Mallory Mason has spent eight years hiding behind the counter of her B&B, serving coffee to strangers and pretending she's over the fact that her husband died shortly after their honeymoon. She's fine. Totally fine. Except her new friends Grace and Lila have started hosting Tequila Tuesdays in her living room, making her realize that "fine" isn't cutting it anymore. When Conor O'Dell, a celebrity baker and the guy who delivers donuts to her door every morning at seven a.m., asks her out, Mallory’s first instinct is to say no. She's not ready. She'll never be ready. Besides, Conor's out of her league anyway, right?
Conor knows what it's like to be famous for all the wrong reasons. No matter how successful he is, there are some people in his life who will always see him as a screw-up who threw his life away for a “hobby.” Now, he just wants a quiet life where he doesn’t have to please anyone but himself...and, maybe, Mallory. The sweet and funny innkeeper has him captivated, and he’s determined break down her walls and show her she deserves more than just surviving.
But when a voice from Mallory's past keeps calling—literally—threatening to drag her back into the grief she's tried so hard to escape, Conor realizes he's got his own demons to face. Can two people who've spent years protecting their hearts risk breaking them all over again? Or will the past win?
The second heartwarming installment in the Tranquil Bay series. Perfect for readers who love second chances, small-town charm, and the kind of love that heals even the deepest wounds.
