Road #2

Road to Redemption

Rate this book
Relocating to Albany, New York, after the death of his wife, Dr. Jack Reynolds has decided he is better off alone. No worries, no headaches, no stress. The last thing he needs is the complication of a tiny redheaded nurse who has her sights set on making him see that life isn’t meant to be lonely.

Cori Summers thinks life is a bowl of cherries––covered in chocolate, that is. She’s fast moving, witty and the life of the party. Why can’t everyone smile throughout the day, just like her? Life is easier that way. No worries, no headaches and no stress.

Yes, opposites really do attract, but is Cori’s big personality enough to overcome all the obstacles that Jack is determined to put in her way?

Mature content, not intended for under 18 years of age.

Each book can be read as a stand alone.

Disappointed

I didn't like this story.I feel like it is so shallow. I expected a bit more of a plot. Maybe the other stories in the series are better.

This is the 2nd book I read by Natalie Ann. I'm sorry I stopped reading this story at chapter 4 because it didn't grab my interest.

Taciturn widower with relationship issues meets bubbly happy girl who tries to coax him out of his shell - yes, it is clear where the story is going, but the way it is told is funny, although not always plausible regarding the protagonists' behaviour.
A lovely read for a warm summer evening.
The only thing that put me off a bit was that after the first third, the editor seems to have lost interest in getting to all the spelling and grammar errors - a pity.

We met Cori in the first book, and delighted this story is about her. Jack notices her the redhair, and eyes that are full of mischief. He needed to move on with his life, and best to do so alone. Ryan was a friend who could persuaded him to be at times a little bit social. When Brooke introduced Cori to the Dr. he seems confused and scared. Which for Cori thought it was cute. If anyone to change Jack to open up it would be Cori. Funny and a good romance to read.

They were total opposites, he slow to react, not smiling and standoffish. She feisty, boisterous, happy natured and skipping wherever she went.
She zeroed in on his pain, his size and overall sex appeal.
He didn't want another relationship, he felt he failed on his last one, and didn't have it in him to go through the lose again.
But the pull of the attraction was there, and she, for one, wasn't giving up on him.
Great story!

Loved it

Cori was a very bubbly personality. She became friends with Brooke when they met in the employee gym. Now they are best fry. Jack is Ryan's best friend and has moved into the area. Cori thinks he hit. Jack is kinda shy but a great doctor. Cori gets rotated to his service and she tries to bring the shyness out. It is a great read.

Road to Redemption (Road Series Book 2)

The love story of Jack and Cari. Cari is a fun love TH who want everyone to be happy. Jack is a very sad and unhappy doctor, he lost his wife and want nothing to do with the world. Can to opposite attract and find love? Ok story.

Sometimes a character annoys me but I can get past it if he/she is not major. However, the female character here is the major female and she is just too annoying to read. If I actually knew her, I'd go out of my way to avoid her.

Good read

Very good read. While the book moved fast, the characters were very well developed and presented with real life problems. They dealt with the problems quickly but very well.

Great book

I loved reading this book. It was very romantic. Even though there was not any fast action or much intrigue, it holds your interest. It is well written.

Funny and sweet

Its funny how the opposites attract. Specially when they are 100% opposites. Love this story. Truth and love wins out in the end.

Another lovely Christmas story to fall into and devour. Plenty of heated sex, chunky doc, a scary nurse. Can combination

They say opposites attract. That is totally the case in this book. Cori has a bubbly personality and talk to everyone. Jack is the complete opposite. He is a introvert. Cori sets her eyes on jack and does everything in her power to get jack to notice her. This is the second but in the series. You don't necessarily have to read " Road to Recovery " but I highly recommend it. Since Brooke and Lucas is mentioned in this book.

I thought this was better than the first book in the series, and I liked the first book. Jack is a guilt ridden widower, because he thinks he should have known that his wife (high school girlfriend) was ill, before it was too late to save her. After all, he is a doctor. But they've grown apart (he works, she likes to go out) and when he discovers a lump on her neck, it is too late to save her.

Cori is a free-spirit. A nurse who excels at her job, has boundless energy, and decides that Jack is too quiet and reserved. Cori sets her sites on Jack and puts herself in his way until he has to notice her.

It is a good story, well thought out, but again there are quite a few errors (extra words) that take away from the story.

Cori and Jack are exact opposites. Cori is vivacious, spontaneous, and a little ditzy. Jack is methodical, dedicated, and a loner. They met at a wedding and liked what they saw. Cori decides to pursue him when he comes to work at her hospital. They meet and what was just a mild attraction becomes a whirlwind. This book is funny and sad at the same time. Cori and Jack have some major hurdles to overcome ( mostly on Jack's part) but you will find yourself hoping that persistence and great sex will push him over the edge and into her arms to stay.

This is my second time reading this book and I loved it as much as the first time.

Jack, Jack, Jack! The quiet silent kind of man who you know is going to be so hot and sexy and boy was he. I absolutely loved Jack and watching Cori unlock him and bring him to life again. I absolutely loved Cori which I really didn't expect too in one way. I thought she would be a partier and not what Jack needed but looks can fool. I love hearing about her outfits each day. She was just wonderful. They made a perfect couple.

All I can say is Jack just made my heart flutter. A totally hot doctor completely clueless to his appeal, not to mention how uncomfortable he was talking to Cori. She was his total opposite in size and personality, but yet they made the perfect couple. Cori's character made me laugh every time she opened her mouth, and she was so animated. I couldn't wait to see what she would do next. I've read all three of Natalie Ann's book and can't wait for the 4th book to come out.

This is the first book I've read by this author and I could not put it down. I love stories like this and I immediately loved the two leads-Jack and Cori. Two opposites who attract in a big way. He's an introvert and she's bubbly and outgoing. Jack is hiding a painful past and is reluctant to let anyone in, telling himself that he's fine being all alone. Cori doesn't want to give up.

This is a great read and I cannot wait to read more from this author.

Great book!

We met Cori in the first book and absolutely fell in love with the quirky funny girl. Jack is an amazing character and they are so opposite of each other that they make sense. It was a thrill reading about their love, I hope we get to see more of them in other books.

Just as good as the first book. Reads fast, characters are very believable. It's great to read a story and be able to relate with their lives and situations. Can't wait to read more.

Really fun read

Cori is a little spitfire. Good read, ok characters. A few times Cori was too immature for the relationship. I will read another in this series.

Another great book

This was another great book is n the series. While each is a stand alone it is best to read in order as they make more sense that way.
