When I was a kid, I was torn between whether or not I was going to grow up and be the Incredible Hulk or Wonder Woman. I flirted with being a Jedi Knight for awhile, but I wasn't up for the intense travel associated with the gig. In my teens, I settled on being a writer -- although I had no idea the effort that would entail.
Not only am I a writer now, but I'm a writer in several different mediums. I'm a longtime newspaper reporter, an avid reader and a voracious science fiction fanatic.

Consistently good

I scoop up everything by Amanda M. Lee and her non de plume, Lilly Harper Hart. In many ways, they are formulaic. Each series has a snarky, paranormal heroine with a gorgeous, boyfriend in law-enforcemment and a gay friend. They love food and fighting evil.
Yet each serious has a different location and mix of paranormal creatures. The series do not stagnate - the relationships develop and the storyline continues to build across volumes. I love them all. I especially like the crossovers.

3 great books

I had read the first two books previously and reviewed them - both 5 stars. I like to re-read them so I’m fully immersed in the story first the new book. Lots of action and unexpected twists in the new book that moves the overall prophecy storyline farther forward. Even with all the action, one of the main draws for me is the strong friend/family bonds, support and how they all interact. Looking forward to the next book.
