A grumpy recluse. A runaway bride. One bed. One fake marriage. One very real obsession.
I was supposed to marry a man my family chose. A cold, calculated deal to erase their debts. Instead, I ran and crashed into a cabin in the middle of nowhere. Where I met him. Gabriel Thorn. Way too hot for someone who writes murder and lives like a ghost. He didn’t want me here. But he didn’t throw me out either. We said it was just to get me out of a bad deal. We said it didn’t mean anything. But now I’m tangled in his sheets, his life, and his arms, and the man who swore he’d never love again? Looks at me like I’m the only story worth telling.

I liked how these two met, the back and forth between them, their connection and chemistry, and the attempts at resting. I also liked finding out about them both and seeing them come together.

A fun and quick read with enough spice to keep you warm. That’s exactly what this novella delivered. She’s running from an arranged marriage, and he’s tucked away in a cabin to write and forget life for awhile. Then she comes blowing through the door due to a storm. He didn’t want her there but wasn’t going to put her out either. I found this to be a cozy, naughty read that warmed me up nicely.
