Selon les sensibilités et le vécu de chacun, les histoires résonneront plus ou moins, mais elles sont tout de même toutes plutôt mignonnes, chacune à sa façon.
Mais en tout cas, une chose est sûre, les dessins sont tous aussi MA-GNI-FI-QUES les uns que les autres.
Dans le détail, pour ma part, j'ai été plus touchée par Sophia, et j'ai aussi beaucoup aimé la simplicité de Date with a cat in Dubrovnik ainsi que Les oreilles de fée. Petite mention spéciale pour Milles feuilles au quotidien qui se passe de mots et permet de profiter d'autant plus de la beauté du dessin.

This fascinating manga is actually a series of oneshots spanning through a great variety of genres and settings, as well as varying in tone and atmosphere. Senbon Umishima is a fantastic author, definitely praiseworthy for both their drawings and storytelling.
My absolute favorite is the story of Sofia, a robot dog, and her owner, set against the backdrop of war-torn destruction. The sincere affection that unites the two protagonists, driving them to a relentless search for one another, melted my heart and brought warm tears to my eyes. Sofia isn't a "flesh and blood" animal, but the feelings she experiences and conveys are profoundly human. It's impossible not to be moved!
Another story I feel it's noteworthy is that of the writer and the violinist, told without a single line of dialogue, but entirely through images. In my opinion, Senbon Umishima's mastery of conveying the characters' feelings and dreams through her own writing makes this simple story a true gem.
Furthermore, this volume features two witches who are complete opposites. One is Helen, who deserved the cover (and the title!), and who is at the center of a dark, mysterious story that quickly descends into creepiness and horror. No one is going to hold your hand through this. The pace of this story is fast and suffocating, mirrored by the closed-off, eery setting of the mansion where the boy and the maid stay, conducting an apparently normal and uneventful life. However, the author drops significant hints that something is off from the very start, until both the boy and us are inevitably forced to see the horrific truth. The horrible sight of Helen bathed in the blood of her enemies is both unsettling and painful, as we understand that the "time loop" they're trapped in is her punishment but also her choice, born out of her desire to go back to the peaceful days before the tragedy.
On the opposite end to Helen, the next-to-last story introduces us to a charming, good-natured witch, who helps a young musician befriend the fairies who have gifted him special ears so he can hear their voices—a story full of tenderness and charm that definitely won my heart, and healed me a little after the turbolent development of Helen's story. I throughly enjoyed the boy-witch dynamic and the way the author pictured the magic happening in the story. Definitely my jam!
The collection opens and closes, in a perfect circle, with the day of Ako, a little girl with untamed curly hair who finds her smile again with the help of her older sister and a cute hair clip, and the volume features many other equally lively and light-hearted stories—Yururi, the mermaid who struggles to fit in on land but discovers a precious connection with a sea-loving boy; Jila and the painter who gives her the courage to express her passion for dance; the lonely woman who is guided and comforted by a stray cat in Dubrovnik; and the sweet story of two childhood friends who maybe like each other.
All in all, this manga is a gem, and a highly recommended read for all those who love Senbon Umishima. And for those who haven't read anything of them yet: Do yourself a favor and pick up this collection, you won't regret it 😉

Stop, on arrête tout ! Énorme coup de cœur pour ce petit recueil d’histoires tout simplement sublimes !
Nous allons retrouver dans ce one shot, une dizaine d’histoires diverses et variétés, toutes tournant autour du sujet de l’acceptation de soi.
Les histoires sont toutes aussi belles les unes que les autres ! Autant de par le style graphique, que par le récit. Malgré le fait qu’elles soient toutes courtes, nous nous attachons très vite aux personnages. Par conséquent, toutes les histoires m’ont touchée !
Faites attention et surveillez bien chacune des pages présentes, car certaines contiennent même un double sens ! 😉
C’est simple, ce titre m’a donné un boost de confiance en moi en le lisant. Il véhicule un beau message sur l’acceptation de soi, de ce que l’on est, à la fois physique et psychologique. Nous retrouvons même une histoire sans texte, seules les images nous guident et nous berçons.
En bref, c’est un titre qui vaut clairement le détour. J’ai vraiment été surprise d’apprécier autant ce one shot. C’est une histoire qui mérite d’être lue par un maximum de personnes ! 🙂

C’est un recueil de neuf nouvelles. Toutes du même auteur Senbon Umishima ; c’est bon de le préciser parce que j’ai cru qu’il y avait plusieurs mangakas tellement le style de dessins peut être différent d’une histoire à l’autre.
Il y a cependant une constante du début à la fin : les illustrations sont splendides. Le character design des personnages est beau, mais surtout ce sont les textures qui m’ont plu. Je me suis perdue dans les détails que ce soit les vêtements, les décors, le mouvement des cheveux et des corps,…
Chaque nouvelle a éveillé des émotions en moi.
Ce fut une lecture extraordinaire que j’ai pu lire d’une traite. Y en a pour tous les goûts et on ne sait jamais à quoi s’attendre dans le récit suivant.
C’est un coup de cœur pour ce manga.

Quá trời cái art đẹp điên. Tổng hợp nhiều truyện ngắn mỗi truyện 1 vibe mà đều rất ổn. Mê nhất cái truyện không lời và truyện về Sophia. Ôi art đẹp là 1 điểm cộng quá lớn ✨🫶

Appena finito di leggere questa deliziosa antologia di nove racconti che spaziano tra generi diversi, horror, fantasy, sci-fi, ecc., alcune sono storie d'amore, altre di magia e quotidianità. Una sirena che cerca di fare amicizia; uno scrittore in pieno blocco ritrova ispirazione grazie a una violinista (tutta illustrata, non ci sono dialoghi!); un cane robot alla ricerca del suo padrone durante una guerra (ho pianto per un robottino, capite?!); un gatto che mostra Dubrovnik a una turista ecc. Questi sono solo alcuni dei miei racconti preferiti.

Ce petit recueil a tout de suite attiré mon attention de par sa couverture. Je la trouve incroyablement belle. Bon on ne juge pas un livre à sa couverture mais bon faut pas nier qu’on le fait tous! Mais ici vraiment le couverture est vraiment sublime. Il me tardait de découvrir toutes ces petites histoires! Le résultat fut sans appel: cette lecture est incroyable!
J’ai aimé chaque petite histoire qu’on nous propose ici. Chaque histoire est merveilleuse à lire le coup de crayon c’est vraiment magnifique et ça nous a fait de très belles planches d’illustration et on en prend plein les yeux. Le thème global de toutes ces petites histoires c’est l’acceptation de soi. Et je trouve ce sujet hyper important. En parler à travers des petites histoires comme celle-ci c’est vraiment quelque chose de très bien et j’ai vraiment beaucoup apprécié. Par exemple une sirène qui apprend que le courage c’est également passé par l’échec ou encore C’est ce qui découvre que la persévérance finit toujours par payer quoi qu’il arrive ou bien une femme accepte d’être damnée pour avoir laissé mourir l’être cher. Il y a donc le moral derrière chaque petite histoire et parfois il suffit juste quelques pages pour faire passer un message.
Visuellement parlant c’était vraiment très beau à lire. J’ai vraiment énormément aimé ma lecture. C’était beau parfois avec un petit côté effrayant sur une certaine histoire. Mais au fond, rien que pour le message qu’il véhicule ce manga est vraiment beau. Il ya vraiment une émotion qui ressort, surtout pour l’histoire sans parole. Pas un seul dialogue et pourtant il y a tellement d’émotions qui se dégagent. Ce recueil est une véritable merveille!
