Freed By My Mate by Luna Wilder is the second title in the Night Grove Falls: Midnight Haven series and as a short shifter romance it delivers a good read.
This story is ideal for a breaktime escape and the main characters were engaging.
Abe, a wolf shifter scents his fated mate Roxie, the best friend of the FMC from the first book of the series, as she is being moved to an old house after having been kidnapped by a cult.
Abe needs to protect and care for his human mate Roxie along with convincing her that she is his so that he can claim her. Roxie is uncertain that being a fated mate isn't just trading one captive situation for another.
The story is well paced for the short format and combines enough steam and spice and a little drama to keep you turning the pages to see how their HEA turns out.

This is book number 2 of the Night Grove Falls: Midnight Haven series and focuses on Abe and Roxie. Roxie is Fern’s best friend from book number 1 in the series. While she was trying to get things together for Fern before heading her way, she was taken by the cult that Fern had originally been sold to. When Abe and another member of Midnight Haven found Roxie, the last thing Abe expected was to catch the scent of his mate. He immediately knew that he had to rescue his mate from the cult’s clutches and then work overtime to make sure that his mate was safe, protected, and loved. He just wanted to be the person to show Roxie how much she was loved and how she should be treated while also making sure that she was safe and protected at all times. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

This is the second book in ther series; and even though it can be read by itself, it's best to read in order. There are situations that overlap, but are discussed quickly so you know what happened in the previous book. Enjoyable quick read about shifters with the heat and steam that is expected.

Roxie is kidnapped, Abe saves her. In the epilogues, the cult is dissolved, but we'll need the rest of the series to know how that came about.

This is book 2 in Night Grove Falls: Midnight Haven. A fated mates novella with a wolf shifter and a human. Roxie was mentioned in the first book of the series which was her best friend's story. Abe ix a wolf shifter who scented Roxie after seeing her kidnapped by the cult. The drama with the cult continues on in this series. Luna Wilder's fated mates are my favorite kind: where they each only want their mate even when they are human. Good addition to the series.

Abe is on a patrol when he comes across Roxie fighting for her life. She has been missing and they finally found her. This is how Abe discovers Roxie is his fated mate. After rescuing her, Abe sets out to make Roxie fall in love with him. Such a great story about how even when fate sets the stage, you still have to choose each other.

This is Roxie’s story who was mentioned in the first book. She has been kidnapped by the cult that best friend Fern had been sold to. When Midnight Haven pack member Abe scents her he realises she is his fated mate. Once rescued, Roxie is scared that she is being put in another controlling situation and I loved how much Abe resisted crowding her and giving her all the space she needed to choose him. Loved the conversations he had with his wolf. They made me laugh.

Abe and Roxie’s story has them coming together when he sees her being kidnapped and rescues her. He knows she’s his fated but she’s human and doesn’t know he’s a wolf shifter. But the cult drama is still there keeping you ready for the next book. Short drama packed, danger filled, chemistry filled, paranormal story.

Abe is one of the ones to spot her and when her scent reaches him, he recognized her as his mate. I liked the rescue operation and how after Abe and Roxie reached a workable compromise that allowed both to be happy together.

Abe/Roxie holy cow you two. Get a room..oh wait you did. Great 2nd book in the series. Do you need to read the first....no but why wouldn't you. You get some of Roxie in the first and understand a little more about what is going on. Great book and now I am ready for book 3,4,5 and so on.

Roxie and Abe were hot in this novella. When she gets grabbed in the woods and Abe sees, he goes after them to save her. Not only that, her scent screams to him fated mate. So he went after what’s his. This book packed danger, action, and spice into the perfect amount of pages. Nothing was left out and nothing felt surface level. This was a prefect quick read.

Roxie, the female lead in this read, was introduced in the first book in the series and in this story, she is finally freed from captivity as she finds her fated mate. Being human adds an interesting element to the story along with all the heat that comes with shifter romances.

I liked this quick read. This is Roxie and Abe's romance. My interest was captured and maintained well with the blend of danger, drama, action spice and emotion. Could be read as a standalone but I recommend reading in order to get maximum enjoyment and understanding.

Roxie gets swept up in the cult nightmare kicking and screaming, so luckily Abe and the Midnight Haven group could bring her home in time. A sweet and spicy short read with tears and HEA!.

This was a good second book for this series. Rosie was taken by the cult. As soon as Abe sees her, he knows,she is his. These two together are great. I liked Abe how protective he was. Although some of it was a bit much. I really look forward to the next book in this series!
