As a huge fan of Violet's work I am always excited to see what she will come up with next! Like her other works, Mate is a unique and intriguing story that compels you to turn the page.
At the beginning of the story we find out that Simone is being held captive, used as a sex slave to a faceless nameless Master. Terrified and feeling emotions she doesn't understand, Simone finds herself falling in love with this strange man despite her overwhelming fear. When she is suddenly released her entire world is rocked when she learns the truth of her captivity. Simone is now faced with the task of starting over as a single mom, all the while being constantly reminded of her harrowing experience. When the mysterious Issac shows up at the restaurant, Simone works at, she has no idea what to do about his insistence on helping her out. Intensely attracted to Isaac and yet still feeling the emotional pull of her master Simone is faced with quite a dilemma!
As this is a serial I was expecting the sudden ending and am excited to start the next part of this compelling story!

This story immediately pulls you right in the middle of what seems like sub/master scenario between Cara (Simone) and a mystery man. But you quickly learn there is a twist in the story. One that you do not see coming at all and will leave you thinking to yourself what in the hell just happened. Fast forward 10 months later and Simone is working as a waitress and struggling to make ends meet as a single parent. Then one day a man is dining where Simone works and leaves her a huge tip and we come to find out his name is Isaac and he seems interested in Simone. She wonders about him and is attracted to him but as time passes she doesn't think she'll see him again as he hasn't been back into the diner. That is until he accosts her outside the diner one night. Can she let him in after still being in love with her mysterious master/kidnapper? This is a quick read and great beginning to a new serial by Violet.

This was a short quick read that I found interesting. Simone was kidnapped and treated as a sex slave for two months she loves her Master although she knows she shouldn't because he has imprisoned her. When she is suddenly released she knows she will never see him again. She goes home to find her husband in bed with another women and to make matters worse he was the one to set up her being kidnapped. This was a good short story that I wished was longer. When Simone meets Isaac she is working as a waitress at a diner, he is a customer that leaves an amazing tip that comes at just the right time for her and her son. This book was well written I am looking to find out if Isaac is her son's father or not. I gave this story three stars because it was short and I wanted more back story on each of the MC's.

Unexpected, shocking, totally sucked me in and has me intrigued to find out more. I really didn't know what to expect from Mate but I'm hooked. Simone is kidnapped and treated as a slave, she loves her Master though she knows she shouldn't because he has imprisoned her. When she is suddenly released, well, let's just say I wasn't expecting this twist. When Simone meets Isaac she is working as a waitress at a diner, he is a customer that leaves an amazing tip that comes at just the right time for her and her son. What does Isaac want with Simone? Why has he taken an interest in her? Will Simone be able to trust Isaac? Great chemistry and mystery have been established, excited to see where it leads in the next installment.

This book entranced me from the very first two words "Don't waver." Simone has been kidnapped, kept in sexual slavery for two months, then released without explanation. Thrown back into her disastrous life, she meets Isaac, who seems to know more about her than she feels comfortable with.
The story breaks all the rules of erotica writing (heroine has children, a broken marriage, non-consensual sex) but gets away with it because the tale she weaves is so seductive. Part 1 is short but definitely not sweet, a dark sexy tale that will not be for all tastes. The warning at the beginning needs to be needed by anyone of a tender-hearted nature. Extremely well written and dark erotica.
Now I'm off to read Part 2!

Violet Haze has done it again, I love her writing!!! This book is about a woman named Simone who is kidnapped as a sex slave. She has feelings for her master, but understands that she shouldn't as he is the person who kidnaps her. Simone gets released and is free!! Woot woot, though it is a huge shock and it is so unexpected. Simone later meets a man named Isaac while she is working as a waitress in a diner. Isaac is a customer that leaves an great tip that comes just when she needs it most to help her support her son. So why does Isaac have an interest in Simone, how will he treat her? Will he be good to her and will she be able to overcome her past. They have great chemistry together! I can't wait to read the rest of the story! Loved it!!!

2 parts WOW 1 part OH MY!!!! This is a very short story about Simone a young woman that has been abducted to be a sex slave but in this story the slave is not a volunteer nor is she ever allowed to know who shes with or where she is.. After a period of time she is released but what kind of life can she now lead after having been forced to be a subservient sex slave without choice and full of fear. This book is graphic so I would have to recommend it to 18 and over only, or at least a more adult minded person. I cant really go any deeper into the story without giving the entire thing away but it is definitely worth the read im moving on to part 2

Skip ahead now with a baby Simone is a single mum and divorced after she found out her husband was behind the kidnapping. Working and just making ends meet a stranger shows an interest in her but he seems to know more a lot about her apart from the fact she has a son.
Just what is Issac's intentions? Will Simone find out who her kidnapper was/is?

From the beginning this author pulled me right into Simone's world. It was dark but I felt the light. This book was my introduction into the world of Erotica/BDSM, and I loved it. The way the author used her characters allowed me an entrance into a place that I had secretly longed to be. Simone/Cara was me, maybe not literally but still I felt her, and Isaac was a man I have dreamed of having. By the end of the book I was left with a feeling of regret and anticipation to take the next part of their journey.

This short read will tingle the desires of all the dark romance, bdsm readers. It is made for adults. I absolutely love how this author wrote the warnings in this book, if you didn't read those you should, they are unique! Violet always includes some touchy subjects in her work and I'm personally glad that she does this as so many are afraid to approach these subjects.

Intriguing and sexual tension
Well written with character development that maintains interest. Sexual tension is high. I was disappointed when I reached the end but look forward to its continuation.

This book was more than ok so I gave it 3 stars. It's abit sick and twisted and it freaks me out that she likes the kidnapper so much. It zips through the story so takes no time at all to read plus it's only 46 pages long.
