When crime reporter Jack Stern brings to Maggie Lee’s attention that someone she once helped has been arrested for being a porch pirate, she feels obligated to solve the mystery of the missing packages.
Assisted by Rowdy, the teenage raccoon who believes herself to be a semi-professional thief, and Mike, the tough guy crow with a penchant for pilfering shiny things, Maggie tracks down the real robber. And inadvertently stumbles into a ring of ruthless criminals who aren’t just greedy…they’re evil.
Once again I am astounded by all that happens in Maggie Lee's world. She barely sleeps or eats, yet she never fails to support her family! This exciting book had everything imaginable thrown on her shoulders, yet everything was resolved. I loved the combination of animals that assisted her as she brought down porch pirates, prevented a double homicide, thereby exposing a murderer, located two kidnapped victims, helped multiple members of her family, supported the first yoga class her aunt taught, and more! I LOVE this series, especially Maggie, all the animals, family members, her friends, and most of all Nat Hunting! Each book is a wonderful blend of characters, animals, and intrigue!
This is another fun caper featuring our favorite hitwoman. Maggie finds herself juggling many balls in this novel - everything from a porch pirate stealing medications to a monster ordering her to kill someone. Add in the crazier than usual family hijinxs and you'd better hold on tight because it's a wild ride. Despite all the insane situations, Maggie somehow seems to be the most mature member of her family. Fans of the genre will love this one. The author is on my must read authors' lit.
Maggie takes on another job for Delveccio, and helping Jack Stern, sleep isn’t happening. This series is pure chaos in the best possible way — packed with family drama, sharp banter, and laugh-out-loud moments from start to finish. I’m already counting down to Maggie’s next wild adventure!
This book was packed with adventure and familial love. Animal love always comes into play with Maggie but this book shows all of us how a little love goes a long way.
