Lovie thought she finally landed a good man—one who loved her right, protected her, and made her feel chosen. But being with Zyaire Kingston comes with a whole storm she wasn’t prepared for. Loving a man with a past is one thing… dealing with his child’s mother is a whole different war.
Zyaire is trying to move forward and build something real. But the woman he shares a child with refuses to let him go. Threats turn into chaos. Drama turns into danger. And soon, Lovie finds herself pulled deeper into Zyaire’s world—where love isn’t soft, and loyalty comes with a price.
Now she’s dodging messy lies, bold disrespect, and a bitter ex who swears she’s the only queen in Zyaire’s life. As things explode around them, Lovie has to walk away and protect her peace, or fight for a man whose past refuses to stay in the rearview.
Baby Mama Issues is a raw, addictive hood romance about love that hits hard, an unhinged second chance at happiness, and the struggle every woman knows too well—trying to hold onto a man when someone else thinks he still belongs to them.
Fans of Mollysha’s hit Baby Daddy Issues will devour this brand-new standalone—full of passion, drama, and the kind of chaos that keeps the pages turning.
This is a read that I was actually pumped for. I saw the cover and was down like a frown. Unfortunately with a tight start by 40% the story started lagging.
The Bad 😬 Here the multi-pov worked against the story's pacing. All storylines suffered because of it. None of the stories got enough to breathe. Either this needed to be solely focused on one couple at a time with each couple getting their own book or some just didn't need POVs 😬 Some pov chapters hit and it was barely 2 pages and the scenes wasn't necessary to be shown explicitly 😬Heavy topics/situations/storylines were presented but went through at warp-speed 😬The epilogue didn't feel earned nor did we spend enough time there. It felt like just a regular chapter versus a true blue epilogue 😬 Big bad MMC but a lot of situations were resolved without feeling his force and power. It felt like a way to chicken out
The Good 👍🏾 The story did fly by 👍🏾 It is a standalone 👍🏾 Some good sex scenes
Lapsed this book …So Jackie was annoying a lil bit but I kinda understood but damn…at his book took me through it but it was worth the read…I love Happy endings…
Zyaire, DJ, Macai walked into the club and they could have chose any girls they wanted, but they already had their eyes set on the girls they wanted. Lovie, Jackie, and Janay all stuck to their words they something and they mean it. Ain't going back and forth. Jackie got on my nerves for a minute. I can say Lovie stayed ten toes down her girls. I love the way she loved on Jordan. Brielle was jealous and bitter of Zyaire was treating Lovie, she like how couldn't get that treatment from Zyaire she was there before he had come up. Brielle mistake was trying one up Zyaire by talking and being with GQ. Brielle just couldn't let go of Zyaire and her cousin didn't make it any better. Macai almost lost Janay from the lie Kira told about being pregnant DJ was tried of playing with Jackie and everybody told her that.
One thing about this baby daddy, Zy, he played no games getting who he wanted. Yes, he played himself a couple of times, and still recognized real. Lovie was her. I liked she was cool, even too cool sometimes cause I would have told doc to keep it moving. DJ and Jackie 🙄 a conversation please and we could have got some more love in there. Nay and Cai 😳 another conversation and the weird baby mama…. Whew, then bri, I thought she was better than that and I usually don’t feel like I need to jump in a book verse fr fr but gq had me punching the air! I stand 10 toes behind the babies. Lord hammmercy, I need a cute lil novella after this! You did it Mollysha. I am bothered!
From the start I was invested in all three couples even though Jackie annoyed me to no end! But even though the book suggests this book is all about baby momma drama, it seemed mild to me. Yes, it was there, but it was minimal; this book is more about the growing pains of new couples who haven't overcome or dealt with past hurts. I really hated what happened to Brielle and especially Jordan. The ending felt a bit rushed, especially with the amount of drama/issues introduced in the last half of the book, but it was entertaining nonetheless.
This was 🔥🔥. This author did not disappoint. Jackie was getting on my nerves but I’m glad that she and Dj worked it out. Zyaire and Lovie were made for each other. Janay and Macai found their way. It’s real messed up what happened to Jordan. So glad he pulled through. All and all this was an excellent read. Thank u ☺️
This was a good book. I enjoyed how each woman was strong-willed and didn't take any nonsense. I also admired how the men, while in the streets, did didnt let that show to their women as much as possible. My heart broke for what happened to Jordan, but I'm glad he was alright in the end.
I loved the Love Lovie and her friends shared! The relationship between the brothers was good . I like that all couples found some sort of peace! It was full of drama!! Great job!
I truly enjoyed "Baby Mama Issues." Although the baby mamas were not the only characters with "issues," the story kept me on the edge of my seat on more than one occasion! Excellent read!
