’t keep it together because the MC is just so beautiful. With that being said I still give it 4 stars. I like Daniela’s writing style as a whole.

Like Frieda McFadden type twists! I couldn’t put this book down except when I had no choice. This debut book for Daniela Murray is amazing. And I can’t way to see more she brings to the coffee table!

I Can Save Her is a gripping, addictive romantic psychothriller that pulled me in from the very first page and refused to let go. For a debut novel, this book is shockingly confident- dark, emotional, and unsettling in all the right ways!!

The tension builds steadily, blurring the line between love and obsession in a way that feels both intimate and terrifying. Just when I thought I understood where the story was going, it twisted… again and again. The psychological elements are layered and smart, keeping you questioning motivations, truths, and just how far someone will go under the guise of “saving” the person they love.

The romance adds an extra edge, making the stakes feel personal and raw rather than just thrilling. It’s the kind of story that lingers in your mind long after you’ve turned the last page, leaving you replaying moments and realizing how carefully everything was woven together.

If you enjoy dark romance, unreliable characters, and psychological thrillers that mess with your head, this one is a must-read. I flew through it and immediately wanted to talk about it… which is ALWAYS the mark of a great book. An incredibly strong debut, and I cannot wait to see what this author does next.

This is the first time reading a book by author Daniela Murray. . I have to say it was masterfully written. From the first page the book keeps you guessing till the very end. Dani short for Danielle is an amazing character. It was like a cat & mouse game on who to trust and who not to trust.
Dani wants to start over and forget her terrible past. An ex boss that abused her. Dani decides to move and try to start over. A new man Rhys that makes her heart beat fast & then there is Matt who is hot one minute and cold the next. Women who go missing and are never found. It all ties into a wonder written story that I couldn’t put down.

I really think this book has a ton of potential. I think that the overall plot of the story is great, but some of the characters and details lacked believability for me.

There were big, shocking reveals that had already been revealed earlier on in the book, so they didn't feel as "twisty" to me as a reader. This happened at least twice as it pertains to a certain character and where they live and work.

It also felt like some of the character relationships were not totally believable to me, like how an estranged cousin and his contact information would have to be tracked down, goes on to become a best man in the wedding. Or how one character can display so many walking red flags in every scene, to just having them ignored the next second, but he is still the better match. It made the scenario with the other potential interest and what caused him to be cut off from his chance seem a bit extreme. Even though I did not care for said former character, I felt bad that she kept putting him in the friend zone whilst clearly on a nice date with him.

I promise I am almost done with the cons for me! But I am sorry, WHO mistakes panties for cash?!?! HAHAHA I think it was funny, but also not entirely believable for me.

All in all I liked the story, and most of the characters, I liked the journey to find herself after trauma, and I liked most of the twists.

I think it has potential for being a 5 star book, but there were just too many frustrations in the story (and some formatting that I hope will be fixed by the publishing date), that kept it from being that overwhelmingly, amazing book!

Dani has just moved across the country to escape a powerful man. She's expecting to have a fresh start, but she quickly finds herself tangled in a web of lies when she crosses paths with a handsome stranger.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this book and I just want to thank Daniela Murray for trusting me to read and review this book early! I Can Save Her is classified as a romantic psychological thriller about escape, obsession, and past secrets. There are some trigger warnings that the author discusses at the beginning of the book. Of those triggers, the most prominent one is rape and SA. These are not discussed in gruesome detail, the author did a wonderful job at handling these scenes gently, while still giving enough detail to add to the story.

With all of that being said, this book was excellent! I read it in a day because it was impossible to put down. It hooked me from the very beginning and kept me interested the whole time. The chapters were relatively short, so it was easy to take breaks when I needed them. I also enjoyed how towards the end we get the story told from another POV, that really helped understand that persons character a little bit more. This was a touchy story to tell, but the author followed Dani's personal growth beautifully. There were some twists and turns along the way and the ending was definitely not what I was expecting. I highly recommend this book, and trust me when I say that you're going to want to start it on a day that you don't have anything to do because you won't put this book down until you're done!

From the opening pages, Daniela Murray draws readers into Dani’s desperate attempt to escape a dangerous past, only to place her in an equally unsettling present. The story unfolds with careful pacing, steadily layering tension, secrets, and psychological complexity. The dynamic between Dani and Matt is particularly well done intense, unpredictable, and emotionally charged keeping the reader questioning motives and loyalties until the very end.
Murray excels at blending suspense with emotional depth. The twists feel purposeful rather than shocking for shock’s sake, and the looming sense of danger remains constant throughout the story. What truly elevates the novel, however, is the unexpected humor woven into darker moments, which adds authenticity to the characters and balance to the narrative.
As a debut, I Can Save Her is impressive in both scope and execution. It’s a confident introduction to an author with a strong voice and a clear command of tension-driven storytelling. Readers who enjoy psychological thrillers with romantic elements, complex characters, and an undercurrent of obsession will find this book thoroughly engaging and hard to put down.

Okay, here's a book review for a thriller with plenty of plot twists:

"I Can Save Her" by Daniela Murray is a twisty thriller that keeps you guessing until the very end. The protagonist, Dani, seeks refuge in the quiet town of Ouray, hoping to escape a past riddled with secrets. Murray masterfully crafts an atmosphere of suspense from the start, hinting that Dani's past is not something she can easily outrun.

As Dani settles into her new life, strange occurrences begin to disrupt the tranquility of Ouray. Stone skillfully weaves together a web of interconnected characters, each with their own hidden agendas. Just when you think you've pieced together the puzzle, a new twist emerges, sending you down another rabbit hole.

What sets "I can Save Her" apart is Murray's ability to misdirect the reader while still providing subtle clues. The shocking reveals are earned, making for a satisfying reading experience. If you're a fan of thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat, "I Can Save Her" is a must-read!!

I Can Save Her pulled me in almost immediately with its mix of suspense and emotional tension. Dani feels real from the start, someone running not just from a dangerous past but from the fear that it could catch up with her at any moment. The story does a great job of keeping you uneasy, especially as Matt enters her life and it becomes harder to tell whether he is a protector or another threat.

What I appreciated most was how the book balances its darker themes with moments of humor and genuine connection. The twists are well timed and kept me guessing without feeling forced, and the psychological tension builds steadily rather than relying on shock alone. For a debut novel, it feels confident and emotionally grounded. If you enjoy romantic thrillers that lean into obsession, trust, and the weight of the past, this is a solid and engaging read.

I Can Save Her is a fast-paced and gripping thriller that completely kept me on my toes. The story pulls you in quickly, and just when you think you know where things are going, another twist hits many of which I truly did not see coming.

The writing style was one of my favorite parts of this book. It flowed effortlessly and made it easy to stay fully immersed in the story. The pacing was tight and engaging, making this a difficult book to put down.

The characters felt complex and morally gray, which added to the tension and overall intensity of the story. This book tackles heavy themes with care while still delivering a suspenseful and twist-filled reading experience.

If you enjoy thrillers that are emotionally intense, fast moving, and full of surprises, this is definitely one to add to your TBR. A strong and impressive debut.

I had the opportunity to read this as a beta reader, and overall I really enjoyed the story. It was gripping and kept me guessing the entire time, I was constantly on edge and unsure of who to trust. Daniela did a wonderful job with the worldbuilding, creating an atmosphere that felt immersive and easy to step into.

For a debut novel, this was an impressive and engaging read. The characters were intriguing and layered, and while there were a few moments where I personally might have approached situations differently, those choices didn’t take away from the intensity of the story. The ending was especially surprising. I’m very much looking forward to seeing what Daniela creates next.

I Can Save Her had me from page one literally. The tension and romance twist together so perfectly that you’re constantly guessing who’s lying, who’s hiding something, and who you can actually trust. It’s the perfect mix of having you on the edge of your seat suspense and those emotional pulls that keep you rooting for the characters then hating them. Daniela Murray knew exactly what she was doing with this one, it’s soooooo addictive, twisty, and honestly impossible to put down.
