Whether you've read each book individually as they were released or you've just discovered Kathi S. Barton's "The Grant Brothers" series, this box set is a must-read for anyone who enjoys a storyline with family loyalty, love, drama, trust, and heated chemistry. It includes:
1. Nickolas Nickolas' is the first book in Kathi S. Barton's "The Grant Brothers" series. As unusual as it may seem, this is not a paranormal family, which is what I'm used to reading from Ms. Barton. This is also not the usual insta-love and fated mate scenario I'm used to finding. These are two people who have been so hurt and jaded it's almost caustic but somehow between the mom and the five other brothers, there's enough love and support to pull a happily ever after out of the end. It definitely was a gripping storyline but I can’t say Nickolas was my favorite character by any stretch of the imagination.
2. Devin 'Devin' is book two in Kathi S. Barton's "The Grant Brothers" series and I have to admit, the evil depicted in this book sometimes took my breath away. We met Devin previously in Nickolas' story if you remember. He's the attorney of the family. What surprised me as well as the fact that Devin had the same characteristics as Nickolas when it came to being pompous and argumentative, just not quite as bad. Veronica, aka Ronnie, was the waitress four of the brothers had encountered at a diner they stopped at on their way home from their mom's house. Even though Devin had started off in a surly mood when they had entered and continued to push his mood onto Ronnie, she held her own and gave as good as she got. If you've read the blurb then you know Devin left a huge tip under the law books he saw at her table, knowing how expensive the books were, as his way of making it up to her. Ronnie took exception to what she interpreted as charity from a group of rich, pompous gay men. Since Spencer was the one who had paid the bill with his credit card, he was the only one she was able to track. And track him she did. Her backstory is heinous and as the story unfolds it's a roller-coaster ride of emotions that kept me on the edge of my seat. I can’t imagine what Spencer's story will bring.
3. Devin Wow! Just WOW! `Sigh~ 'Spencer' is Kathi S. Barton's third book in her "The Grant Brothers" series and I have to say it was the best in the series so far! Even though Spencer has his moments of showing the Grant foot-in-mouth disease, he seems to be the most romantic and loving of the three so far. Caitlynne, aka Cait, is a homicide detective from the Chicago Police Department. A fellow officer tried killing her and her Aunt and Uncle brought her to Ohio to rest and recuperate and keep her in hiding. Of course, the Grant's become involved when she saves Spencer's daughter, and the rest of her pre-school class from being hit by a speeding truck while at the store and then this story takes off at a run. I only hope "Byron" is as good as this one.
4. Byron And this series gets better and better with each book. 'Byron' is book four in Kathi S. Barton's "The Grant Brothers" series and this one set my screen to blaze. "Byron was an artist. He had started out as an oil painter and now changed his medium over to clay. He had learned to throw on a wheel while in college and hadn’t done anything with it until ten years ago when he decided to try painting on pottery pots. His work now graced the homes of some of the most famous people; the President had several pieces and there was a rumor that the Queen herself had a piece or two lying around the castle. He also owned several businesses that he kept very close tabs on. One of which was a bondage club." He didn't know his brother's proclivities since it had never been discussed but when Jamie's best friend, Taylor, came to the winter fundraiser with a fever so high she fainted on the dance floor, it was Bryon's Dom voice that pulled her out of her pain so Damon could examine her. This is such a high-impact, heated chemistry, blazing hot scenes storyline that I couldn't put it down. Crooked bosses, attempted murder, kidnapping, exposed secrets, and BDSM. Yes, this one was as exciting as they come.
5. Jamie This is Kathi S. Barton's fifth book in her "The Grant Brothers" series and the intensity and the heat gets more pronounced with each book. In this one, we get a closer look at Jamie, whom we've already learned in the previous book that he also carries the Grant foot-in-mouth trait. And then there's Doctor Dane Wallace, a psychologist who is also an empath, telepath, and a bit of a clairvoyant. If you've read the blurb then you know she's had dreams of a man being attacked and killed on the college campus and intends to circumvent. She doesn't personally know Jamie or his name so the only conclusion she can come up with is they must have inadvertently touched each other at some point. After days of watching him walk past the bench she sits on to make sure he's safe, the attack comes. Unfortunately, one of the attackers hit her across the back and head with a board while she was trying to protect Jamie. Taken to the hospital, Dane is confronted with a part of her very unpleasant past when Detective O'Malley, now Grant, wants to question her about the attack. There's bad blood there and Dane is not ready to forgive. It's an intense, fast-moving storyline with a high heat level. Oh, and by the way, there is no getting around falling in love with Pi.
6. Damon 'Damon' is the sixth and final book in Kathi S. Barton's "The Grant Brothers" series and it's a powerful story about love, trust, and of course, good vs. evil. Damon is the last single Grant brother and being a doctor and the one everyone runs to take of things has little time for a love life. He wants what his brothers have but hasn't found that one person he could share his love and life with. Charlotte, aka Charlie, has had a harsh life up to this point. Date raped at a party when she was seventeen, becoming pregnant, thrown out of her house by a mother who was more worried about the opinions of her church friend. To top it off, her son was kidnapped by a man who was determined to have her and then blackmailed into living with him. Both Charlie and her son Connor have been beaten so many times and so harshly they have no alternative but to continue to try and escape. That's how the Grant family meets them. This is an emotional punch of emotion, both good and bad, that kept me turning pages until the end.
If you have not read the Grant Brothers Series you are truly missing out on some great reading experiences. Each brother is very different from the other and they have no problem pointing out the mistakes the others are making when they meet the ladies who capture their hearts. Rich, handsome and never having trouble with the opposite sex, these boys are in for a rude awakening when they meet the strong women who will complete them. Now the ladies are quite extraordinary, they are not rich socialites, do not take orders well and have no problem putting their men in the proper place and if they have any trouble, just call their mother. Ms. Parker is a wonderful character who will make you laugh as she guides her head strung and sometimes stupid sons to the correct path. These are wonderful stories and you will not be sorry you picked up the set because once you start you are not going to want to quite until every brother has meet his match.

This was a great read! I had a hard time of putting this series down to get anything done, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading about these amazing characters and experiencing their adventures on the road to happiness and love!
I bought this series as a boxed set - Each book in this series will take you on an emotional roller coaster!! Byron is still my favorite, but the ladies in this series are AMAZING! They have over come so much in their pasts and the men trying to convince them that they want yo be in their lives is pretty funny. Of course, Mom knows how to keep her boys in line and what's not funnier than watching a grown man squirm when his Mom is called in. It takes a strong man to go with a strong woman. Each couple has their ups and downs as their pasts rear their ugly heads. But working together and leaning to trust each other has it's benefits.
These books are fantastic. Each one is better than the last. I do have to say I had a little trouble liking Nicholas' character, because he was a grade A a**hole throughout most of the story, but he did redeem himself in the end. Of course, the next two books followed a similar pattern, but Devin and Spencer weren't quite as bad. Jamie's book was a bit better in that regard, and I absolutely loved Pi. Damon's book, though, was my favorite. I don't know if it was the culmination of the series or just the book itself...Of course, it could have been Conner that won me over...but I loved it.
loved the grant brothers this is amazing great book set that has some laughs and woman who hates to be told what to do .. some hot scene and some Bondage in book four .. but it wroth reading
