“Five." “Four." “Three.” “Two. “One.” “Happy New Year!”
Last New Year’s Eve, Noelle Dawson was still riding the high of an epic Christmas Eve tryst while lounging about in her cozy pajamas and watching the NYC ball drop. This year, she’s masked, all dolled up, properly boozed—all while doing her best to avoid thinking about the two men she spent most of the year accidentally (and disastrously) falling for.
Nick Cross and his stepson Klaus weren’t supposed to become a habit. They weren’t supposed to become feelings, either. And after ghosting them both to avoid one of the hardest choices of her life—choosing between them—they definitely weren’t supposed to show up at her company’s Masked at Midnight masquerade ball.
Yet here they are…like two ghosts of Christmas past. In tuxedos. Masked. Circling her orbit again like the Universe personally invited them.
Noelle made herself a no repeats, no regrets. But resolutions tend to crumble when confronted by six feet of irresistible charisma and another six feet of painfully earnest longing.
Turns out, these men will do whatever it takes to keep her… And when the clock strikes midnight, the fireworks won’t be just in the sky.
Dee Garcia is a voracious fan of romance novels and a long time lover of the written word. Her mission is to craft unique, compelling stories that will give her readers a place to briefly escape the trials and tribulations of everyday reality. With headstrong heroine's who don't need a man to stand on their own two feet, Dee hopes to leave her mark in the Indie world, one plot twist at a time.
Ummm well!! This didn't end up quite well for me.. Maybe i had expectations which this didn't match.. Nahhh my expectation was not anything like a good story and stuff.. But somewhere it felt really repetitive...🤐 Also bringing many comments same as the previous books and it felt the same stuff is happening again and again in different setup.. Maybe it might feel good to the ones who read this book the first.. As for me felt kinda bored tbh...🥱
A real ball busting way to end the series. I'm happy I read it this close to New Years. Plus we got an ending to one of our favorite MFM relationships.
Let’s just say the fireworks won’t be limited to the sky. 💥🔥
This novella is a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it kind of hot—fast, fiery, and just a tiny bit plotty thanks to our favorite troublemakers from Bad Santas. Can you read it without the first book? Sure. Should you? Only if you enjoy denying yourself peak chaos.
Clocking in at 50 pages, this story picks up immediately after Bad Santas and answers the question we were all asking: okay but what happens next??
Nick Cross and his stepson Klaus were never meant to be more than a moment. Or a mistake. Or—oops—feelings. After ghosting both men to avoid choosing between them, Noelle definitely didn’t expect them to reappear at her company’s midnight masquerade ball.
And yet… here they are. Like two very attractive ghosts of Christmas past. In tuxes. With masks. 🎭
Noelle swore: no repeats, no regrets. But resolutions tend to crumble when faced with six feet of devastating charm… times two.
One thing’s for sure—these men are done letting her run. And when the clock strikes midnight? Let’s just say the fireworks won’t be limited to the sky. 💥🔥
This is a short novella at just 50 pages, picking up right after Bad Santas and giving readers an update on what happens next. I really enjoyed the added insight into whether they all ended up together, none of them did, or if it was somewhere in between.
I felt for Noelle. After one intense night with three men, she’s left wanting more. But when things start to feel complicated, she panics and runs, cutting off contact and ignoring their messages. That doesn’t sit well with them, and after a month of no communication, they come back determined to get what they want—her.
I didn’t enjoy this one quite as much as the first, but I did appreciate getting a little more of their story. Overall, this was a 3.5-star read for me.

Another really quick under an hour novella. Just like with Bad Santas, if you are looking for a hallmark style book, this ain't it. Pure spice revolving around New Years Eve time. Again, not a terrible read but would've liked to see what it would be like if it were a full length book.
Noelle and her men (from book 1) have sort of gone their separate ways. Not by their choice. Or hers, really. Although it could be argued that the current separation between them is entirely her fault. To be fair, she couldn't choose between Nick and Klaus and both of them expressed that they wanted different things than she did and so she did the only thing she could think to do. Which was to cut and run and avoid both their calls.
That didn't work so great because now BOTH her men have shown up at her company's New Year's masquerade ball and they are testing the LIMITS of her New Year's resolution before the new year has even begun.
Yep, Noelle might have gone radio silent, but she's still into her two hunks and while her brain is telling her they have to sort some things out, her body is giving ALL the green lights on what they want to do.
A fun (and entirely sex-ay) night is had by all and her two dudes are willing to make some compromises if it means keeping her in their lives. What compromise does Noelle have to make? Well, she has to trust that sometimes things work out exactly the way someone might want them to and a girlie might end up with two hunky dudes entirely dedicated to making sure she enjoys herself. *thumbs up* all around!
Dee Garcia does it again, with this New Year’s Eve novella where we see Noelle return with more drama from her masked men from last Christmas. Second chance dark romance filled with spice - Happy New Year! Noelle’s new year starts with a bang! Quite literally 🥵 and I’m here for it. I know I skipped 3 of the other novellas but I want to read them to fit the seasons, the next one I’ll read will be Cupid’s chokehold for Valentine’s Day - because I cannot get enough of Dee’s work!
the first read of 2026 for me, as my plans to read this on New Years Eve was taken over by socialising and movies with my loved ones, but even at 4am it was still a very fitting and enjoyable read as a fan of unhinged, masked men, dark romances filled with smart mouth one liners and attitude. The perfect end to Bad Santas, but if you’re looking for a plot - you won’t find one! Dee has handed us another 53 page novella packed only with unhinged spice for that quick read filled with all the spice! Sweet in its own kinda way! Definitely an auto buy author for me going forward!
This is a continuation of Bad Santas, and the story now takes place on New Year’s Eve, just hours before the fireworks and the start of a new year. It still revolves around Noelle, Nick, and Klaus.
I was leaning toward Klaus at first. He gives off that “soft under all the armor” vibe, like he might actually be the safer and sweeter option. But then Nick completely caught me off guard. The way he communicated with Noelle, expressed his feelings clearly, and even showed growth by changing his values and priorities made him stand out so much more.
I genuinely thought Noelle would make a final choice by the end, so when she didn’t, I won’t lie, it let me down a little. I wanted closure. I wanted decisiveness. But at the same time, I kind of get it. The agreement felt mutual, intentional, and surprisingly healthy for something that started out this unhinged.
Overall, this novella was entertaining, and messy. I don’t even have deep thoughts, just vibes, and confusion.

A quite literal why choose/second chance spicy holiday novella… or diet bdsm with 2 partners and Christmas lights.
This is on me that didn’t look into the book for what it would entail and reading it on a whim for upcoming New Years (I read Slash or Smash but not Bad Santas), but apparently it’s a sequel to the latter and the two MMCs are father and son???😳 It reads fine as a stand-alone, but just be aware that that is the dynamic we’re working with in this novella. I also really felt for the poor FMCs “work wife” doing her best to help… and to no avail *sighs* but I guess everyone’s happy in the end, so good for them?
If all of this sounds like a good time for you… go for it. It’s written fine and the FMC is an easy self-insert character. Happy Holidays to all you freaks out there!
Midnight Mischief by Dee Garcia was an instant yes for me. 🎆🔥
I read Bad Santas earlier this month and absolutely loved it, so when I found out she wrote a NYE book too? I was already reaching for my Kindle. Then I realized it has the same characters and I was 100% sold.
Read it in under an hour. Devoured. Inhaled. Gone.
This book is dirty AF 🥵 do not come here expecting a lot of plot, because that is not the mission. The mission is vibes, filth, and having a very good time, and it delivers exactly that.
Just like Bad Santas: ✨ same energy ✨ same people ✨ same warning
DO. NOT. READ. IN. PUBLIC. 🚨📵
5 stars No notes. Just chaos, spice, and a very happy reader. 💥📖🔥
Would you rather have 2 Masked Men or a Father- Son duo? 𝓦𝓱𝔂 𝓒𝓱𝓸𝓸𝓼𝓮?! 🤭 End the old year with a 𝓑𝓪𝓷𝓰 and 𝓔𝓭𝓰𝓮 on into the new year with this continuation from “𝐵𝒶𝒹 𝒮𝒶𝓃𝓉𝒶𝓈”. ⑤ ④ ③ ② ① 🅾🅾🅾🅾🅷🅷🅷 😮💦
This book picks up just over a year after Noelle’s first interaction with Nick and Klaus. It was just supposed to be a one time thing last Christmas Eve. But the sex was too good and then someone had to go and catch feelings. That’s when things took a turn. Nothing a filthy night of debauchery can’t fix, tho. This is short, SPICY, and to the point. 🥵🌶️ Start 2026 off steamy ♨️
After months of silence, Noelle comes face-to-face with the two men she ghosted—Klaus and Nick. She walked away because she couldn’t choose just one… she wanted them both. New Year’s Eve is supposed to be about fresh starts, but instead Noelle is forced to confront the past in a fiery, forbidden reunion. When Klaus and Nick track her down, long-buried desire and unresolved feelings collide. Is this reckless reunion the beginning of their happily ever after—or proof that some temptations are better left behind? 3/5 🌶️
This is a continuation of Bad Santas, the first book in The Festive ASF Series by Dee Garcia. I loved this spicy little number and was so pleased to get more of these characters.
She was ready to start the new year independent and confident.... Well Nick and Klaus had a totally different plan! They hunt her down at her office news year party, after she cut them off months before.
The Christmas lights return and so does all the spicy goodness you got from book one. My only downside was I wished it was longer!
Perfect super short & smutty read for this holiday season.🎊🥂
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
I loved getting to see the continuation of the Bad Santa’s character’s stories & also loved the ending of their story in this novella.🖤🎅 As always, Dee’s vividly descriptive setting & spectacularly written spice make this a fun, entertaining, wild ride!🖼️🌶️ If you have not already read the preceding novellas in the Feative AF series; I also recommend reading them.🎅💘☘️🎃
Midnight Mischief by Dee Garcia is the perfect New Year’s treat. It is short, hot, and impossible to put down. This novella delivers all the tension, chemistry, and mischief you’d expect when the clock strikes midnight. The vibes are festive, flirty, and unapologetically spicy, making it the ideal quick read to ring in the New Year. If you loved Bad Santas and want a little extra heat to start the year off right, this one absolutely delivers.
A quick smutty new years read to kick off 2026! And a continuation of Bad Santa’s that I read last month!
Daddy & stepson put their issues aside in order to keep Noelle in their lives…
After she ghosted them in October cause things were getting complicated, both guys crash her work New Year’s party to win her back! And they do! Yay happy New year!
Dee Garcia does it again in this continuation of Bad Santas. Bad Santas left you wanting more in every way, but this book leaves you wanting more plot, more of Klaus, Nick, & Noelle’s love story. Id love a longer story that lets us see how this all plays out, gives us more smut, & tells us how this unlikely threesome work it all out!
This is a spicy quick read revolving around Noelle, Nick & Klaus from Bad Santas. This book is definitely not going to be for everyone, so be aware going in. Noelle decides to cut ties with Nick and Klaus because she wants to be with both men and Nick doesn’t want a relationship, but Klaus does want a relationship with Noelle.
The perfect conclusion to an amazing series of shorts!! Coming full-circle, our girl and her guys put it all on the line and absolutely deliver. Midnight Mischief was sexy and fun, and honestly makes me want to go buy something sparkly and hit the town on NYE!
This was just as good as the first one! It was a great addition to the first story and gave us a conclusion? To what was started in bad Santa’s . I loved the outcome of their story and honestly would love to see more come of it because these two books have been completely hot and amazing.
The christmas one was better. This one seemed rushed and not as eventful as the Xmas one. It was a quick smutty read though. It feels like every time a three-way happens in books, its rushed and its over before anyone, including the reader, can process and enjoy it
