The founder and editor-in-chief of the quarterly Fronda (between 1994 and 2005 and from 2007 onwards), from 1994 to 2001 he co-authored a television programme under the same title, aired on the Polish national television station TVP which ran for a total of 150 episodes Grzegorz has produced various documentary television series, including Archive of the 20th century (for TV Puls), The Other Bottom of History (for TVP Historia), Savage Poland (for TVP Polonia), and 2009’s War of the Worlds (for TVP 2 and TVP 1), for which he was also screenwriter and director.
Between 2005 and 2006 he was editor-in-chief of the weekly Ozon. He has authored publications, including 1991’s collection of essays entitled Culprits with Witold Paski and Wojciech Tochman; The Lexicon of literary Noble Prize winners (1993); a collection of essays entitled The Demon of the Afternoon; the album Faith:. Following the Footsteps of Sister Fasustyna (2010; with Janusz Rosikon), a book of journalistic writing entitled Battle for Madrid (2010; with Tomasz Terlikowski). He conducted a series of interviews with Rev. Waldemar Chrostowski, PHD (along with Rafał Tichy) entitled Bóg, Biblia, Mesjasz (God, the Bible, the Messiah) and Kościół, Żydzi, Polska (The Church, Jews, Poles). He's had many articles published in newspapers such as Rzeczpospolita, Życiu Warszawy ( he was their in-house correspondent in the Ukraine 1992/1993), Wprost, Nowym Państwie, Znaku, Christianitas, Teologii Politycznej, the Austrian Der Standard, the Hungarian Heti Valasz, the Ukrainian Post Postup and many more.

I always read life stories of Catholic saint cautiously. I am not really against having saints because for me they are models of our faith but why is there a need to pray for them if you can pray directly to Jesus Christ? Why is there a need for intercession?
I think I first heard about the The Three O'Clock Prayer: The Hour of Great Mercy in the late 80's when I was still a fresh college graduate. Of course, I wondered where it came from or who started the prayer and started to hear the name Sister Faustina. However, I did not pay much attention to it except that I oftentimes (even up to now) hear that prayer interrupting my listening pleasure every afternoon while listening to FM radio stations while in the office.
Saint Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938) was a Polish visionary nun who said to have seen and spoken with Jesus Christ in a number of instances. She died a few years before World War II with Hitler's German army invading her country, Poland. Karol Wojtyla a.k.a. Pope John Paul II (1920-2005), also from Poland was 13 years old when Saint Faustina died. It was him who beatified Sister Faustina in 1993 and finally canonizing her to sainthood in 2000.
This book is the life story of Saint Faustina and the story of the devotion to the Merciful Jesus uttering the short prayer: "I trust in you!" The title, Trust came from Saint Faustina's diary that trust is man's first and most appropriate response to the merciful love of God. Christ told Sister Faustina:
So we have to widely open our hearts to Jesus and trust in Him.
Why do we have Saint Faustina? She delivered the messages from Jesus Himself on the days prior to World War II. Messages that are everlasting and still sound true even till these days!

On the other hand, I am sad when souls ask me for little, when they narrow their hearts."(Diary 1578)The Catholic Church has declared the authenticity of Sister Faustina's Diary. The Feast of the Divine Mercy is set every second Sunday of Easter.

After you have watched the movie on St. Faustina, you need to read the book Trust: In Saint Faustina's Footsteps. The book begins by telling us about Poland and the nothingness that it was. In the late 1700s, Poland was partitioned by Austria, Prussia, and Russia. There were multiple uprising attempts over the next 100+ years, but they were unable to declare their independence until 1918. The author, Grzegorz Górny, tells us that Poland was considered nothing and it was from this nothing that Jesus chose to bring his message of Divine Mercy to the world. After the context of St. Faustina's life is set, we are then introduced to the girl before she became a saint. We learn of her family and home life, what they had planned for her life, and how she longed to join a convent.
We then trace her journey from postulancy to novitiate to juniorate. Then, she is confronted with the reality of a tuberculosis diagnosis and the realization of knowing death could come quickly and at any moment. This did not decrease her love for God or others, though. The last parts of the book chronicle the Divine Mercy Movement, St. Faustina's beatification and canonization, and Pope John Paul II entrusting the world to Divine Mercy. As in her life, in death her message was not easily understood or accepted.
This is a beautiful, detailed book on St. Faustina and Divine Mercy. It is done in the same manner as Górny's book Witnesses to Mystery and makes an excellent companion volume for it. The best part of this book is the sheer amount of images and illustrations in it. Every page is a treasure trove of history, both Polish and Catholic history. It takes a reporter/journalist to compile a book of this magnitude, because they have a nose for finding the pictures and stories that others cannot. Each flip of the page is like another step on a pilgrimage, which you can take from the comfort of your home or wherever you happen to be reading this book. If you have a love for St. Faustina and Divine Mercy, you'll want a copy of this book!

This was a beautiful book. There were TONS of pictures, photographs, and images in it - I have read the Diary of St. Faustina a few times, and now was able to put an image/a picture to the places and people named in the Diary. AND it wasn't JUST photographs, images, and pictures - there was the history and details from her life/diary of the people pictured, recollections of St. Faustina, snippets of the Diary, updates about the life of Blessed Fr. Sopoko and Fr. ANdraz after St. Faustina's death and what happened to them, the progress of the devotion after St. Faustina's death and the fulfillment of many of the prophecies she made in her Diary. It was/is an excellent book and will be read and looked through again and again....

Kolejna rewelacyjna książka duetu Grzegorz Górny i Janusz Rosikoń. Tym razem odbywamy z nimi podróż śladami św. Faustyny Kowalskiej od jej narodzin w Głogowcu - niewielkiej wsi na pograniczu Wielkopolski i Mazowsza, aż po jej beatyfikację i kanonizację w Watykanie.
Historia św. Faustyny to przede wszystkim misja głoszenia światu Bożego miłosierdzia, którą otrzymała od samego Jezusa w licznych objawieniach, w tym życzenie ustanowienia święta Miłosierdzia Bożego, a także perypetie z tym związane. Wiążą się z tą misją także losy ks. Michała Sopoćki - spowiednika Faustyny, który nakazał jej spisywać objawienia, które składają się teraz na słynny "Dzienniczek". Ciekawe są losy obrazu, a właściwie wielu obrazów jakie na polecenie Jezusa dane Faustynie zostały namalowane i dzisiaj są czczone w kościołach na całym świecie. Z losami św. While this book had TONS of pictures and was packed with lots of information on St. Faustina, it didn't have a smooth flow of a storyline. Instead, it was pretty "choppy," bouncing around her life timeline. The ending of the book was pretty abrupt, ending on the topic of Confession, which was only introduced a couple of pages before the end. The size of the book is oddly large, but it made the pictures easier to see. Honestly, the pictures were probably my favorite aspect of the book. I did learn some things about St. Faustina that I hadn't known before, so I'm glad I read the book. St. Faustina, pray for us!

This is a beautiful book, worthy of any coffee table. Loaded with photographs and filled with information both historical and spiritual, it's easy to read and understand. I felt as if I were living in Poland with Sister Faustina. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy has become part of my daily prayers after delving into the life of this holy young saint. From her, I draw inspiration and devotion to our Crucified Savior.

A must have for Catholic libraries, Trust is a gorgeous and in-depth history of the message of The Divine Mercy and rich in its spiritual and historical content. The reader becomes immersed in the world of Saint Faustina as if experiencing the events themselves.

The combination of history and the steps it took for worldwide acceptance of The Divine Mercy chaplet meant I could not put this book down. It is filled with pictures, letters, and stories as well as facts.
