The Raven's Requiem

Rate this book
Noelle Archer is desperate to escape her ex-husband, so when a chance encounter at a concert offers her a way out, she seizes the opportunity. But that means working for Celeste St. Clair, the enigmatic and commanding lead singer of To The Grave, as she tours the country. Celeste, also known as The Raven to her fans, is more than just a performer, she’s a magnetic force, drawing people into her orbit. Noelle is no exception.

As the tour unfolds, Noelle’s attraction to Celeste intensifies, but it’s not just her beauty or talent that pulls her in. There’s something darker at play. Celeste’s dominance is undeniable, and Noelle feels herself drawn deeper into a world of seduction, obsession, and danger. The lines between passion and professionalism blur as Noelle finds herself unable to resist the growing pull of Celeste’s control.

Celeste doesn’t do relationships and she certainly doesn’t fall in love. It always ends badly. But there’s something about her new assistant that captivates her, more than just her looks. Beyond Noelle's sweet and bubbly exterior, there's a woman who is wearing a mask. The closer Celeste gets, the more she sees that the woman she's falling for has secrets she's working tirelessly to keep buried.

When outside threats force both women to confront what they're keeping in the dark, only one question who is truly in control?

Amazing opportunity to ARC read for this author once again, and lord she never disappoints. After reading The Pact & The Promise, a reverse haram duet, I went in blind to this book. Didn’t even bother reading the blurb, just knew I wanted more from her. I wasn’t expecting a rockstar sapphic romance, and even though it’s not what I usually read, I’m 100% glad I did. The tension and the relationship that builds between Celeste and Noelle is chef’s kiss! Celeste is a badass, the way she’s described, she sounds gorgeous as hell. Despite Noelle’s abusive past, her submissive side to Celeste’s dominance grows to be a beautiful relationship. Helena Sage, of course, always has some suspense in her books and she’ll get your heart racing in more ways then one as she always has spice sprinkled in too 😘

When I read the blurb for this book, I was instantly intrigued by multiple parts of it.
The lead singer of a band; sing me up.
Escaping an ex-husband; sing me up.
Someone who is a little afraid to love (again); sing me up.

Save to say I went into this book with a lot of expectations, and oh boy were they met.

Both main characters are written so beautifully and powerful in their own unique way.
Both are full characters, have their own personality (apart from each other) and evolve throughout the book.

Even the side/support characters were given a lot of attention, and had their own story running. Stories that weren’t necessarily linked to the main characters.

As far as the setting goes, the whole being on tour part was the best setting to place this story in. It was explained just enough to understand what was going on, without it becoming too tedious.

The story itself was… A lot, in a good way.
I loved how they dealt with everything regarding both Noelle’s and Celeste’s past.

This is as far as I will go, just to make sure I don’t spoil anything, but definitely go read it.
I read the book in 2 sittings (in one day) because I was just unable to put it down.

Thank you Helena Sage for the ARC!

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a delightful find thanks to tik tok. This is the first sapphic story from this author, so I was a little apprehensive going in...but she knocks it out of the park. I hope she continues this series as a sapphic series, because there are definitely characters I want to see find their happily ever afters if possible. Actually the main negative I have for this book is that the majority of side characters are flat and never get a chance to truly shine. The ones that do though are great.

Celeste and Noelle were a delightful, toxic af pairing that was fun to read. You don't get the full scope of the toxicness of both of them until the end. They manage to stay away from each other for the first half of the book, and then there is constant leveling up of their romance. There is the lightest dusting of kink in this book, but not as much as the author seemed to be advertising in her tik toks. Still pretty good though. The thing I loved about this book is that she doesn't just focus on the physical aspect of their relationship. She takes pains to develop the emotional connection as well. You can feel them falling in love, not just lust.

Another point in this book's favor is the lack of third act breakup. There are several instances where it would have happened for anyone else, but they actually talk and grow as individuals and become closer. It's a breath of fresh air.

I was so excited to jump into another book written by this amazing author, and my goodness I was so glad I got the chance to arc read this. It really did not disappoint.

This sapphic rockstar book seriously had a hold on me, I couldn’t put it down once I got into it. The characters, Celeste and Noelle, are what did it for me mostly, they were both so captivating and I was so drawn into learning about them as the book progressed. Learning who they were individually - all their pasts, fears and hopes. Then their slowly growing obsessive dynamic together also. They had so much longing and tension between them. The boss x employee trope was so well done here. The perfect amount of spice too? *chefs kiss*

The plot was full of steadily growing suspense, in true Helena Sage style. It has an intensity that had me on the edge of my seat and highlighting little snippets knowing it could be important later on. I loved the setting and pace of this too. The hectic nature of being a lead singer on tour was easy to imagine with how this was written and yet the routine nature of it never felt repetitive. And the atmosphere surrounding these characters, it was intoxicating with its darkness and obsession.

This book had my bisexual self wanting to live the life of these two characters. The tension between these two characters were so tense, spicy, suspenseful, and had you on the edge of your seat! At some points I had to give myself a break because it was just so overwhelming in the best way possible! I haven’t read a book this good in a very long time and I have so many bookmarks, so many quotes highlighted like this book is eye-opening on so many levels!
It has a perfect amount of sexy time, it has the perfect amount of character development and thought processes and learning how to let go and just live life for yourself. Once you have this book in your hands, I promise you you’re going to have a hard time putting it down even if your face is red and your body is feeling things that are intense 🤭
The fact that I could find myself and parts of my real life, within every character of this book shows how much talent this author truly has!!! I wish I could give this book more than five stars because this is a book I can never forget and a book that helps you realize that sometimes you have to let go and just let the universe take control!!!

Thank you so much to Helena sage for allowing me to receive a Beta/ARC of this novel. Unfortunately life with a newborn got the best of me so I was not the quickest to read this one but I still thoroughly enjoyed it!

The chemistry between Noelle and Celeste was great and sexy to read! I also loved the mystery aspect with who the potential stalkers could be which I loved.

I am very glad you added the additional chapter after the beta readers gave feedback as it was a nice transition to the ending.

Tropes:
Reverse harem
Rockstar romance
Boss and employee relationship
Stalking
Mic play

Rockband, suspense and intense moments, traveling on the road with the main characters and supporting characters that are made to be just as important is fantastic! I love when the character main and supporting are all characterized so well that you don't forget them in any parts of the book. Noelle and Celeste are great together but how they are individually is amazing to see come together. I loved how they dealt with past traumas and problems and this will have you wanting to read it non stop!

ARC gifted by the author — thank you for trusting me with this story.

This book was everything I wanted… and somehow nothing like I expected.

At its core, The Raven’s Requiem is a rockstar romance between a larger-than-life musician and her assistant—but calling it just that would be doing it a disservice. The vibes are dark, obsessive, and intoxicating. Think Sleep Token energy meets Haunting Adeline—but with a twist so big and so well-executed that I genuinely did not see it coming.

I was hooked from the start. The tension simmers, the atmosphere is heavy and immersive, and the emotional pull kept me glued to the pages. Every interaction feels charged, layered with longing, control, and devotion in a way that’s both unsettling and irresistible.

The obsession in this book? Absolutely delicious. It oozes from every page—slow, deliberate, and consuming. Just when I thought I understood where the story was headed, Helena Sage pulled the rug out from under me in the best possible way.

This is one of those books you don’t want to put down because you need to know what happens next.

✨ The Raven’s Requiem releases December 19th, 2025 — and if you love dark romance with intensity, power dynamics, and unexpected turns, you’ll want this on your TBR.

but i don’t want sanity if it means losing her. commit me. lock me up. toss the key. i will gladly live out the rest of my days in this asylum to be in her presence.

this book made me believe in the possibility of finding love; i don’t think it’s written in the stars for me, but this story made me wish it was, made me hopeful and even excited for a connection. i saw too much of myself in both protagonists and it hurt, god did it hurt to be seen by them. their story reached me at a time where i needed it the most in my life without knowing i was missing it. that tarot reading scene is one of the most consequential scenes i’ve ever read, it was so touching and impactful, more than anything i was changed by it. to be a woman and be guided and supported and uplifted and cherished and love by another woman to such lengths, there’s no higher level of understanding. yes, i was moved by the lyrics and the gothic atmosphere of it all. yes, the frantic pacing of tour mirrored and added to the tension. but that plot twist? it wasn’t unexpected in the way that i had a feeling, but it gave new meaning to the entire relationship. matching girl obsessed, scheming and stalking, on top of rockstar sapphic romance, no wonder this is a new favorite of mine.

* i was sent an arc by the author in exchange for an honest review
