"Get ready to step into the darkness and uncover the twisted secrets of Colton’s world…if you dare.
They think they can cage me, but you can’t lock away a beast, especially when it’s fixated on its one obsession.
Snow Collins.
She haunts my dreams, and I won’t stop until she’s completely mine.
This treatment facility is just another prison, and I’m done playing nice. My father wants to buy my silence, my brother wants to save her from me, but they don’t know the lengths I’ll go to for what I want. And when I find a way out of this hell, she’ll know who truly owns her.
Forbidden Secrets is book two of the Forbidden Series. A dark bully romance where love and hate blur as Colton plunges deeper into his darkness. But in the depths of his obsession, can he find redemption, or will he continue to destroy everything in his path?
Very excellent read, in all it's dark chaotic, messy, healing for Colton. This story is raw, emotional, and the truths are unlocked. Colton finally has someone in his corner and starts his healing. Ruby is a very talented author. She grabs a hold of your attention. And doesn't let go. You feel the raw messy emotions of the characters. Your heart aches for them. You cheer them on. You get wrapped up in the story and can't stop reading until the very last word appears on the page. And then you still want more. LoL. I highly recommend this book and you must read Forbidden Hearts first. There may be triggers for some people so check TW before reading. I truly loved this delicious, dark, messy, chaotic story of Colton's life. Now we all understand his unhinged behavior from the first book. Enjoy the darkness 🖤
The long awaited sequel I have been waiting for and by God it didn’t disappoint. It was raw, mad, dramatic and healing. The characters have been through some drama and Ruby captures it perfectly making us feel like we are right there with them. Advisable to read book 1 in order to understand what the MCs are going through. Colton was one troubled character and he eventually became a better person. Fantastic read.
Please, please make sure you read Forbidden Hearts before you start this book. Forbidden Secrets is the continuation of Colton’s story.
Wow—this book completely blew me away! I had not read Forbidden Hearts first, so I quickly devoured the book. Ruby has grown so much as an author, since Forbidden Hearts came out in February 2025.
Forbidden Secrets is one of those stories that grabs you by the heart and doesn’t let go. From the very beginning, I felt pulled into the emotional storm of these characters, and by the end, I was rooting for them like they were real people. Ruby Capri has such a gift for writing raw, honest emotions—you can feel every ounce of pain, guilt, and hope in these pages.
What I loved most is how the story balances darkness with light. It doesn’t shy away from tough, messy truths, but it also reminds you that healing is possible, even when everything feels broken. The characters are so layered and human; their struggles hit hard, and their growth feels earned. If you’re looking for a book that will make you feel deeply, think about life, and leave you with hope, this is it. Ruby Capri has created something unforgettable here. I honestly didn’t want it to end.
Absolutely phenomenal. Highly recommend to anyone who loves emotional, character-driven stories.
My favorite quotes:
“You ever destroy something just because it’s the only thing you can control? Have you ever hurt someone you love just to make the pain stop for half a minute?” - Colton
“But secrets never go away. They rot. They fester. And the longer you hold onto them, the more they eat you from the inside out.”
“His confession itself is raw, but it’s the way he says it…like he would tear himself open to prove there’s nothing left inside him.”
“I never thought I’d get this. I thought broken people were meant to stay broken, meant to haunt each other’s memories, not find a way to make something real out of the wreckage. But here we are…still standing . . “
Wow, I’m speechless. The secrets, lies and corruption goes even deeper than I thought. I knew Tom was a real ace hole but dang….it went way deeper than even I imagined. He really messed with Colton’s head. Making him bury the most tragic of secrets, he wasn’t allowed to tell ANYONE, he wasn’t allowed to talk about it. It destroyed him, then his mom dying, him losing the scholarship he worked his butt off for, the final straw was the betrayal of his mother. I thought it was a moment a snap in his mental state but it was several things all piled on to make one huge mess and Snow was his outlet…although not a good one. This read was tragically painful in so many ways but in walks Harper and I literally broke at her story. She was a fighter and exactly what Colton needed to move forward in anyway he could. Even if it was in a million pieces and shattering the world over…it was moving forward. That ending…again…wow.
