What a great read! Page after page of action, wonderful characters, exciting new creatures – not to forget those shocking grindragons! They are huge, scary and deadly. A threat to friend and foe alike, and not at all fussy about who they eat. Why are they invading? Who let them out? Surely there’s a spell somewhere to fix this?
We follow Brave’s travels south through the forest to a southern tower, where enlightenment surprises. All the while True is fighting a foggy memory and unsure who to trust in this strange world she’s ended up in.
You turn the pages, happy to move between Brave and True’s adventures. No doubt they’ll come together in Book Five as they battle to wipe their homeland clear of the dreaded grindragons – but will they? Surely there’s a spell, somewhere, to clear up this mess?
Beautiful prose, fun times, I can’t’ wait to read Book Five.

The fourth book in the Broken Spell book series changes the game somewhat with champions 'Brave' and 'True' seeking for answers at 'Vigil', a city that not everyone is convinced exists. The answers of course is how do you stop a hoard of 'grin-dragons' from ripping apart and rearrange the reality knows as real.
Other questions come in to play, particularly Who and Why do they want to change reality?
This intriguing page-turner enhances the world that the previous books help create, while getting the reader to question if the world they have previous read is a true reflection of the world building arc this author mastery created or is there something hidden.

My 13 year old son has just finished this book. This is the 4th book in the broken spell series that he has read from the author J M Goldie. This is his review.

This book is exciting, action packed and always making you hang on till the last page.
The elemental magic and abilities of the of the characters are awesome and fascinating!
I would recommend this to anyone who likes books!
Can't wait to read the next one!
