Some fans want an autograph. Some want your life.

The Arctic Circle Murder Club’s true crime podcast is riding high—sold-out tour dates, national attention, devoted fans. But when a desperate woman begs host Andi Slade to help find her missing sister, she can’t turn away.

The case spirals quickly. Days before she vanished, the woman reported a break-in—nothing stolen, no signs of struggle, only a chilling warning that he’d be back. Now she’s gone, and police have dismissed it as a voluntary disappearance.
Andi and her team soon uncover something far worse. This isn’t the first woman to vanish this way. And every city where it’s happened? The podcast had just come through.

Someone is threading himself through their tour, selecting victims and playing a deadly game with rules only he understands. A game where he gives his targets a head start—run while you can—before hunting them down.

As time runs out and the trail grows colder, the team must find the missing woman before she becomes another statistic. Because one question won’t let Andi Why does the killer want them watching?

And what happens when the hunters become the hunted?

Christy Barritt is an author, freelance writer and speaker who lives in Virginia. She’s married to her Prince Charming, a man who thinks she’s hilarious—but only when she’s not trying to be. Christy’s a self-proclaimed klutz, an avid music lover who’s known for spontaneously bursting into song, and a road trip aficionado. She’s only won one contest in her life—and her prize was kissing a pig (okay, okay… actually she did win the Daphne du Maurier Award for Excellence in Suspense and Mystery also). Her current claim to fame is showing off her mother, who looks just like former First Lady Barbara Bush
When she’s not working or spending time with her family, she enjoys singing, playing the guitar, and exploring small, unsuspecting towns where people have no idea how accident prone she is.

By far one of her best books!! I was on the edge of my seat. Then I was thrown off by the twist and turns of who the suspect really was! I had so many on my list and the real person was not there! Then one of the people who was not who they portrayed really blew me away! Great job Christy Barritt! I hope you add another to this series!

Run While You Can

You’d better be Kiev to run while you can. I am and was beyond intrigued by this story. The series of disappearances was so compelling. But of course after reading the previous books in this series I didn’t expect anything else.

Enjoyed this one

But I wish I had a brief description of the main characters-who they are and how they met. Eleven novels now in the series and my memory isn’t what it used to be.

RUN WHILE YOU CAN

The next book in this Series is a heart pounding story from beginning to end.

Andi Slade and her teammates from The Arctic Circle Murder Club are on a 9 city tour to promote The Round Table podcast called "The roundtable Presents: Where the Trail Went Cold"! There are banners with pictures of the group 10 times their size. Fans would buy merchandise from a different table on the other side of the space then bring it to the table where the team was standing & get autographs & photos with everyone. In each city they visited, they picked cold case from that city to talk about.

A woman comes to the table & unlike the majority of the fans, her clothes were rumpled, her jacket half-zipped like she had thrown it on in a hurry. She clutched manila folder tight against her chest, fingers white with strain. Her eyes were puffy & raw & Andi focused on her. She told Andi her younger sister was missing, Gina James, & she thinks something terrible has happened to her. As Pam tells her what she thinks has happened, she also says the police think Gina just left on her own. Andi talks with her privately & as Pam relates what happened, Rupert appears. He was their tour logistics director but was very highstrung & is freaking out that they are " precisely 6 minutes behind.

Even on their tour, cases come to them. What will they find out & are there other women who are missing like this? Love this series!

"Even when you can't see me. Even when you think you're safe. I live in the spaces between your heartbeats, in the shadows you're afraid to check."

Young women; stalked, warned, then disappearing without a trace. For what reason? That's the million dollar question that members of the Artic Circle Murder Club are trying to answer, because as they take their popular podcast on the road for a publicity tour along the West Coast, the dots are connecting in rapid fire succession. Someone is mapping out their destinations.

With limited resources, an ever-changing landscape, and no viable suspects Andi Slade and Duke McAllister pull on every thread of information at their disposal to no avail. Law enforcement is hesitant to take them seriously and their constant travel schedule keeps them at a discouraging disadvantage, unless they can devise a strategy to turn the hunter into the hunted.

There's not one thing that I would change about this book! Every page transports readers faster and faster down a spiraling incline, destined to hit rock bottom unless someone can apply the brakes! Plus, the ending is a five star bonus!

Another All Consuming Book by a Wonderful Author!!

I've been reading Christy's books since meeting Gabby and enjoying her crime scene cleanups and murders she solved. ( You really should read those if you haven't! ) Christy's books are filled to the brim with mystery and so much suspense its hard to put them down until you have devoured every word!!

I have lost count how many of her books I've read but this series is a hard second after Gabby's or perhaps they are tied!! How do you chose one over another when the author is so talented??

I absolutely hope there is more to come in this series, the True Crime Junkies have become my besties and I need to keep up with them!!

Thanks Christy for once again calming my ADHD brain with a story that will roam around in my head for a long while!!

Run While You Can by Christy Barritt is an amazing novel. I have long been a fan of this author’s work and she consistently writes suspenseful novels of high quality. This book is her best yet! The True Crime detectives are in their element on tour of the West Coast and danger lurks around every turn. You don’t want to miss this book! The whole series is amazing. You could read this book as a standalone novel, but why would you want to? Don’t miss out! Catch the whole series. You won’t regret it. I received a digital copy of this book from the author with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

I had a BETA copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. The Arctic Circle Murder club is on a tour of western states when a woman goes missing in each city they visit. As Andi and her team try to find the man abducting the women, they feel they are being watched, and the culprit seems to be one step ahead of them and taunting them. Things escalate when they add an additional stop to the tour where one of their team is abducted. A thrilling story of intrigue that will keep you turning pages to find the answers.

Finally!

This is the 11th book in the True Crime Junkies series, and a lot of territory was covered. It tied up some loose ends, particularly between Andi and Duke. The team is on tour, and everywhere they go some female disappears. Idk what the first victim's fate was, but the second was found deceased. Things escalate and become more dangerous for the team. I had my suspicions about the perp, but when he was cleared I pivoted to the next most suspicious guy and nailed it! Lol

Run While You Can is an excellent addition to the True Crime Junkies series. This is a fast-paced read as the Arctic Circle Murder Club members get drawn into a case involving a missing woman while touring the western coast due to the popularity of their podcast. A woman goes missing in each of the states they toured. This story has twists and turns and surprises and is personal. As always, Barritt had me guessing who the villian was. Another well-done story.

As expected

Predictable? Yes. Enjoyable, yes. Not too scary—cute even? Yes.
I’m kind of glad the series is over, though, because, along with all of Barritt’s other series, it was very tropy and predictable. Same formula, easy to figure out the culprit, etc. But for fans who like a clean mystery, this is what you want.

I enjoy on a far greater level her Squeaky Clean, Hard Rock, and Worst Detective Ever series, but this one was pretty good, too.

"Run while you can" by Christy Barritt begins with a shocking narrative that lets you know that this book is going to be a wild ride! It keeps you guessing as the story twists and turns. The insertion of the kidnapper's point of view throughout the book gives you chills. It reminds me of Alfred Hitchcock in the way the story is crafted by Christy Barritt. Very suspenseful, but not vulgar. It was a great read that I couldn't put down!

Runs run like you know where you are going

Andi and Duke have such a beautiful connection, I've enjoyed watching it grow from the very first book. They have been patient to allow time to heal their wounds, helped a lot of people along the way. Now they are running to something- the future.
Each character brings something new to their circle and their logical thinking keeps you engaged in the story to the very last page. The last page was worth the whole story.

This is a heart-pounding suspense that will keep you turning the pages as fast as you can. Great suspense, great plot, and great characters. I almost got whiplash going back and forth trying to figure out who the “bad guy” was. Whew!!

This is a clean suspense novel, with no bad language and no sex. You really need to read all of them, starting with Just the Nicest Person.

Welcome to the bonus book of True Crime Junkies. The west coast tour for the group goes horribly wrong while the team works diligently to solve cases involved in their destinations. Tension builds to an unthinkable level with much at stake.

Fans will enjoy the team's reunion and determination.

I received a copy of the book without obligation. This review is my opinion.

Just finished this, and did NOT want to put it down! If you have been reading the series, you may think how can the story keep going - but it does! So many twists and turns, and I will be honest - I try to solve the mystery as I read, and this one keeps you guessing. Everything ties together and still has a touch of romance intertwined with murder and mystery. A must read!

In true Barritt fashion, another 5 star read. And I sure hope this story continues! I have become a True Crime Junkie fan. Taking us on a ride with the podcasters as they start their tour was so fun and to include a mystery crime inside that ride was so fun. Thank you Christy Barritt for fun read!

This has got to be the best in the series! Wow! Ms. Barritt writes vividly. Her characters and scenes place you right it the midst of the action, even when you don’t might not want to be there. So, so good.
