Endless Doubt is book 1 in the Bluebonnet Ridge series. It is a small town, contemporary romance but it does touch on twhedark topic of domestic abuse and loss of a child.
Wren's story is gut wrenching and heartbreaking. Enduring abuse from her ex husband for as long as she can take it until he almost killed her. But what's worse is that she lives in a town where he is basically known as the golden boy, so even though he was abusive, the whole town had his back believing that he wasn't that type of man and that he would never do the things that he did to Wren. Wren even had to seek medical attention in another town because of how brain washed the town was over her ex.
But she's out now, escaped his clutches and making a new life while he's in jail. But he's about to get out. And he's not happy that she's found someone to move on with. Ford has always had a crush on Wren and wanted to pursue something with her, but wanted to give her space and time to heal from what she went through. He is kind, sweet, tender and patient with her and finally breaks through. But just when things are going great for them, Wren's ex is back to wreak havoc on their lives.
The story is heartbreaking, but Wren is a survivor and comes out on top of it all, finding her voice and standing up for herself and what's right. The only thing I didn't enjoy about this story was Wren's character herself. While she is a survivor and went through some tough things, I found her character to be a bit immature. After everything she went through, I felt like she should have been a bit more mature. I mean, yes, stand up for yourself and don't let people talk about you, but the things that she would say made her seem immature and way younger than she was portrayed.
Aside from that, the story is intriguing and keeps you hooked.

Endless Doubt is a raw, emotionally charged small‑town romance that tackles domestic violence, trauma, and the long, uneven path toward healing. Wren’s past is heartbreaking — losing her child to her abusive husband’s violence a decade earlier — and Steele handles her grief and guardedness with care.

Ford, the man who has loved her quietly for years, brings a steady, patient warmth to the story. Their dynamic is a compelling mix of stubbornness, tension, slow‑burn trust, and genuine tenderness. Watching Wren wrestle with her fear while Ford tries to break through her walls is both painful and hopeful.

Zara, Ford’s cousin, adds sharp humor and fierce loyalty, giving the story extra spark and grounding the heavier themes.

The small‑town setting — complete with a beloved “golden boy” ex who hides monstrous behavior — adds pressure, conflict, and a sense of claustrophobia that works well with the plot.

This is a story about survival, second chances, and choosing hope even when it feels dangerous. Fans of small‑town romance and cowboy energy will find plenty to love here. Trigger warnings are essential, but the emotional payoff is worth it.

Another novella that has it all..romance, drama, tension, spice. I loved everything about this one!!!
This one has a huge emotional start... And discusses some very heavy topics.
Uggghhh Wren... 😭 My heart just absolutely bleeds for her and everything she went through. The trauma, abuse, and loss she endured 💔 Her strength and courage is displayed throughout this.
Then you have Ford ♥️ his determination and patience is absolutely note worthy throughout this. They clearly have a connection in the beginning and throughout all the emotions, and ups and downs just continues to grow. He had me saying awwwwwwww so many times 😍😍

Highly reccomend this one! It's a shorter read and packed full of banter, tension, drama, romance. It's Soo good! It's so real and raw 🥺 full of loyalty and recovery showcasing Wren as a Phoenix rising from ashes. Ford being the patient, loyal protector. Ugh this was phenomenal. ♥️

✔️Small town romance
✔️Best friends cousin
✔️friends to lovers
✔️Fresh start
✔️Reverse Grumpy/sunshine
✔️protective MMC
✔️Second chance

Endless Doubt
By: Delilah Steele
4⭐️

As always, thank you to Delilah Steele for allowing me the opportunity to read your books

This was another good book, great for if you just want a quick read with an equal amount of spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️

The pain and suffering Wren endured was just so much for one person, having to live with that loss and the fear of something always being in the shadows. She is so strong though, to embrace that she is a survivor and become stronger like a phoenix rising from the ashes. She grew to finally be herself!

Ford was so determined to prove that love is something to be cherished and he was so patient with Wrens healing but also oh so persistent in knowing what they are both craving. He is what every woman wants in a partner, someone so attentive and can read you like a book!

I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader for this book—thank you!

This story truly has it all: romance, tension, spice and drama all wrapped up in a short, addictive read.

Wren is a strong, resilient female lead who has been through more than her fair share, yet she never loses her fire. When Ford re-enters her life, the chemistry between them is instant and intense. He’s determined, patient and unapologetically drawn to her—pushing her just enough to make her walls crack while never letting her forget how badly he wants her.

Their connection is charged with longing, stolen moments, and a slow-burning heat that builds beautifully. Add in a touch of drama, plenty of emotional tension and a satisfying happily-ever-after and you’ve got a story that delivers on every level.

A steamy, feel-good, easy read that I flew through and thoroughly enjoyed.

The beginning of this book has you feeling such raw emotions such a great start. I think every woman out there can relate to missing/ignoring red flags when we think we love someone and blaming ourselves. I love Wren and Ford rhey don't half get hot and steamy also shoes you can find love when not looking for it. Ford is amazing and shows ther after all the trauma she went threw that she's still worth loving and caring for. and we can heal with the help of the right person. But it's not smooth sailing as her EX gets out of prison and believes that she's is his. But what's a good plot without some drama and heart aches. The ending was utterly perfect

Man oh Man!!!!

I was lucky enough to read this one as an ARC as well. This one sucked me in from the beginning and im pretty sure even after i stopped reading it last night, i was DREAMNING about it!! I couldn't wait to finish it today! I will be reading any and all books that Miss Delilah Steele writes

Ford and Wren.. Man oh man, childhood friends to soulmates.. that is the best way to describe it. The romantic suspense of this book had me on my toes. Wren goes through entirely too much for someone to go through, but the BANTER between her, Ford, and Zara is off the charts!!! (By the way i am 110% behind a Zara and Tyler book)

First thing I have to say is read the triggers before reading this book. It was not a problem for me but I am sure it can be for some people. This story caught me from the very beginning so much so I read it in just a few hours.

Now this story has it all, romance, emotions, loss, fear, happiness.
Both these characters should have been together from the beginning but how life works out it wasn’t meant to be early on but their souls found themselves when the time was right. I must say Ford (MMC) was a fantastic man, he gave her patience, love and understanding to piece her back together.

This story is worth reading. I do not want to get to deep in fear of sharing too much.

I feel grateful for the chance to be part of the ARC team for Endless Doubt by Delilah Steele. This book was a riveting read that drew me in from the very beginning. I devoured this book in one sitting and was eager for more from the characters in the book. The story revolves around Wren, who has shown incredible resilience in the face of adversity after her ex-husband's unthinkable actions. The narrative focuses on Ford, who returns to his hometown to stay with his cousin for a fresh start after a mistake at his previous job. Ford has long loved Wren from a distance and intends to finally make a move, having given her time to heal from her past trauma.

This book is a good read but deals with some heavier topics so please check warnings before reading in case it triggers you. The book is both heart warming and heart breaking with some spicy scenes in there as well. I love how well Wren and Ford fit together as a couple and how patient Ford was with her. I loved how close Wren and Zara are and was constantly smiling at their bantering. Dan will make you want to punch him in the face at least that’s how I felt about him! Overall it was a good book just please make sure you know you can handle the contents before diving in!

This is a story of survival and moving on while taking things at your own pace. Wren lost everything the night she lost her daughter, Haven. But now ten years later her best friend's cousin Ford comes back to town, and she finds herself trying to trust and love again. The chemistry between the characters is sweet, romantic, and electric. The plot is intriguing, and the side characters are as written and a part of story as the MCs. This book is an emotional rollercoaster but is worth the ride. Be sure to read trigger warnings before reading this book.

Well shit! That beginning had me all kinds of emotional, thinking of my 4 angel babies! My oldest would have been turning 16. Yes, when you lose a baby all those questions are in your mind all day every day.
Great second chance read. Loved how Ford was patient with Wren but also knew what he wanted. I wish Dan would have gotten a little more than just that beating from Ford, he took the easy way out (punk ass). I can't wait for book two!

Wren picks herself back up and goes about life just serving after the trauma and heartache she went through from her ex husband Dan.

Ford is trying to start over fresh after an annoying women who is obsessed with him won’t leave him alone. He has always loved wren.

Will ford break down wren’s walls and show her what true love is? Will Dan get released from jail and leave wren alone?

10/10 recommend this book. Well written and will have you on an emotional roller coaster ride.

More people need to read stories like this!
We need to have the tools, the patience Like Ford did to help people like Wren.
Yes, I'm not saying women, because I'm betting, some men face something similar.

How to gather the strength it takes to move on...

I'm swooning really hard for Ford!
He is one amazing person!

I broke, and then I was put back together!

Wren goes through a lot of emotional turmoil. She's dealing with a lot of bad things that have happened in her past. Trusting someone is a struggle for her but Ford is up for the challenge and lets her know he is there for her. A bit of an emotional read at times.

After all she has been through Wren has come out stronger then ever. With the help of Ford (a real softie) the two navigate and help each other. Through all of the ups and downs, Wren and Ford have that spark that continues to grow between them. This book made me laugh, cry and feel all of the emotions the characters were feeling.

Wren suffers the most horrendous treatment at the hands of her sleazy ex-husband. Ford has always wanted Wren and when he moves to stay with his cousin Zara he wants to make Wren his.

This small town romance with toxic residents is full of tension, trauma and danger as Wren and Ford seek their HEA.

I got this book as an ARC. I absolutely love the second chance/small town romance in this book. Ford is so protective and loving of the main character. Warning for those who can't handle abuse and miscarriage it does contain detail. I love that Ford and the main character got their happily ever after in the end.
