This is a book about vampires. If you didn't know that and hate vampires, then I'd recommend that you should stay away from this book. I personally am sick and tired of vampire books, and if I knew it, then I'd stay away from this book.

I overall thought that this one was okay. What kept it good was the fact that the romance and characters were pretty adorable. There were many boring moments that made me roll my eyes and the whole vampire concept is very lacking of awesomeness. Some authors can really create a gorgeous vampire world, but I found this one to be confusing and dull. Other than that, the book was pretty well-written.

This is about Clara, who's secretly a vampire. She's been one for over two hundred years, and went through many phases of relationships. When she meets William, it brings back memories of her love for his ancestor, Liam. They fall in love and head back to their hometown, and when William finds a photo of his ancestors, he finds a photo with a girl who looks exactly like Clara. (And it is.) He then proposes, and Clara figures out that she needs to tell William the truth, or else their whole relationship would be ruined.

I read this book fairly quickly. It took me about an hour and a half, and although it was fast-paced, I was bored at many times. The plot went by quickly, but the main problem was the concept which didn't interest me. There really was no point of this standalone. Vampires? Yuck.

But it was fast-paced... So that's a pro, right?

I adored the characters. Clara was just the most kick-ass chick I've read about in an adult novel. She was easy to relate to, and totally independent and perfect, just like William says. William was absolutely hot, steamy, and adorable. I kept fanning myself whenever his POV came up. ;) You'll adore him.

By the time the ending came, I realized that this book was more of a meh read for me. It had its flaws and good ideas, but the (bad) ending really stuck with me. It was predictably bad, but the romance made it a whole 'lot better because you'll decide that it was worth it.

This was a totally different type of read then I'm used to lately. It was young adult paranormal romance. I didn't realize this when I signed up to read. .. Totally my bad for not checking the fine print...

So I jumped in anyway..and  what really surprised me is all of the twists and turns that this quirky funny story had.

I can honestly say that things came from so many different directions that there
were times my mind was totally blown.

What I thought was gonna be a sweet little romance

where the heroine Clara needed to confess her "abilities" or ..um..."secret"  to her long time boyfriend William...turned into much much more.

Quickly I found myself ...dazed..confused but frozen

Explosions

Crazy psycho poisoning ex-mental hospital patients.

Wear Wolf Casanovas.

  Girl fight!!

Then the "secret reveal"

 and World War 3.

leading to..

& add in some sweet romantic **Totally PG**

interludes with William and Clara

(So sugary sweet I wanted to cuddle something..hard)

That I was left..high on craziness with a side of "WTF??

and

left to realize

that

But even though my mind was a little on the "completely blown" side.      I was totally HOOKED

Couldn't put it down!!!!

I can honestly say this was one crazy and entertaining and funny as heck read.. great for any young adult paranormal/fantasy fan out there. I'm so glad I jumped on this crazy train and went along for the ride.

** This book was provided by the author in order to receive an honest review **

This is the first book that I have read by Stacy and I want to say that I hope it isn't the last. I'm also hoping that there will be more to this story. Clara and William are so perfect and cute it's unreal!

At the start they seem to be the perfect couple with nothing relationship destroying between them, as such, but when they're back in Delphic Cove, you learn the truth.

I believed that Clara was a witch after what was thought thousands of years ago with Williams great, great x God knows how many times, Grandfather, but we learn that although she isn't human, she isn't a witch.

She desperately wants to tell William the truth but fears history will repeat itself. Eventually she tells him and takes it better than I thought he would.

It takes devastation to happen before William realizes that he'd take Clara any way he can... and thankfully, they work it out.

At the end of the book, William joins her in her life while on honeymoon... and then it ends... and then you scream at your kindle because you didn't want it to be over! I need more of these two! Now!

Okay so first 20% into the book and I thought, “No. This cannot be happening. No way in hell can this be happening to me again.”

So how to put this without:

1) Sounding like a complete bitch.
2) Not giving away the plot
3) Still reviewing with minimum spoilers

The story wasn’t half bad. In fact the concept was completely new and I was left completely shocked when Clara Erikson’s “secret” was revealed. It was NOT what I expected—at all—and while I love books that surprise me, the entire thing just started to go downhill as soon as I made the connection.

Hidden Intentions starts off with Clara trying to think of what she’ll do if her boyfriend of almost two years, William Lennox, proposes to her in an airport terminal. He actually starts to, but she distracts him.

Hidden Intentions #1 photo DEMPSEY-FACE-kick_zpsbdf36c67.gif

We then move on to see William’s perspective and learn about this sad, sad guy with oppressive parents and a will to be perfect in life. His father wants him to focus on his studies and not get into a serious relationship until he finishes college. William, however is a total rebel, we learn, considering he’s been going out with Clara behind mommy and daddy’s backs for two years.

Now this is what I learnt:

1) William met Clara in high school.
2) He went away to study in England.
3) This girl, Clara, went away with him to England.
4) While William took classes, Clara went sightseeing.

Hidden Intentions #2 photo tumblr_inline_mhkq7cSHSX1qz4rgp_zpsd2cadfdf.gif

Now there are some things that are believable, some things that you’re not quite sure can happen and some that are just downright laughable. This woman that he went to high school with was “sightseeing” while he was studying in a foreign country? I can understand taking a break from studying but following him to England, and then looking around for—what—a year?

By this point, I had already started to give up hope.

Then we get to the part where Clara debates on exactly how to tell him her big secret. Now I could go on and on about the number of clichés I found in there, but that would be giving too much away. But I’m pretty sure once you read it, you’ll know.

Remember when I mentioned William’s apparently stick-up-the-ass daddy? Throughout the book, there were rarely any instances when I feel Will Sr. was unfair. Sure he’s a bit…fast-paced? That’s the best thing I could come up with. He’s quick, and a no time to rest kind of a person, but that’s not too bad, is it? And when William tried to stand up to daddy, Will Sr. actually smiled. And then proceeded to say: “You ridiculous spine-less piece of shit. That’s what your mother and I wanted all along. For you to stand up for yourself. And now you’re doing it? Now?

Not exactly what he said, but it was close.

This story jumped around way too much for my liking. One moment there’s witches, then bombings, then wars, communism discussions, mentally disturbed blondes. You ask for it, and it’s there.

Like I said, there was a bombing involved. Something about Communist countries hating the President and Natalie (a friend of Clara’s) says this, while she’s worried about her fiancé Brayden.

“Why not just pick any communist country and attack? Show them we won’t be messed with.” Tears filled Natalie’s eyes.” They have no right to do this.”

Uncle John shook his head. “We can’t do that, dear. We wouldn’t get the backing of any other countries if we did. Although, the anti-communist countries are backing us up.”

Now, I’m hoping the author (and her editor) did not mean to imply that the country would just up and bomb one random country for another country’s fault. I understand that Natalie was distressed but that statement just didn’t sit too well with me.

The chemistry between Clara and William is a whole another thing altogether. If the plot between these two wasn’t ridiculously obvious, I would never know that they’re supposed to be together together. They seemed much like a well-greased machine—but more like what a couple of siblings would be. Even their sappy talk and kisses seemed sort of forced to me.

Hidden Intentions #3 photo awkward-kiss-Prairie-dog_zps7fcf36cb.gif

The writing seemed very, very dependent on dialogue. And again, like so many other books I’ve read this month, it seemed to follow a “this happened—then this happened” approach. It told and didn’t show.

The idea of the book was really good but the actual book seemed to fail to deliver.

It was interesting how she was annoyed by the wolf but yet they became allies when they need 2 b. Lol that psycho bit cheaper that tried 2 kill William needs a severe beat down and her mom 2 since she was in on it all and didn't do anything 2 stop it. It was a awesome wedding but it would have been much better with her favorite cousin there 2 besides her human family. I want 2 read more about them after he turns and about their new future.

I found I was very interested in this plot and the characters. From page one, to be honest with you the author gave us just enough regarding Clara’s secret and her past to keep us engaged and turning those pages and that was a real bonus for me. I really admired how she slowly yet with a very balanced style, started unfolding the mystery and we learned what it was that Clara was keeping so quiet. I am not a fan of telling me early on there is a huge secret and then dragging it out till the end only to find out it was not even that important. The author didn’t do that with this book, each detail exposed was done at the proper time and in the perfect amount to not spoil the story but keep me wanting more.
When she met William she knew there was a connection but there was no way she was going to expose herself to him till she was sure he was the one she was going to be with. William came from a long line of lawyers and parents who would never agree for him to marry anyone. When they returned from school William went to stay with his parents while Clara went to stay at a home that her missing cousin used to live at.
Once William decides that he is going to purpose Clara is going to have to come clean with her secret. Needless to say how William is going to react is a fear for her, especially after William found some pictures that was causing him massive confusion. I can’t give more of the story away because it would spoil the experience for you but trust me you will want to finish this one to get the whole truth about Clara and her life.
I enjoyed how she ended this book with more suspense and a chance for Clara to prove herself to William. The whole book read very smoothly and kept my interest from page one. The characters were created in a way that allowed the reader to connect and invest their emotions and hopes for the outcome of the story. The only thing that I was a bit unhappy about was I didn’t realize that this was a paranormal book by the synopsis. I am not a fan of paranormal genre but this book had already captured my attention by the time I found out it was paranormal. So what was beginning to be a negative turned into a positive because I still finished it and really enjoyed the time I spent with William and Clara.

This was a amazing book. I liked that there was lightness when needed and it had some heavy scenes but even than you could see that things would be okay. The book is about the love of Clara and William and how they grew as individuals and a couple. Now I must address clara

Dear Clara

Clara clara Clara...I hope you learned that secrets should not be kept that long. Williams reaction is justified girl. It had nothing to do with the content of what you said but the fact that you waited so long to tell him. Heck he felt like you didn't trust him and he felt betrayed.

william is a great guy. A sweet kind guy who is madly deeply in love with you. He has always told you everything. Secrets were not his forte. He trusted you with everything so did you really expect him to not act angry and upset. He needed time to absorb it all. Sort the feelings and you should have told him earlier than after he proposed and did what you did in the woods and his living room.

William grew up so much for you. Stood up to his dad for you. Just wanted you happy so really you needed to give him time. He loves you wholly and truly.

I am glad that you fought for him after the tragedy in the town. That was wonderful to see. At that time is when William needed you the most and his emotions were coming into clarity. He realized how much he truly loved you and needed all of you. Your fight to keep him from being treated worse by that nutcase Nichole was great to see. and that werewolf hubba hubba do you have his address girl?

Now as for victor...Be easier on him. He is confused, lost and in lust with you. You have always come to him and now you are standing with someone else that truly supports and loves you with everything he has in him. So be patient and kind...be firm in dealing with him as well he just needs to know that he isn't alone in the world.

I hope that you and William have a wonderful life together. Just remember no secrets and support him in all that he does. He has the best intentions and loves you like no other.

Sincerely

A fan of William and you being together forever.

A great book that will have you smile as you see these two come together and grow.

What a really cute, easy to read romance! I loved both main characters and really felt like getting to know them felt right with the plot.

Clara is very interesting and I had added up all of the clues and came out with a totally wrong assumption! I love when that happens! Although, hindsight being 20/20 I wouldn’t be surprised if many figured this out way in the beginning. Stacy Claflin leaves clues on purpose and Clara actually talks to people about what she is, so it’s no secret (really).

William is a really great main character. I like how he grows throughout the book. Just when I started to doubt him, his fabulous character would shine through. It was lovely to see that chivalry truly isn’t dead, even when William was facing a very strong paternal line!

His parents are interesting also, which I love. Too many YA / NA have no parents at all! William’s parents were quite the opposite. They wanted to be involved in every part of his life. Almost in an overbearing but very loveable way. And this is one of the many obstacles that their relationship faces.

But, here’s the weird thing, some of these obstacles seem a little forced. It felt like drama just to have drama. Not all of the obstacles, like William’s parents, but some at the character arc portions of the book. And these obstacles frustrated me rather than helped me to see their relationship in a greater light, they wound up taking away from the story. Especially the entire episode with Nichole and what happened to get William to her house. It was a bit too much for me.

All in all though, I loved the ending. I loved how things went along after all that drama. I also really like the character Tobias and I’m hoping that there will be another book just about him. I really like him even though he’s just a side character! I can totally imagine him being the hot, lead romantic character!

In short! Really cute! A few bumps in the road but nothing to stop the car for! ;)

Reading a lot of one genre can become a bit tiresome , but every once in a while you come across a really good book in that genre and you cannot put it down for me it was Hidden Intentions by Stacy Clafin which readers do not be fooled by the cover as this is in fact a Supernatural Romance of sorts, not just a contemporary story. In Hidden Intentions, we meet Clara and William who have been away for the break and are headed home for the Summer. They won't get to spend much time together as William has an internship all lined up and also his parents do not know that William and Clara have been seeing each other for years. Now though, William wants to marry Clara so he must introduce her to his family. Clara though is worried as she is hiding a deep dark secret and if exposed can go either way , in the past it has had her lose loves and almost burnt at the stake . Now which way will William go ? Will he reject Clara and all that she is or will her accept her for what she is and still marry her anyway as he loves her ?

This is a fast-paced novel and even though it is part of "The Transformed Series" , it can be read as I did as a stand-alone novel and readers, it is definitely worth the read and even more so if you love Supernatural Creatures and Romance.

Clara is heading back to her boyfriends hometown and ready to meet the parents. When she gets a clue that her boyfriend is going to propose to her it leads her to worry about her deeply guarded secret. Others weren't able to handle it so will Willam be like the rest or would he accept her secret?

I really liked this book. I loved watching the relationship between Clara and William enough to root for things to go well between the two. I loved that I got both of their point of views. The only things I didn't like was in different times is seemed random things that didn't have much to do with the book occurred which led me to think maybe it has something to do with the other books from the Transformed series. I wouldn't know because I didn't even know about the existence of other books until I started to write this review.I was also thinking there was going to be a bit more conflict with her and other characters but they were resolved way to quickly in my opinion.

This book was fast paced, interesting and I really enjoyed it. I recommend you lovely readers to check out this book.

First, I have to say that I was gifted this book by the author for an honest review. Second, I have to say that had I realized that it was a paranormal romance I probably would have passed as I don't usually read this genre. So I'm glad I didn't realize it because I thoroughly enjoyed the book! The characters are likable, the storyline moved along nicely keeping you in just enough suspense to make you not want to put it down. I engaged with the characters enough that I am going to start reading the series from the beginning. If the rest of the books are like this one then I will devour the series in short order because you just have to keep reading to see what's going to happen next! Stacy did a great job with this book so I have high hopes for all of the others. I'll let you know as soon as I read them!

As a long term fan of Stacy Claflin's Transformed Series, I was looking forward to reading Clara's story as it was never said what she did during the time after the fight in which so many people died. This book fills out those details perfectly, as well as giving a build up to the walls being built around Delphic Cove and the collapse of civilisation as we know it, technology included.

It is a difficult decision that Clara has to make. Tell William about her being a vampire and maybe losing him or not telling him and live their life with a huge lie there constantly. I think Clara made the right choice and so did William but I won't say more than that.

Brilliantly written, a nice standalone book although I personally preferred reading it as part of the series. Definitely recommended!

I can honestly say that this is a 5 star review.
Clara loves William. William loves Clara. But Clara has a secret that she knows she must tell William if she wants to keep him. Clara is worried about how William will take the news that she is a vampire. He already begins to question how someone that looks like Clara be in the family photos. How will William take the news that his love, Clara is a vampire? If the bombings hadn't happened would William have believed that Clara was a vampire? Will he want Clara to turn him?

I can say that Stacy had me holding my breath during this book, I wanted to keep reading to find out what happened next.

In Hidden Intentions, Clara loved William but kept an awful secret that could ruin his love for her. Once he proposes, she has to tell him. But sometimes things are hard to understand.

I infrequently read YA or paranormal, but won this e-book and decided to give it a read. I had a hard time putting it down. The author wove and released a tale that kept me spell-bound. I had to know what was going to happen next. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The remaining characters were so intriguing, I'm interested in reading the rest of the series. Don't miss a great read!

Transformed is a pretty good paranormal series however I struggled with is one. I just couldn't get into the story or the characters but that doesn't mean it won't work for you. I thoroughly enjoy Stacy Claflin's books and as long as she keeps writing, I'll keep reading.
