Naturally: How to Look and Feel Healthy, Energetic and Radiant the Organic Way

Rate this book
Jo Wood was inspired to start eating organic food after a bout of illness—and the change in her health was dramatic. She became fascinated by the subject, gradually moving to a totally organic lifestyle, and today is healthy, beautiful, and brimming with vitality. Here she explains the huge benefits of eating organically and describes the diet that brought herself and her husband back to health, with organic recipes from pumpkin soup to barbecue pork chops to ginger beer. She details the chemicals, some thought to be cancer-causing, that are used in cosmetics and household products and absorbed through the skin, and tells the reader how to find organic alternatives. She also includes recipes for making scented oils, drawing on the knowledge that lies behind her own organic beauty range. Mixing Jo's own story with practical advice, recipes, and tips, this delightful book shows that organic does not have to be boring. Anyone who cares about the health of themselves or their family will find much to inspire them.

A well set out way to help people ease into greener living, with the focus on eating locally produced, seasonal foods. Part cook book, part biography, part business plan. I love it.

For some bizarre reason this was shelved in the business section, so I thought it was going to be all about starting a company, but there's only a few pages on that. The rest is advice on being organic. She does acknowledge that it's easier for her because she has money, but what she doesn't acknowledge that is that if we really care about the environment, the greenest thing we can do for this planet is to NOT HAVE CHILDREN!!!
