I don't regret reading this at all. It was a worthwhile read. But the pacing was still so horrible. The author really needs a good editor and stop putting such big books out whether honestly no plot progress happens for many many chapters or an entire book.
I'm reading along just cause Diana is voiced by Marissa Clay which happens to be my favourite narrator.
I will recommend for people to just not start this series at all. It's one of the worst slow burns. Only get into this if you are ready for a longtime of hurt to read through.

I would have rated this a 5 star listen as I did the first graphic audiobook save for Diana annoying AF! Being way too cruel, harsh, stubborn, nonsensical, ridiculous, ughhhhhh, for tooooooooooo long. Way too blinded by her sister’s death and misplaced blame. Common conflict in books but this one was waaaaaay too dragged out and frustrating. Samkiel was sooooo patient and understanding. No matter how much he did and he did a lot, she constantly misunderstood? Pushed him away and ea a royal bit*h. I struggled soooooooooooooo much to not DNF this book! Ans real talk I don’t want to continue the series after this book. Samkiel is ♥️♥️, so patient and the best! She way doesn’t deserve him.

I love Dianna and Samkiel so damn much. Samkiel’s flirting and Dianne’s rage in this one was everything I love re experiencing it through my ears. Know what else I liked experiencing through my ears? Kaden’s. Fucking. Voice!!!!!! Oh my god Rayner Gabriel could read me anything and I would listen to it. He’s making me fall in love with Kaden (yes it’s toxic idc fight me) so excited for the next part and for Dianna and Samkiel to be back together.

Apart from Diana being in her vengeance era this particular installment is slow and repetitive. I’m sure part 2 will amp it up and we will see some more engaging action.
I would be keen to see Samkiel stop acting like such a limp noodle.

I loved the audio itself, but the story thus far has been long and dragging. The 5 stars are for the voice actors.

This was more of “throne of broken plot”!! I was very disappointed as I walked into this with deep love for book of Azriel.., i will leave the detail review on the book version, not dramatized adaptation.
The back and forth between timeline and characters was done poorly. I never understood Diana anger toward Samkiel, and it felt like was just there to create an artificial enemy to lover suspense. Samkiel on-way obsession is not based on anything deep, so the story keeps repeating shallow things. I hate the only reason for love being a “mate” in any storyline.

I've been listening to the Graphic Audio version of this series. It's 100% the way to go. I usually would wait for the second half to be released, but something told me I wouldn't be binge reading this series.
The first half to the second book was not the type of book I wanted to listen to for 12 hours. I thought the first book was okay, but the angst between Diana and Samkiel wasn't so bad.
The Angst between Diana and Samkiel in utterly ridiculous. Diana JUST GET OVER IT!!!!
The entire audio was Diana being, mean, cruel, crazy and killing like crazy. Her off-handed comments and one-liners were so stupid, I started to think... maybe this isn't the writing style I am looking for.
Diana made the book so awful for me. I don't know how I survived 12 hours of trying to get revenge. Samkiel is willing to do ANTYHING to "save" Diana and I'm thinking.. is this even for-real? and that's asking a lot considering it's a fantasy novel.

Graphic Audio always does an amazing job whenever they do an audiobook! Absolutely love their performances, and can never go wrong with them!
I will say though, the story I am struggling a little bit with. Overall, I really do enjoy the story. The romance between Samkiel and Diana is very sweet when it has its moments, though this book they're a little far and few between. That doesn't make this book bad though- this is an entertaining revenge story. However, I will say, I am pretty sure that I had the same scene just with different characters over and over again. It is feeling a little bit repetitive. Though I can understand the intention behind this since healing from grief and lashing out can take time, I feel as though I am just listening to the same scene over and over again. It's getting a little bit stale.
I am still enjoying the story overall and am excited for the second part to release in September! I hope that the story is a little less repetitive when it comes out! I can't wait to listen to the wonderful cast!

This series is a true enemies to lovers with a slow burn in an intricate world. I love that the FMC is the broken cinnamon roll and SHE is the morally grey baddy! (Ok fine, he’s a baddy too, but she’s more likely to rip your heart out through your throat). This series literally has it all and I can’t wait to see where it goes!

The way I ate this up, I was so READY for Dianna's villain era and hearing it through the graphic audio absolutely broke my heart and blew my mind at the same time. It's almost like with the graphic audio you can hear more of her inner turmoil, I just adore how she said "remember I tried to be good once" - it really hit me in the feels. I adored this graphic audio probably more than Book 1 - mainly because I was dealing with some grievances when I switched to this book and to relate to a main character so much and to feel like I've been where she has been, feeling the turmoil, rage and anger is something else.
10000/10 - I actually finished Book 2 with the normal audio because the second part wasn't out yet, but I can't wait to go back and finish it.
I want Book 3 and Book 4 ASAP please!

If you've been following me for a while, you'll know that my favourite way to experience audiobooks is through @graphicaudio. The full cast, sound effects and cinematic music completely immerse you in the story—it feels like you're watching a movie with your eyes closed.
After everything that happened in the last book, I couldn't wait to see how Diana would react to Gabby's death... and it did not disappoint. Her grief felt so raw and true to her character. The rage, the guilt, the self-blame, the destruction, and the thirst for revenge were all exactly what I expected, and it made every moment so emotional.
And then there's Liam (Samkiel)... 🥹 He has my whole heart. His unwavering loyalty and love for Diana are everything. He gives me major "touch her and die" energy (with a sprinkle of golden retriever devotion), and I absolutely love that no matter what Diana says or does, he's determined to fight for her.
Now I'm desperately waiting to dive into Part 2 because I need to know what happens next!

I hate to say it but her obsession with protecting her sister makes her so weak and vulnerable and I feel like Gabby wouldn’t want her to be sulking like she is right now and it’s actually quite irritating to listen to.
I felt like even this part 1 was long which makes me think they the entire book is WAYY too long to convey the story. Day, weeks, months went by and “nothing” really happened. Everything just got worse. So— not sure how it’s going to end or where this series is really going but since only part 1 came out, I will be finishing the book through reading!!
I did find the other characters more interesting as AVN included their perspectives so looking forward to that!

I really enjoyed the first half of this story. I just realised that the second half has not been done in graphic audio yet, so I may have to read the book to finish it.
It was hard to see Dianna and Samkiel apart and at odds throughout this book. I was hoping they would reconcile much quicker.
I really love all the voice actors and especially loved having new character povs including Kaden.

I really enjoyed this one. I knew Diana would be going on a rampage this book. The fact that Samkiel never gives up on her though… he defends her at every bad decision she makes cuz he knows she’s just lost her humanity and needs to be brought back (it’s giving Vampire Diaries lol). The plot in this one could be tighter, and I know this is just half of the book technically but it was super long for not much to have progressed story wise. Anyway, I enjoyed it and I’m excited for part 2 to release soon!

The first audio adaptation was incredible! I was SO happy to see the 2nd one released! However, I feel like honestly, the piano in the background of every other scene did not fit the vibe… at all. It really pulled me out of it. The writing was okay - but the pacing was odd and very strung out. I was getting whiplash over Dianna’s thoughts about Samkiel. Kaden’s voice was nice. Lowkey wished there was more of it lol. Will persevere with part 2 when I can be bothered 😕

Talk about feminine rage at its finest!?! I of course love the graphic Audiobook version of any story. I am sad that I have to wait for part two now though. Although this did end at a good spot. Diana and her revenge murder spree was definitely top notch action. I look forward to see what happens next.

Samkiel and Diana need couple's therapy. Samkiel has got to be the most patient/ forgiving guy in the world and Diana is just plain f-ed up in her grief. Of course, it doesn't help when Caden pulls the strings on Diana's already fraught mental state. But I love this series and all the characters (except the evil ones!). On to part 2...

Arrrrrr I have to wait for part 2. It’s too far away! Absolutely love this book the plot, world building and characters are mint. 👑🌟🥇 All the narrators are sublime but Diana and Samkiel … amazing ❤️❤️ Loved the first book and I knew I’d love this too.

I am really enjoying this story so far. I am so glad I am listening to the graphic audio. The cast and sound effects really bring the story to life.
I was waiting to see how Dianna was going to deal with Gabby’ death. She didn’t disappoint. Her rage and revenge were spot on. Starting part 2 now.
