A Christmas time mystery raises it's ugly head at the Wildflower Inn located in the picturesque town of Sierra Hills, California. Sophie, a staff member of the Inn, is unexpectedly thrust into a mystery when her antique store owner friend Leo feels threatened. After finding and buying his grandmothers brooch at an auction, he hides the brooch and disappeared. What follows is an interesting mini-history lesson with family economics of their lives thrown in. Centered around a large family and their former family mansion, Sophie finds herself immersed in the mystery.
Fun and fascinating, the story also has some potential romantic moments that I would love the author to expand! Wonderful characters and charming setting combined with the mystery made it a quick read and left me wanting more stories!
This is the third book of the series, and although I started with this book, I didn't have any trouble with continuity. However I did decide to start at the beginning of the series to enjoy more of the mysteries involving the Inn. Delightful book!

I just think I need to schedule of trip to this inn. It sounds like a homey place with friendly staff. Sophie is still staying at the inn. She finds a brooch on her pillow from the antique dealer she has befriended. Where did the brooch originally come from and why has the dealer disappeared. It is the prime holiday shopping so why would the antique shop be closed? Sophie is curious and starts looks for clues. What a good story!

What a fun read! The humorous opening about the Christmas decorations causing some frustration is funny and true. This relatable moment hooked me and I couldn’t put the book down. Definitely this fast fun read deserves five stars, if not more.

When Sophie finds a mysterious note with a Victorian brooch left on her pillow, inside her locked room the mystery begins. This is the perfect holiday mystery. With each guest at the inn, the list of possibilities are endless. With Max and Jessie at her side, and the mysterious disappearance of the local jeweler The search for clues begins. A quick read in the series that just keeps getting better. I received an advanced readers copy of this book

Sophie gets drawn into a mystery during the Christmas season. I actually felt like I was a guest at the Inn and with Sophie while trying to solve the mystery. It does get a little tense when danger follows her. Love how the community has taken in Sophie and treated her as one of their own. Just a touch of romance.
