I didn’t know the house I broke into belonged to a mafioso, and now my revenge arc is a lot more complicated.
7 years ago, I died. Nameless, forgotten, left in a ditch after an overdose. I don’t know who saved me or why. God? Satan? A good Samaritan whose name I'll never know? It doesn't really matter.
I don’t know who I used to be. My name, my past, they were buried. But somehow, I'm still here.
I'm not the only one the Sleepless Reapers have used and abused, but I will be the last, if I have anything to say about it.
I don’t need the attention of a mafioso. Even if Alessio is fun to play with, and even more fun to make beg. But I don’t have time for his devotion or his pretty, breathless pleas.
I have a score to settle, and I can't rest until every last Sleepless Reaper is six feet under.
Alessio makes me feel something other than hatred for the first time that I can remember. He makes me hope one day I might be more than a ghost driven by vengeance. He can’t pull me out of the darkness, but maybe we can keep each other company in the shadows until all our demons are exorcized.
K.M.Neuhold has long since been a romance junkie. When she’s not writing she’s reading or spending time snuggling with her husky or her husband. She fell in love with M/M romance last year and hasn’t been able to turn back. There’s nothing she loves more than love in all its forms.
It’s no secrets that this one of my all time favourite series and I was waiting for this book with bated breaths, but no matter how insanely high my expectations for this book were … this book exceeded them.
Breaking and entering in mafioso’s penthouse and making him submit to you to turn the situation around might be one of my all time favourite meet cute in a book, I just loved these two together so much.
I just adored Alessio and Ghost together do much. Their dynamic and clear obsession with and other was just the best and they played off each other so well, which made their interactions very fun to read. Their dynamic of Alessio being this big bad mafioso who is just do wiped for his guy and loves being bossed around by a vigilante with anger issues was just so well explored and done and I adored them together. These guys were ready to burn the world down to get 5 seconds in each other’s arms and I just loved that, so much. I absolutely love a couple thats mutually obsessed with each other and these guys were just the perfect example.
You know you’re in for a good time when the prologue gets you so hooked you are already crying your eyes out. And then I just got more and more invested as the book went on. I just could not put this book down until I reached the end, my desire to know what would happen next was greater than my need to do anything productive with my day.
I am so invested in this group of guys and there was so much intrigue and lore in this book and I had the best of time catching up with everyone.

7 years ago, Ghost was abused by the motorcycle club Sleepless Reapers. They introduced him to drugs, got him addicted, and gang raped him and left him for dead in the ditch. He technically died, but he was revived. It left him with amnesia and a lot of trauma. He managed to get sober, and ever since then he has been making a living stealing and using all of his time to kill every Sleepless Reaper he can corner. He wants to take them down so that no other people are victimized.
One day he breaks into a penthouse, and the owner, Alessio, is home. And Alessio is Mafia. Ghost makes Alessio hot though, and when he notices that Alessio is turned on, he uses this to his advantage as a distraction and indulges in a hookup. Ghost is a dom, Alessio is a sub, and Ghost ties him up during the kinky sex and then leaves him after. Both of them are obsessed and want a repeat. Ghost stalks Alessio. Alessio is trying to find Ghost. And their lives keep intersecting because of Ghost being the vigilante going after the Sleepless Reapers. .
The sexual assault references are very pervasive (but not graphic) throughout the whole book, so if that's a tough topic for you, this book is not for you.
I found this to be an enjoyable book. This author writes great characters. I love how quickly the author builds complex characters, and reveals things as they go. I like the family and friend group that the author has built in this world. The characters were a good match for each other. I like that they were both bad asses, but they were both very possessive and protective of each other.
Some notable moments:
"“I didn’t exactly want Sal to know,” I confess with a tight smile. “Oh shit, you’re not actually here to try and seduce him, right? Because Sal will legitimately kill you,” Sparrow says. “Yeah, I swung by to ask him for a quick blowie, but now that you’re all here maybe we can organize a circle jerk instead,” I say sarcastically."
"I want him to take me apart. I want him to make me beg. I want to be whatever I need to be to make him crave me the way I can’t stop craving him. If he leaves again without giving me a way to find him, I’ll burn this entire fucking city to the ground in search of him, and I don’t give a damn if that’s too “obsessive” for anyone else."
"“Who?” he hisses. “Tell me who the fuck hurt you, and I swear on my own fucking life that I’ll hunt them down and shove my gun so far down their throats that they’ll shit out the bullets.”"
*FYI about steam: I rate steam based on a combination of quality & quantity. I note kink separate from steam because I don't want to underrate steamy reads that don't have much kink.
**Note about spoilers: I like to comment on the plot of a book in reviews, so I almost always mark my reviews as containing spoilers. But I try to avoid spoiling the big dramatic moments! As a reader, I personally like to know what I'm getting into before I read a book so I know more about the content and if it's to my taste/mood, so I try to give that information in my reviews for myself when I'm considering rereading and also for other readers.

I have to admit I saw the big plot twist coming from a mile away, but it was still SO GOOD! 🤌🏻✨ This author is such a joy to read.
I absolutely loved Spetto; he is everything. And the way he handled his relationship with Alessio? Their every interaction had me weak! I also loved getting to know the real Alessio. In the previous books, he was always the one with the witty (or totally inappropriate) comments, but here we finally see his true self. Their chemistry was off the charts from the very first moment—I couldn't put it down.
The reunion between Spetto and his brother was everything... I’ll admit I definitely teared up during that hug🥹💖.
PS: I NEED Declan and Lorenzo’s story right now! 🔥🔥🔥
4.25⭐️ A ghost breaks into Alessio’s house and thoroughly puts him in his place. From there, Alessio is obsessed. On the other hand, his Ghost is out for revenge and is uncertain if Alessio is a friend or foe.
This mafia romance has fun action, a spicy d/s type relationship, good character building in a short time, and just overall a fun ride. I really like this series!
Rating: 4 Steam: 4 PoV: dual, 1st person Genre: contemporary romance, MM Tropes / tags: past trauma, kink, found family
I'm always having a great time with this series, and I love the combination of darkish mafia romance, kink and found family!
I'm not sure if I should call a break-in ending in a hookup a meet-cute, but the first time Alessio and Ghost met was definitely both memorable and hot! Alessio being all needy and eager to please? Absolute perfection. Neither of them could stop thinking about each other after that first night, and Alessio was intent on finding Ghost again, even if he didn't have anything to go on.
Ghost's past broke my heart, and the prologue was especially heavy to read. Ghost was a man with a revenge plan, and he didn't plan for Alessio to happen. I really enjoyed the dynamic between them, and it was a lot of fun to see them together. They were both very protective and possessive of each other, and I loved to see how respectful and careful Alessio was with Ghost's boundaries. Alessio was overall such a sweetheart, and he added some softness to Ghost's harder edges.
Relentlessly Vengeful Ghost was a great addition to the Mafia Bound series, and I loved the twists and turns! These two certainly had some intense chemistry going on, and there were quite a few hot scenes in this one. This found family is always chaotic and entertaining, and I can't seem to get enough of them! The set up for Lorenzo's book was highly intriguing, and I can't wait to see what's been going on with him and Declan!
- I received a complimentary copy of this book, and these are my honest thoughts and opinions.
This is a hurt / comfort - revenge dark mafia romance, featuring Ghost and Alessio, and is book five in the Mafia Bound series.
Ghost is a man with no past and is determined to get revenge on the people who hurt him. When he meets a mafioso named Alessio, unexpected feelings begin to get in the way of his mission.
I absolutely loved this one. Ghost has such a traumatic past and has lost a lot of his memories but his connection with Alessio adds a softer, more complicated side to everything. I really enjoyed their dynamic and the mix of darkness, obsession, and emotion. This found family are everything, oh and I loved the twist.

Relentlessly Vengeful Ghost is the fifth book in K.M. Neuhold’s Mafia Bound series, featuring assorted members of the Moretti crime family. It is a dark romance series with a dose of kink, and I have really been enjoying the books so far. The stories each feature different couples and they stand alone well, but the characters do appear in each other’s books and I think they are more fun in order. That is particularly the case for the “mafia wives” (the various Moretti partners), as they are so much fun and I love to watch them interact. Different side characters play bigger roles in different books, and in this case, I think having read Deadly Little Sparrow is useful but not required (also, Sparrow is pretty much my favorite character of the series, so that is a great place to start if you haven’t read these).
Alongside the romance, there is Ghost’s quest for vengeance, plus the complication of how that impacts things with the Morettis. It means Alessio is hiding some things from the others in the family, which adds to the stakes. This isn’t a high-intensity action story, but this thread provides some excitement and rounds out the relationship part of the story nicely.
Overall, I am continuing to enjoy this series and this darker world Neuhold has created. I am looking forward to the final book and am intrigued by the hints we get here of the story to come.
4.5 I love this series so much! The passion between the couple is fire with brilliant spicy scenes. The set up was brilliant what a great meet cute for this pair I was locked in to this story so fast. Also how this links into the previous books and world but still feels like it's own story was brilliant.
Alessio the jokester of the mafia family hears a bump in the night and finds Ghost with a gun and a plan to burgle, that instead turns into some hot fun. Quickly both become obsessed with each other, but Ghost has an avenging mission. His need to take out everyone in the drug running motorcycle gang The Sleepless Reapers and he's not sure how that will affect his new Mafia lover.
Loved the dynamic, loved the balance of continued story and new original set up. Solid Mafia romance with a great Don/Sub relationship that had such a good flow and version of scenes.
I can't wait for the next book the build up to book has me so intrigued.
When I saw the blurb for this I knew who Ghost was straight away but even knowing didn't take my happiness away when they finally meet each other. Also who knew Alessio would be such a needy sub. Now I have to sit and be patient for Enzo & Declan.
I have loved this series so much and this one was NO exception! The dynamic between the two MCs is SO GOOOOOOD!!!! LOVE the big bad mafia man as the sub 🥵
4.5 stars - This story comes at us in this world from a slightly different angle this time. We have Ghost, a past “victim” of the Sleepless Reapers gang. He was one of the young guys they lured in and passed around after plying him with drugs, getting him addicted, etc. Their usual MO. When they were finished, he was thrown in their usual ditch to die, which he actually did, but was saved and brought back by an unknown savior. Fortunately and unfortunately for Ghost, he has little recollection of his life prior to his death, but he remembers vividly his time with the Reapers and he is now on a mission to end them, one by one.
Ghost survives by robbing higher priced apartments. This has worked well for him until he picks the wrong one and is caught by Alessio Moretti. We know Alessio from the prior books as part of the inner Moretti circle and although he isn’t actually a Moretti, he is part of the family and has earned their trust. When Ghost starts getting sloppy with his kills, he enters the radar of the Morettis, who are not happy about the potential attention.
The Morettis are not fans of the Sleepless Reapers, but they have co-existed in the same territory up to this point without much interaction. Alessio and Salvatore are put in charge of hunting down the Ghost to cool things down. At this point, Alessio doesn’t know his Ghost and the Ghost are one in the same. Ghost, however, does know who the Morettis are and devises a new plan to seek their help in taking out the Reapers on a bigger scale than he is capable of. But, first, he must figure out if the Morettis are for or against the Reapers. It’s a bit of a cat and mouse game for a while until it all comes to light but through it all, Alessio and Ghost continue their hookups.
As to Alessio and Ghost and their relationship. Just as with the other Morettis, Alessio wants someone he can submit to, and Ghost seems to be the perfect partner. This is really only the case with the physical aspects of their relationship, and it’s one thing I love about all of these guys and this story. I also love seeing them find a way to make it all work in the grand scheme of things.
I have really enjoyed this story so far. This book closes one of the circles with Ghost and another character, and I love how it’s all tying together. On the Fitzpatrick front, Declan now seems to be missing, and it has had a major effect on the Moretti leader. Looks like that all comes crashing in in the next book, and with the build up of how those two have interacted thus far, I’m already looking forward to seeing it all play out.
I have the feeling the Neuhold is wrapping up the series with book 6, so Relentlessly Vengeful Ghost is the penultimate story to start bringing the main series plots to a close and get all the Moretti family brothers or those who are famiglia happily mated and the crime clan successfully going forward.
There’s many in this trope of Mafia crime family romance fiction, often it’s involving a fantasy or paranormal element. Here it’s straightforward and simple. It’s crime, their romantic partners are often those who have been greatly damaged by another criminal gang or person, and they are often as dangerous as the Moretti family member who comes to love them.
There’s a lot of fun, D/s relationships with most of the Moretti family being the sub in the dynamic. The author creates with each relationship, a great story, a heartfelt albeit intriguing dynamic, and always a fascinating plot that makes compelling reading.
Ghost, a young man who has “died” at the hands of the Sleepless Reaper gang, but was revived by doctors at the ER. Now, without memories of his former life, he’s vengeance and his mission is to annihilation of the gang that preyed on him and others.
Alessio is the Moretti who is thought of as easygoing, a bit too much maybe. But that’s a just a role he plays in an organization full of big, talented and extremely brutal players.
Then he encounters a thief in his penthouse and everything changes.
I loved this book. The twists. The way the characters show growth and the ability to make real decisions and progress as adults.
There are trigger warnings mentioned. Read them.
All my other favorite characters are in here, not to the extent I’d want but it’s not their book. It’s Ghost and Alessio’s. And it’s terrific.
Lots of dead bodies, bad memories, kinky sex, hot men, great dialogue, and those Moretti family . Including their partners.
Fabulous! Highly recommended. Read them as they are written. It helps to understand how they all come together.
Next up is Lorenzo Moretti, the head of the family. And the family. He’s left with a heartbreaking story here. Can’t wait to see how it turns out.

Kyleen strikes again. This series is how I found this author....back with good ole Sparrow and I continue to immediately read anything she writes. This series is just so great and this book was no exception. I kind of wish I had restarted the series or at least reread the first one before this but how was I to know that we'd get to find Sparrow's long lost brother in this one?!!? It's been so long since I read Sparrow I forgot he even HAD a (supposedly) dead brother. So that realization was super fun. I should reread before Lorenzo's book....maybe that's what I'll do....
ANYWHO....we initially meet bb boi Ghost 7 years in the past when he is on deaths door due to an overdose at the hands of the Sleepless Reapers (Wildcliff's MC that the Morrettis hate and they cause lots of trouble). He's not the first nor the last to have this happen to them. Turns out the president's brother, Hawk, called an ambulance to try to save him. He survived and has been working on his vendetta against them every since. I was a bit confused on what he was doing for the past 6 years but he's here now and he's drawing attention because he's just killing the Sleepless Reapers and leaving their bodies everywhere. Lorenzo doesn't want Wildcliff drawing any federal attention so he wants Xav and Alessio to find the "Ghost". So Alessio is already kind of obsessed with the Ghost and then who should so happen to break into his penthouse apartment looking for stuff to steal to pay his rent but the Ghost himself. Of course he doesn't know that yet. He just knows that the thief is beautiful and he likes when he sticks his gloved fingers in his mouth haha Once again we have a mafioso sub who just wants to be so good for his slightly smaller, but no less murderous, Dom. Their relationship is zero angst and all the respect and sweetness you can stand. Alessio is always a goofball but he's very serious about his man. Ghost (or Spettro as we come to know him since that's the Italian word for Ghost and he doesn't remember his real name) doesn't like to be touched skin to skin or really much at all and Alessio is SO respectful of that. Once Spettro is comfortable (almost the end of the book) with it he lets Alessio in and it's all the more beautiful.
Per usual this book had great story telling, lots of spice, zero angst and just lots of goodness. I love the mafia wives vibes and wish we had gotten a bit more of that. MORE DANTE PLEAAASSSE.

Ghost lurks in the shadows, silently carrying out his own type of vengeance with a side of petty theft to pay his bills. Either fortunately or unfortunately for him, he ended up trying to rob the apartment of a Moretti.
Alessio Moretti tends to hide behind a goofball persona and cracks jokes. He has been a part of the crime family for years and can be just as deadly as the rest of them. But he is shocked to see a menace in his space and is unexpectedly excited about the interaction.
When these two meet, it's intense and turns out much differently than either expected. They seem to be able to see each other despite their usual masks. They start to get under each other's skin and become a bit obsessed.
Ghost has a missing past, demons, and a quest for vengeance. He keeps Alessio on his toes, but Alessio just wants to keep him. They are both a bit psycho, but can appreciate that about the other. But they have some conflicts to deal with, and they are in dangerous business.
I really liked the chemistry and dynamic between these two. They see each other like no one else really does. They give each other what they need, even if it is unconventional. And they make each other feel alive, especially a Ghost that has not felt alive or had emotions for seven years.
It brings back the other dangerous mafiasos and their menaces of partners. I liked the way this story progressed and ties with the previous ones, and how well matched all of these couples are. I am looking forward to Boss Lorenzo's story next.
Please check the TWs before going into this one! It is a Dark Mafia Romance but this books has alot of focus on drug addiction/OD and SA (not between MCs and besides the prologue not on page) The author does put a note right at the beginning indicating this and going into a bit of detail incase you need to skip a section. Your mental health matters please don't skip the TWs with this one 🖤
🌶🌶🌶🌶
Guys I had my white board out with this one and all the red string connecting everything together from the past books when I read the blurb and then I REFUSED to read anything else about it going in blind...and HOLY SHIT I thought I was nuts (I mean I am a little) but I was right on the money! I really really hoped for something in this book and when it came true I audibly gasped and jumped up doing a little dance. So I am not giving any spoilers away here! If you have been following the series DROP what your reading and read this NOW!
Ghost technically died 7 years ago after an OD somehow he was found and taken to a hospital but when he woke up he had no memory at all. He had brief flashes from that night where he could recall the gang that had him and with this second chance he vowed he would make every one of them pay. Vengeance though doesn't work around a day job so he would take to robbing rich houses and selling the stuff he found for cash...that was working out fine until he creeped into Alessio's house one night and was shocked when Alessio was there and pulled a gun on him. Now the night did not end how you would expect it too, both these guys walked away but their lives were turned upside down after just that 1 interaction. Alessio was determined to track down his intruder even if he really was a Ghost. Omg this books was everything 😍 but I'm not gonna lie K. M. Neuhold dropped a bomb at the end here and for the second time I audibly gasped but there was no dancing 😭 I got a little teary and now we have to wait for our answers and Lorenzo's book. I don't think I'm gonna make it 😭
Well, the minute to open this book, you're gonna get a heavy dose of heat. There's no question on that! I was so effing excited for this one once we knew who Ghost is because come on, what a twist! I had no idea Neuhold was going to give us this nugget, and once I found out, I was so crazy ready to read and counting the days till release. Ghost more than deserved this story. And Alessio has been a good supporting character that we know little about up to this point so it was fun meeting him and his slutty ways. What a good sub he is let me tell you. I have had a lot of fun reading this series and will 100% see it to the end because FINALLY Enzo is next!!! I haven't been this excited for a final book in a while, Enzo has held my interest from the start, and I am really hoping his book is a wild ride, just like the others have been.
The story is on the shorter side but yet so have all the previous books been. The plot definitely rides the line of "out there" with how the good guys always prevail with little effort which is a common theme in this series as well. If you enjoyed the previous books you will love this one too. There is definitely a good amount of descriptive killing, so beware if that is not your thing. if that and if toppy vengeful twinks and mafioso subs with pretty panties is in fact your thing, then you'll get that and more.
Ghost and Alessio take you on a ride filled with steamy encounters, revenge, mafia drama, and love.
Ghost has no memory of his life before an overdose left him for dead seven years ago, and he’s spent every day since hunting the Sleepless Reapers who destroyed him. Breaking into the wrong house puts him in the path of Alessio, a mafioso who becomes an unexpected source of devotion and steadiness. Ghost doesn’t have time for feelings, but Alessio is the first person to make him want more than vengeance. As Ghost pursues his revenge, the two form a dark, fragile connection — two men keeping each other company in the shadows while they fight their demons.
This story dives deep into the trauma Ghost endured at the hands of the Sleepless Reapers, and it’s that history of abuse that fuels every step of his relentless quest for vengeance. His pain is raw and ever‑present, giving the book a powerful emotional core. What really stood out to me was the connection between Ghost and Alessio — unexpected, intense, and slowly transformative. Alessio’s steady devotion becomes the first thing to pull Ghost toward something resembling a real life, even if he can only take small steps out of the darkness. Their bond grows in quiet, careful moments, and the emotional weight of that journey is beautifully handled. The story is packed with feeling — anger, grief, longing, and the fragile hope that healing might be possible. It’s gripping, emotional, and full of heart. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.
I have been OBSESSED with this series! It's so so good. I mean dangerous Mafia men falling in love? ✔️ Add in some seriously kinky spice and some Dom/sub and I am 💀.
Alessio and Ghost's story was absolutely phenomenal and not at all what I expected ... But also what I expected at the same time 😏 if you know... you know 👀. KM Neuhold seriously hit a bullseye with this one (along with the rest of them) and made me salivate for more, particularly boss man Enzo's story 🥵.
I absolutely adored Ghost as a character, he was sweet, he was broken but not yet out, and he was hard and cold in all the best ways.. enter Alessio and his whole world gets flipped upside down 😈. But he's not the only one reeling from a chance meeting with the mafioso, no. Alessio is just as obsessed with Ghost and will stop at nothing to make sure he finds him again 🔥.
The narrators for this, as always, were utter perfection 😘 and they did the characters such justice that sometimes I had to pause the audiobook for a few minutes to keep my composure 🥵🔥🫣. Seriously, if you love your men to be walking red flags, and yet the sweetest cinnamon rolls towards their counterparts, or if you've read previous books in this series then definitely dive into this one! It will NOT disappoint 💯
Fifth in series (Mafia Bound), best if read in order. Light BDSM. Found family. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.
A burglar intent on stealing stuff to pawn and the mafia family member he accidentally targets. Ghost doesn’t remember much of his past but he’s spent the last few years seeking revenge on the local motorcycle club that killed him. Meeting Alessio and having feelings for him was not planned, but Ghost can’t seem to let him go, and Alessio is just as equally obsessed.
These two have immediate chemistry and it’s easy to envision them having a long future together because whatever that looks like they will make it work. Since Ghost has amnesia we don’t get much about his past, but Alessio accepts every bit of Ghost as he is now. I enjoyed the bad guys getting taken care of and while the story had violence it wasn’t super dark. Another entertaining read in this series, all of the characters have been interesting with stories that have an underlying sweetness. Fans of cinnamon roll mafia guys will appreciate this series.
I am truly gobsmacked that K M Neuhold didn't start out writing in this genre, she is made to write dirty and hilarious mafiosos. This story was full of twists and turns. The anticipation was mouth watering what a fantastic read! This was gripping and tantalising I am on tender hooks awaiting the next instalments.
Ghost / Spettro He is nobody... at least nobody anybody knows. He blends into the shadows. Driven by revenge for those whose stole his dignity, his peace, his past.... revenge for those who stole his life. Ghost is back and focused but what he didn't count on was Alessio, sweet, submissive, dirty, murderous mafioso, Alessio Moretti, The fuel to his already burning flame
Alessio Everyday is the same and Alessio is bored. A Moretti, a family that has amassed a reputation that strikes fear into the hearts of all....yet he is still bored still left craving.... craving someone to take control, craving someone who is isn't afraid to take him to his knees, craving for someone's depravity and darkness to match his own.... enter Ghost.
Relentlessly Vengeful Ghost delivers exactly what the Mafia Bound series does best: morally gray chaos, unhinged chemistry, and twinks who could probably run the entire criminal underworld if someone just handed them a clipboard. Ghost is out here assassinating Reapers and forgetting his own name, yet somehow still manages to break into Alessio’s penthouse like it’s a casual Tuesday. Alessio, meanwhile, is having an existential crisis about his place in the family but absolutely not about adopting this amnesiac murder‑puppy as his own. Their obsession is instant, messy, and ridiculously fun to watch. The violence is satisfying without going pitch‑black, the sweetness sneaks up on you, and the Mafia Wives continue to be the feral, fabulous backbone of this series. Watching Ghost piece together his past while falling for Alessio is addictive, and the cameos from previous couples feel like a chaotic family reunion with better outfits. Another wildly entertaining hit from K.M. Neuhold—and yes, Lorenzo is still hiding something, and yes, I’m still nosy about it.
"For the first time I can remember, I don’t need to put a hand on my chest to feel my heart beating or to know I’m really alive."
This is book 5 in the Mafia Bound series by KM Neuhold. If you haven't read the other books in this series you definitely need to or you won't get as much enjoyment from this book as the rest of her followers, the 'Neuhold's Nerds', did.
I'm a little too vanilla so I did a little speed reading through some of the spicier scenes. I just closed my eyes thru those pieces and parts, lol. D/s relationships are not my fav but I had to see what happened in the series, I'm invested to the end.
There are some trigger warnings listed at the beginning of the book so if you are triggered by things you should check them out.
Left for dead, his only memories were of his abusers, picking off the bad guys, driven by vengeance
I’ve always loved a morally gray main character and the Mafia Bound series by KM Neuhold is full of some of the darkest gray leads I’ve had the pleasure to come to love. Relentlessly Vengeful Ghost is book 5 in the series and with almost everyone paired up with their perfect match it is now Alessio’s turn. As a “Family” member who is not totally sure of his place in the organization Alessio is surprised by a thief in the middle of the night in his apartment. Totally unaware that the thief, Ghost is also the person his family is looking for in regards to some recent killings. With a clear mutual interest and goals, Alessio and Ghost and the rest of our crazy group work together to find love that neither of them had ever imagined possible. As usual love catching up with other character couples and seeing their further journeys in life with some absolutely wonderful surprises in store for characters and readers. Another fantastic series by KM Neuhold, one of my top 5 MM Authors.
Well that was a blast. Alessio finally gets his turn and what a turn it is. The joker has been firmly put in his place - that's on his knees in case you're wondering. Ghost is just that. Waking in a hospital 7 years ago with no idea who he is. He's made destroying the Reapers his mission and with no ID, pays his rent by stealing from items from Wildcliff's elite. That is until he breaks into Alessio's apartment, not realising who it belongs to.
Alessio just like most of the Moretti family just wants to let go and Ghost is happy to take control. I really enjoyed their dynamic and to say it was HOT would be an understatement. These guys are exactly what they each need. Add in the slow, but steady decimation of the Sleepless Reapers in the most violent ways and you've got a great love story with a side of gore. I loved it!
Oh, this one definitely ends up as tied for my favorite of the series.
I am OBSESSED with Ghost and Alessio's dynamic. Their "meet cute" is a new one for me and I loved how they saw each other and were just like "yes, that one is the one for me". I just adored that they instantly were able to give each other exactly what was needed.
But it wasn't completely instalove either, as Ghost has a lot of walls and a lot of hurt he needs to overcome first. I loved that Alessio never pushed or tried to change Ghost, but instead was ready to support him and go at his pace. It made it just such a beautiful and wonderful dynamic and I loved that they were there for each other so seamlessly.
The setup for the next book is outrageously good and I've already ordered it because I need it yesterday. Plus I'm loving all the "mafia wives" and the way they work together!
4.75⭐️ K.M. Neuhold the way you made my jaw drop with this one!!!
I truly loved this addition to the series! Such great characters and such a powerful story line! If I had the time I probably would have gone at this in one setting, it had me so hooked. And the full-circle plot moment we got was jaw dropping! I absolutely do not see it coming.
The only reason I drop it by 1/4⭐️ it’s because I just wished it was a little longer. I’ve been feeling that lately with the past few books of this series. It feels like there are such depth full plot points (especially in this one!!!) that I wis we got more from and expanded on. Not that they weren’t written well as is but I think it would have been even better if it was maybe 50-75 more pages where those situations could have been drawn out a bit longer.
But overall, SO good! Cannot wait for Lorenzo’s book!!
This time around it’s the joke teller of the group Alessio finding his other half in Ghost. There’s a reason Ghost calls himself that as a traumatic event leaves him without all his memories. What he does remember is that he needs to close down the Sleepless Reapers MC. His “meet cute” with Alessio is certainly unusual but it does spark a flame between them that burns very brightly very quickly. So be ready for plenty of steamy times between these two morally grey men as they and of course all the other members of the family assist Ghost in his quest for vengeance. As is typical of KM Neuhold’s writing there’s minimal angst, an enjoyable and engaging plot that has a little unexpected revelation, plenty of spice and a great cast of characters to keep things interesting.
I absolutely loved and enjoyed reading Ghosts and Alessios dynamic, their banter, their spicy (kinky) romance, their communication, just brilliant. ✨⭐️ Their story has been anticipated for a while now. As much as you can read this book as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the rest of the series as especially this book includes a lot of inside jokes, it ties some loose ends from other books and gives closure for other MMCs of the other books. Also all former MMCs appear and why would you not want to enjoy that? ✨🥹
It’s a great read, as always the author delivers a mafia romance with fun, whit, low angst, delicious spice! ❤️🔥

1st person POV Dual MM Plot 5/5 Spice 3/5 Burglar / Mafia Man Strict roles Light BDSM Revenge Plot
Alessio and Spettro are the perfect mix of unhinged and sweetness! I was completely hooked on this book! Spettro need for revenge drove him and his body count and the way he moves through without being seem caught up he attention of Alessio. Which then became Alessios obsession!
This book had me on the edge the entire time! I was dying to know more about Spettro and if Alessio could finally gain his trust! Then the biggest shock happen and I was almost in tears! I knew something was going to happen but I did expect that!! ugh so good! I cant wait for the next!!
How do you become a man on the hunt to end the life of an entire gang? Trust me, nothing good leads to it.
Ghost has every reason to end the Sleepless Reapers, but the work doesn’t pay, so he breaks into fancy apartments to make ends meet. Which is how he meets Alessio. He breaks into the mafiaso’s apartment while he’s there! And it doesn’t go how you think (wink wink).
They both become obsessed with the other, but they’re playing a games, Ghost keeping things at arms length. Unable to let people in and unsure how Alessio will react to him being the Ghost.
It’s delicious, tense and tender. I love how they work to build a relationship. Learn to understand each other. And when Ghost meets the rest of Alessio’s family…eeeee! (can’t so more, but damn *chefs kiss*)
